We stayed two nights here. The road was terrible, there are NO outside lights, the door did not even close properly. The beds were not made there were cobwebs, dust and mold everywhere. The brush outside was so thick you could not walk out back. This may have been a nice place back in the 70's...but not anymore.

This was our first trip to the Port St. Joe/ Cape San Blas area and we really enjoyed our stay. My wife and I along with our 2 boxers Maddie and Emma stayed at the Guest house cabin for 4 nights. We found the accommodations as sufficient for our needs. We are not real big on luxury accommodations as long...

We usually camp at St Joe's Peninsula State Park but decided to try something different this spring. We chose the Captain's Quarters at Old Salt Works Cabins! What a great choice. There were 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a full kitchen, living room and dining room. It was cold when we visited but the central heat worked just great! I think...

This is a hard review to write, but it was the dirtiest, most unkempt place we have ever stayed in. We don't mind staying in older places, but this place is falling in on itself. Started with no signage to even find our cabin. The porch boards are rotting and very close to caving in. The cabin itself was so...

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Old Salt Works. We stayed 4 nights in Lee. The cabin is rustic and charming with all the ammenities. There is an outdoor shower with hot water that we used every day. You canto gaze over thethis bay while youyou bathe. Be sure to bring bug spray if you want to...

Let me say first and foremost I had contacted the owner's directly regarding a negative review. Not only did Rachel reply back promptly she was very open and communicative in regard to my questioning. It's difficult to trust what someone says - owner or traveler with having never seen the property. There is a always going to be some leap...

The place was beautiful. It was peaceful, quiet and we stayed in the Lookout Cabin. Nice nature trials and the views were amazing. loved the piers that led out to the bay. Will definitely be back.

First off let me say that Cape San Blas has very limited lodging. If you want to rough it and are ok with true rustic cabins, then any of the cabins in Old Saltworks is fine. We are not into the whole roughing thing when it comes to the beach and have found the only descent houses Old Salt Work’s...

My late father loved this part of Florida, The Forgotten Coast. From Mexico Beach (his fav) to Apalachicola & St George Island. He mentioned Old Saltworks often. We have stayed here several times with our dogchild (always with us when we travel). The Reed cabin once but The Bay House is our favorite. Right on the Bay with great views...

I read the reviews before we booked our cabin at Old Saltworks, and I really wasn't sure what to think. I am a clean freak and a bedbug-phobe, so the negative reviews really worried me. On the other hand I have done a lot of camping a don't expect a stay in the woods to be free of bugs and...
