We stayed here for a day the week before Christmas, 2016. The first impressions are of Victorian charm and dated elegance. There is ample off-street parking. This is a bonus in a neighborhood more suited for the thoroughfare of horses and buggies. On street parking is at a premium. Assorted candies, tea and a decanter of wine are placed in...

From the reviews, pictures and description of the property we expected more. There was no one there for our arrival, even with check in at 3 pm at 3:45 someone finally showed up. When checking in we were advised our lock to our room was broken and would be fixed shortly, not done till the next day. 82 degree weather...

Location was within walking of all attractions. Room was clean and comfortable. Was not in it much. Breakfast was outstanding and more than enough to eat. Heather was extremely nice and helpful in many ways. Can't wait to visit again. we will always try to stay in a B&B. You always meet so many other nice couples from all over.

I would recommend this hotel unless you are looking for a modern hotel experience. Our stay was for 2 nights and was thoroughly enjoyable. It was a bit of an "old fashioned" experience and very comfortable. The location was perfect and the hotel provides parking for guests- a real plus for St. Augustine!

Our stay was short and easy enough. The property is in need of some spiffing up but I understand that it's probably an on-going battle with old houses. Our room on the second floor had back door access which was good since we were traveling with two small dogs. The bed was comfortable; the lighting was not great - bulbs...

The best part about this B&B is the location. It is not on the main drag of St. Augustine but an easy walk from everything. We parked our car (free parking at the inn) when we arrived and didn't get it in again for the rest of the weekend. We stayed in the Victoriana unit, which met our needs. The...

We had a pleasant stay at this place. It was very welcoming and close to the city center. Will go back when I get a chance. Happy to have picked the right place to stay. The breakfast served was awesome.

The hosts were great. Parking includes plugs for those with electric vehicles and the breakfast served was wonderful. The charming home that is minutes from St. George St. and within walking distance to just about everything in St. Augustine.

Nice weekend at Alexander homestead queen room named "the Alexandria". Perfect for us. We love antiques and we are definitely porch people. Enjoyed the room, the jacuzzi tub and friendly fellow visitors for breakfast. A really nice group of people including the proprietor, Rick. Made our stay relaxing and easy. Highly recommend if you like the b&b experience Rick Dillman

Beautiful house, beautiful rooms, and excellent service. Rick was very hospitable and offered my girlfriend and I more than we could ask for. I will absolutely be staying at the homestead whenever I am in St Augustine.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Entering the Alexander Homestead through the picturesque front porch from the garden walkway you can hear strains of classical music and spy a small book of Emily Dickinson's poetry in the formal living room - rich with antiques and romance. This is a perfectly appointed inn, with five of the most inviting and romantic bedrooms that hint of lavender sachets and pale hues of vintage opulence.
