My husband and I planned a romantic trip away from the kiddos. This is a quaint, slow town, which is what we were looking for. The inn has a local touch and is cute as pie. It is not on the beach, but it’s a short walk to all the local shops, bars, and restaurants. It rained much if the time we were there, but the rooms were cozy enough that we didn’t mind staying in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay here.

If there was ever a time where a "beach break" was needed, it is this year! The Port Inn, found in the heart of Port St. Joe, was quiet, clean, and comfortable! It is also staffed by the kindest and most thoughtful employees and included all of the necessary amenities that I required to make my workcation trip flawless. My friend and I stayed for a 4-day weekend where we were both working remotely for a portion of the week and seeking some last-minute fun in the sun before fall's arrival. The hotel's WIFI had no issue supporting my heavy digital role while also streaming video content and browsing social media on other devices. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and have the most tasteful and adorable beachy décor. The room's vibe couldn't have been better suited for a relaxing work environment and offered a comfortable vacation atmosphere. The Port Inn provided continental breakfast each morning and freshly brewed coffee 24/7. Both were delicious. The front desk area also is home to a small bodega where you can purchase everything from cold soft drinks and candy to locally made soaps and candles from the St. Joe Soap Company. We splurged and bought a few scented candles to bring home with us. Honestly, burning them this week and reminiscing over how much fun we had has been fantastic. Another huge benefit was the location. The hotel is perfectly located only a few blocks from the ocean and a few steps from restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, and pizzerias. If you play your cards right, the town's farmer's market might be available. There you will find friendly local vendors offering everything from jams and jellies to crocheted winter hats to beautiful wall art. This town will "wow" you with charm. This sleepy coast is the perfect escape if you need to stretch your legs while feeling safe during COVID-19's restrictions. The beaches are safeguarded, and very spacious. The weather couldn't have been better. There is so much beauty to take in, and The Port Inn will undoubtedly put you in the best area to get around and soak it all up! We couldn't have had a better time and definitely plan to come back!

The cottages are cute and we enjoyed being close to the dock. The floors in our cottage were dirty, filthy black dirty. We did not know that would we have to agree to a 50.00 cleaning fee at check in. We were charged 56.00 twice upon returning home. We called to find out why and they said they had proof of dog hair and dog food on the floor. They never called to ask us our side or anything. We did not have a dog at all. We were finally refunded the 56.00 pet cleaning fee. But it was not without me calling numerous times. I would have appreciated the “Director of Operations” calling us himself to apologize for the “mix-up”. That would be customer service. Thank goodness for Tina. She made it happen. With the Covid going on we tried to be very selective about where we stayed. We also feel like we were supporting a local business during these times. We paid almost 800.00 for two nights and still had to pay a cleaning fee and it wasn’t even clean! That’s a lot of money to spend to not get a call from the “Director”. We own our own business and I would have called the customer first to discuss the charges they were going to put on our card.

Sure, we live on the gulf coast, but, a getaway to the forgotten coast is the best getaway for a relaxing trip, away from the traffic and insanity of tourist season. Big kudos to our favorite housekeeper, Debbie. She is remarkable and a very kind, She goes above and beyond to accommodate guests. This was our 7th trip to visit, and the rooms are immaculately clean! Everything ...was perfect. Again, an amazing visit. We will be back very soon. Love the Owners!!
