I booked this hotel because it was private and a great price for my budget. Dawn, the owner, met us upon arrival. The room was great and more than we needed. This hotel/condo type environment was quiet the entire weekend. It is also perfectly situated across from a delicious ice cream shop and a couple of restaurants. Food is great!...

Thanks to Tarpon Tale Inn, we had a perfect vacation. Stayed in Island Sunset room and was happy with everything. The next day we had the complimentary wagon and walked down the side street to the beach that was away from all the crowds. Sure we could see them but we were no where near them. Such a great time....

The Tarpon Tale Inn is nothing like a regular hotel. They rent studios and apartments in island style. We thought it was the best!. Our apartment was light and spacious with 2 bedrooms and a great "garden". The owner Joe was very helpfull and friendly. They provide you with bikes and all the gear you want to go to the...

My husband and I stayed there August 10th thru 12 -- and just got home. We found it a quiet, restful place and we enjoyed it. It was nice that there were restaurants across the street, and also a famous ice cream place- Pinocchio's Ice cream. The room was nice, clean with a small kitchen, comfortable bed and a great...

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Birdhouse efficiency. Everything was great: clean, quiet, private. The location is great also. It is less then a 5 minute walk/bike to the gulf or bay. Across the street there is excellent ice cream and breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again in the future.

My husband and I stayed at this inn from July 27-29 in the room up front by the road (right next to the office). I kept the a/c running all night for white noise and never was bothered by any road noise. The room was clean and inviting, and there was a washer/dryer on the premises along with free bikes...

The internet photos don't do Tarpon Tales justice. We were greeted by the owners' adorable youngsters selling lemonade to raise money for a cancer charity. Our cottage was charming and we looked forward to dining at home BUT the lighthouse themed restaurant just accross the street was too tempting. I truly wish there were more places like Tarpon Tales, especially...

We needed some worry free time, so I brought my husband to Sanibel. I had been to Sanibel many years ago and he had never been. I wanted to stay within the lighthouse area and at a real island inn. This one had good rates, nice pictures and good reviews. This place is so nice. We did not meet anyone...

We just experienced our first stay at the charming Tarpon Tale Inn and expect it will not be our last. Friendly service and a perfect location combine to make this a great place to stay. We were in the Island Sunset room; just right for two people. We loved that everything you need for the beach is available: we loaded...
