Extremely clean!! Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Microwave, refrigerator. Decent quiet neighborhood. The office has an area with drinks and snacks for sale. It has plenty of handy plugs to handle everyone’s technology. Definitely, a very acceptable place to stay and close to historic district.

You can tell this hotel was remodeled which made it look very nice. The staff was friendly and wifi worked well. This hotel is about 10 min to the center which made it convenient at a good price. It is a good budget option while visiting St Augustine.

This is a modern, updated, and clean Roadway Inn. The interior of these rooms are stylish and chic, similar to what you might find in Miami, but at a reasonable price.
The staff was helpful and friendly and let us switch rooms because of a noise issue. That leads me to my one complaint: thin walls. You are likely to hear noise from the adjoining rooms so you should have earplugs on hand.
This is actually the BEST Roadway Inn that I have even stayed at.

I made my reservation for Heidi Howard at 14;45 she called reported sick and would stay where she was. I promptly called to cancel the reservation approximately two hours later, I was told I would be charged for one night. I fail to understand why. She never went to the room ,the bed was not disturbed the room was never opened. All the clerk had to do was line out the information I gave her over the phone.

I had to deal with a call center that was clearly in India to book a 2 night reservation, since the website wasn't working. Then I called again the night before our arrival to add an extra night, and again had to deal with a call center in India. They ended up increasing the rate on nights we already booked after we added an extra night. This makes no sense, and if we had known that, we would have just made a separate reservation for the extra night instead of adding it on to our existing reservation. Front desk at the inn was of no help when I told them about the situation. I have family in the area and just bought 2 properties myself in St. Augustine, so I will sure when we have friends and family visit that we tell them not to stay here.

This is the best economy class motel I have ever been at. The entire place is clean, well lit, nice TV, very comfortable.

The pool is clean with sufficient space to sit at.

Complex area is well lit at night. Access to the laundry/ ice machine is secured with room key access only.

Rooms are clean and seem to be newly renovated. Bed is comfortable, TV is large with a decent selection of channels, has mini fridge, small coffee maker, and plenty of room to move around in.

The location is decent. Within a few miles of downtown, multiple restaurants and tourist attractions.

I would definitely stay here again.

Especially beware if you are a single woman traveling alone as the office does not stay open 24/7. At night there is a sign on the "office" door providing a phone number if someone is needed. This, along with the truck drivers and random man sitting and smoking on the outside 2nd floor deck and the rust and paint pealing from every exterior surface frightened me so much I cancelled my 2nd night and left early in the morning. Spit out tobacco and cigarette butts, too. (There was a delightful young woman who worked in the biggest upheaval of an office. Poor girl.) The interior of the room, however, appeared clean but was scantily furnished. No hair dryer.

First room: AC was too noisy. The room temperature was about 3-4 degrees higher than the control panel. In reality, there's no control over the thermostat. The room was heavily loaded with a sewer line smell. Definitely, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was too loud than average. The body shampoo bottle was not pumping at all. The worst part is one of the beds generated a squeaky noise once you turn or move your body because of the metal mattress and box! Lost the first night of sleep!!! The next day morning we were able to replace it with another room, and the problem was resolved, but the exhaust fan is still way too loud!!!

I visited Valentine’s weekend. Room looked just like in the pictures, clean, no dirty carpets or big comforters. Bathroom was clean and also renovated. Everything was perfect and simplistic. Lobby isn’t renovated yet, but the woman at front desk was nice. Didn’t experience any problems other than the shower water doesn’t get hot, just warm. The bed was also a little squeaky on one side but nothing awful. The hotel is about a mile up the road from the historical district which was fine, because if you head out earlier you can get cheaper parking at the fort or park down a side street a few blocks north. There’s a great coffee shop a block down from the hotel that does amazing lattes and blueberry muffins- you have to check it out!

Let’s start by saying, I wasn’t expecting 5 star experience,,.I was however expecting to have the basic necessities. Check in was a breeze, staying three nights. No mention of housekeeping but I know since the pandemic most hotels are not doing this for short stays. We were in the back building which technically doesn’t have a parking area near it so it was difficult finding a spot. We arrived and had some late dinner plans so we were just going to relax in our room, Forget that, the solid hours of someone in the front building BLARING music. We left for dinner and arrived back around 930pm. Not a parking spot to be found. Had to park along the street behind the front building. There was however a large construction truck parked taking up five spaces. There is literally no insulation in these rooms, when some one upstairs closes a door it sound as if they are reconstructing. The beds are mattresses on springs like my fold out couch. Day two as we left for the day, I asked for towels. I was told no problem. Returned to room spend 5 pm, No towels, walked to front desk to ask for towels. The desk clerk was sitting outside smoking, I was told “they are in the laundry, I’ll bring some to you”. Returned from dinner, stop no towels. There is no phone in the room to even call the front desk. Despite no housekeeping, I shouldn’t have to walk around here looking for two more towels for a three night stay. Lesson learned, book early so your go to favorite hotel isn’t sold out and toy end up at Rodeway.
