This is simply an amazing place to stay. It's in a wonderful location! You can simply walk out your door and very quickly you are on the beach. The pool was wonderful for the little one to swim. It was very nice to have a naturalist from the Shell Museum provide a nature walk right at the resort. I can't...

We're happy you enjoyed your Island Inn stay and took advantage of our beach walk that is offered daily and conducted by a marine biologist from The Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum. The pool area is gated and a good place for little ones to enjoy the water under adult supervision. We look forward to your return.

Rooms here are lovely and access to the beach easy. Nice educational services providing information about shells and sea creatures. They have a sweet little pool that is not overcrowded and the restaurant is quite good. Just a lovely historic place

Peaceful, well maintained, and well located, the Island Inn is well situated for our winter visit to Sanibel Island. Sea shells can be found within a minute or two out our backdoor or veranda of our first floor room. We are very close to the "Ding" Darling NWR and it is easy to get to any other destination on Sanibel....

The Island Inn strives to provide "cherished memories, modern comforts". We've been welcoming people to Sanibel since 1898. The Inn works hard to maintain its cultural heritage while keeping current with the times! We're pleased you enjoyed your stay! We have a great shelling beach, which you discovered and we're located in an area that is a bit off the...

This was our first visit to Sanibel Island. We didn't know where to stay but we did our reviews on trip advisor and decided Island Inn was the place for us. It met all our expectations and then some! We were all in desperate need of a calm and relaxing get away. (Our son is in medical school and was...

We feel so grateful when we are able to positively impact people's lives. Providing a relaxing location for people to escape, unwind and rejuvenate is what we strive to do for each of our guests. It makes us happy that some of our "little things" made you the happiest. We hope you return under different circumstances and enjoy another stay...

Historical site with great location and caring staff, what more can you ask for in a vacation spot. Many options from the beach, bike and paddle board rentals and a friendly staff. We had multiple rooms and all were nice and if we come back we will book earlier to get one of their great looking cottages.

I brought my two kids to the Island Inn from Dec 19 to Dec 23. We loved it. My kids loved the breakfast and were satisfied with the variety. I would call it continental breakfast plus! The beds were really comfortable. We stayed in a kitchenette room and was nice to have a fridge. We shopped at Jerry's Foods. Also...

It sounds like you had a great time. Good tips for travelers that are planning to arrive. I would suggest the Island Cinema next to Bailey's. They have first run movies and the theater is very comfortable. We hope you'll come again.

It was a perfect gateway for our family. The staff was helpful and friendly. We stayed in the Kimball Lodge. Our room had everything we needed such as microwave, fridge, coffee pot, spare utensils and cups. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good. We loved everything, except one thing - the presence of the...

Thank you for the review. We've recently put up signs at the Inn about the no-see-ums....They occur naturally on Sanibel & Captiva and they do bite! They seem to bite some people more than others and we don't know why. For future reference, the front desk sells insect repellents that can be helpful in keeping the no-see-ums from biting.

This comfortable, attractive, on-the-beach hotel is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Florida mainland and enjoy lots of sunshine and warmth. An extra bonus: the shelling is phenomenal! The beach is not too crowded, and the waves throw large amounts of different kinds of shells up into the sand, making both avid and...

My family stayed over Christmas for 4 nights, and loved the Island Inn! We stayed in Starky Lodge, and was perfect for 4 people (2 adults/2 kiddos). They offered a shell tour in the mornings that I highly recommend. Great beach... never busy! Cute shell cleaning station too! Also had pool, shuffle board, bike rentals, etc. The continental breakfast offered...

We're so glad your family enjoyed their stay at the Island Inn and took advantage of the beach walk. Shelling has been a favorite pass time at the Inn for many years. The cleaning station has recently been updated and I'm glad you found it useful. Thank you for the review.

This was our first time to Sanibel although it had been on my bucket list for years. I wanted a quiet place on the beach and this fit the bill perfectly. The beach, the birds, the ocean, the clouds and all those shells were just a few steps away. The unit was large and spotless and each one even had...
