Detailed Reviews
This charming hotel has a vibe all its own and one you will absolutely love! If you're looking for a relaxed "island" environment, you'll find it here! We felt like we were either in the Caribbean or in California when the Beach Boys were around with all the sandy areas around the pools and fire pits (which were simple to use and enjoy each night), the string of lights hanging throughout the resort, and the palm trees and beautiful vegetation everywhere. The pools are clean and a perfect way to wind down after a day at the beach or later in the evening. The thatch roofed cabanas and lounge chairs were fun to relax in around the pool. The free bikes were a super safe and quick way to get to the beach each day! Although the hotel sits on a main street we didn't hear the traffic and didn't need to use the white noise machine when sleeping. Beds and pillows were comfy, room was very clean, a/c worked perfectly during our 5 day visit. Our basic room gave us plenty of privacy, an outdoor patio area that had two tables, 6 chairs, an umbrella and fountain along with stunning flowers and plants. Our room was spacious and had a perfect, albeit small, fully-stocked kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, sink and stove/oven. The bathroom was small but did the trick; the water pressure was fine and the lighting was very good. The paint colors on the walls of the room created more of the island feeling which we loved instead of the traditional big hotels that feel cold and cookie-cutter at times. The staff was amazing from the young people who manage the front desk to the maid who smiles all the time and gets whatever your need...and all with a great attitude! Jose at the front desk is a super sharp young man. Ask him about his love of cars and he'll teach you more than you probably know. We'll be back!

Diamond in the rough! Such a good feeling walking into this resort - lush tropical plantings, pop color on hammocks at every turn, cozy nooks for conversation in tiki huts, swings, rockers, two pools, fire pits, and clean Caribbean-feel rooms. Ours was spacious with full kitchen, Keurig coffee, and private lanai with 2 seat high top and umbrella table for 4. Friendly & helpful staff. Perfect place for a Girls Weekend, Family Reunion, or romantic get-away. Easy drive to choice of beaches. We’ll be back!

The beds were luxurious and rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated. Mechanically, the hot water was endless and air conditioning system provided great comfort. Ceiling fans throughout the condo provided a gentle breeze. The whirlpool tub was a pleasure and walk in shower spacious. The pool area truly is Great escape into a tropical paradise. The sound of the water fall provided a calming atmosphere and the saline pool water temperature felt both warm and refreshing. Even beach chairs and umbrella are provided for a day out on Siesta Key beach. All in all Mission Accomplished! A very memorable and pleasant trip. Thank you again, Mike & Maryann for making our family getaway possible.

My Husband and I stayed here for a long weekend vacation and we will not be back!
The string lights you see in all the pictures online are beautiful, UNTIL they're shining in your windows all night! The back porch light does NOT turn off! This along with the string lights (even with the blinds shut and the curtains drawn) you could read a book with the amount of light coming in.
Housekeeping did NOT sweep and mop before we arrived. After walking around barefooted in our room, our feet were black and gritty from dirt and sand. We had to wash them off before we left to go anywhere!
The Pillows are pancake flat! I had to stuff 3 into one pillowcase just to equal the thickness of a normal pillow.
The white noise machine's they claim are for "ambiance"... We found out pretty quickly they're really to drown out the noise of the cars with loud mufflers and stereos frequently driving by. The Hotel sits directly next to the main road. Trying to sleep here is like trying to sleep in the middle of a NASCAR Race!
The Bathroom is super small and has no fan, you do the math. The toilet's are "low flow" it took 5 flushes to get rid of last night's dinner ! The Shower wall had mold growing on it and the Sink had limescale build-up. A Mildew smell permeated the air.
The Fountain on our back patio was broken and the area was littered with dead plant vegetation.
The Stove was dented with peeling paint and rusted coils, we were afraid to cook on it.
We would have left the moment we saw the room and stayed at a much better Hotel, had we been willing to lose the over $500 we paid for only 3 nights.
We have several friends and family who vacation in Siesta Key, we will inform them to steer clear of this dump and we suggest you do as well!

Just returned from a five night stay at Siesta Key Palms Resort. It is a small property with many nooks and crannies to explore to escape. Hammocks and lounge chairs were placed either in the sun or shade for your enjoyment. Tropical music is piped in through out the property which helped to alleviate the noise from the major road going to Siesta Key. My husband opted for a suite and it was well worth the extra money. Enjoyed the private patio with the hammock as we entertained some friends when we were there. My only recommendation to the owners is that there is no bureau in the bedroom to unpack clothes and minimal space or hangers in the closet. We essentially lived out of our suitcases on the floor. My other concern was the additional $20.00 a night resort fee. If you feel you need this charge so your guests can sit around a pool just incorporate it in your room charge but don't charge extra. Would I come back to his resort...in a heartbeat.

I booked this place through Orbitz. I think there is a miscommunication between Orbitz and the resort because our room did not have a kitchenette like stated. Many of the amenities they advertise do not work. The wifi barely worked depending on where you were on the property. The grill would not ignite. The only people working on the property are young kids whose answer is usually “yeah, I don’t know” and that’s if you can track them down. There is no room service. You have to track someone down for towels, toilet paper, and take out your own trash. The environment is nice, but there are bugs everywhere. I’m not sure the filters in the pools actually work and I’ve yet to see anyone clean the pools. You could do worse than this place for sure, but I’m not impressed and I have no idea why I paid a resort fee for things that don’t work.

When we booked this the pictures made it look very beautiful and even the reviews were great. Big let down. First checking in the guy didn’t seem to know when the rooms would be ready and we were about 30 min earlier than 4pm because our flight landed early. However there was no way our room was cleaned right before we got here. The floor was filthy with sand and dirt, we had to sweep right away. Bugs and cobwebs everywhere. The blanket that was provided to us was nasty and had stains on it. The night stand in the bed room had blood on it. Yes it was blood we have pictures. Gross, not to mention in the bathroom the amount of mold and gunk in the corners and film on the floor was gross. Forget about hanging anything up to keep it off the ground because the hooks aren’t anchored in the wall you can tell where they have fallen out before and then they just shoved them into new holes. The pools were nice however dirty, one of the other hotel guests was actually cleaning the pool with the skimmer one afternoon. Don’t expect to relax or enjoy a book because they do their yard/lawn maintenance during the day around 12-3 this includes a loud leaf blower and rake. They come all around you to pick up leaves and blow them, this was very upsetting. Thought we were going to get some tranquility. I even asked the yard guy if he was almost done and told him it was loud but he didn’t speak any English. If you can’t fall asleep at the pools listening to the leaf blower then hope you don’t have a room by the highway. It is about 5 feet from the road and you can hear everything!!! All the cars, they have a nice fountain but they turn it off at night so it becomes really quiet and all you hear are the cars and road noise. You can hear your neighbors thru the wall and when you leave everyone knows because the doors have to be slammed shut so that they close. If this is what you want in a vacation then book it now you can’t get this anywhere else. However if you would like tranquillity, cleanliness, relaxing fun atmosphere I suggest you look somewhere else because this isn’t worth the cost. Just being honest.

OMG, hands down, the best place we've stayed in FL. This was our first time to Siesta Key and we will never stay anywhere else! The place was clean, comfortable, and the maintenance was top notch. The rooms were very clean and the grounds were kept up top notch! The pool was nice and warm (no hot tub needed). We loved all the seating areas and all pictures online are true to life. The staff was excellent. They got us in early as we had arrived early. You can bike anywhere with the free bikes or take the Frog Hop (free ride over the bridge to the Siesta Key beach). So no car needed and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. We went early March and the place was sold out, but still quiet. Our unit faced the main street, but we didn't hear hardly any street noise and they had enough vegetation you didn't even know it was there. We made our own breakfast in the morning with the full kitchen and ate right out the back door in one of the seating areas with the firepits. We will definitely stay here again. It was hands down 5 stars!

Enjoyed our stay in half of the duplex with our daughters family in other half. Had our own heated pool and hot tub! Walked to beach one block. Enjoyed the decor and comfortable beds and clean rooms. Even had a basket of snacks and a am asst of items to purchase for 1.00 if you forgot toothbrush, etc. Above and beyond perfect at a great location to the village for restaurants and stores only a few blocks.

Booked two studio rooms they were great with one being better than the other as far as cleanliness and just a few minor details that I'm sure they will correct. Location is perfect if you want to be close to Siesta Key without the prices of Siesta Key especially if you have a group and you're spread out. Very cute and comfortable! All amenities you would expect from a nice Hotel. My new go to place when i visit my family & friends in the Sarasota area.
