We came here for a few days before going to Orlando. The rooms were okay, but for what we paid, I would have expected a lot more.. We had to check out early and only stayed for one night. I probably won't go back, unless there are some more updates. The staff was very polite and friendly, and they were...

Refurbishment ongoing to good effect. The sofa and the faux orchid added to the look. Good wifi, reasonably quiet air con, inviting if small pool. Traditional diner across the road offered classic food. Environs are elegant suburbs. It's very near an airport but you don't hear the planes at night, and if you're at the back of the motel, you...

We book a different hotel about 5 miles away that was just awful! So awful that we left at 10pm and ended up at the Lantern Inn by chance. The front desk representatives were wonderful, they showed us our room to ensure cleanliness. The room is so fresh and clean feeling. We got a King size bed room. It had...

We stayed for two nights. Staff was very friendly. We were initially booked into a remodeled room but it was right next to the road and very loud. We were then moved to an older room in the back of the building. It was a great trade because the quiet made up for the lack of renovation. Pool was very...

My husband and I spent one week in mid-February with Jim and his staff. We arrived on Saturday and a potluck dinner was being hosted by the owners from 5-10 p.m., complimentary for all of the guests. The facility is under renovation and we did have some issues - a leaky toilet, a burnt out light bulb, a non-serviced room...

I stayed at the Lantern in for 10 days. There is new construction going on but not intrusively. Our room was newly redecorated & it was clean! The service was great & the pool was awesome. Definitely worth the money. Overall it was excellent!

The exterior of the hotel is a bit shabby, mostly because remodeling is in progress. However, the room was completely updated with comfortable bed, microwave, fridge and modern bath. Stayed only one night for spring training game in Bradenton. The room was quiet and the AC was new and worked well. Had a good breakfast at the restaurant across the...

I will start off by saying this was the first week of March in Sarasota (spring break) and high season but it is hard to say a lot of nice things when you spend $177 ($159 plus taxes) for a $75 room. I know the new owners are trying to improve the place but this is an OLD run-down hotel...

I can't tell you enough what a wonderful two weeks we had at the Lantern Inn and Suites! Wonderful people for staff. Very professional, helpful, welcoming, friendly...the list goes on! Gorgeous pool, very clean and comfortable rooms and beds, other guests are very friendly, and various activities for guests if they choose. I will not stay anywhere in Sarasota/Bradenton but...

The motel is under new management and is getting remodeled. Breakfast isn't included. We had to ask for coffee pot with coffee and Kleenex. People had left garbage in the parking lot. The pool did look inviting though. The owner was helpful in finding a seafood restaurant.
