We found roaches in our room. The elevator didn’t work well. Hotel has a musty smell to it. The whole thing is way overdue for a remodel. I wish I would’ve stayed somewhere else. Definitely not worth the price. We will not stay at this hotel again.
Room on 2nd floor sucked and stunk so bad it made my stomach sick. I pulled back the sheets and there was something that looked like blood. I asked for the GM and they said she was unavailable. After I checked out I called and ask to speak with the gm i was directed to her ext and hung up on and disconnected. This is very dissatisfying
In all fairness, this hotel was in a great location. It is close to the interstate, near restaurants, and near your every day stores like Walmart and Publix. The staff were also superb. Everyone was extremely nice. The problem is they have roaches, and I’m not talking about waterbug cockroaches that may come from wood surroundings. I’m talking about small, nasty roaches that come from uncleanliness. While the room looked clean, I believe there is an infestation because the more we killed, the more came. I contacted a housekeeper, and she alerted the maintenance guy who came to spray, but it did not help. The roaches crawled on my son’s PS5, the wall, laundry detergent container, shower, etc. My son was scheduled to stay there for at least 30 days, and I had paid $2200 upfront. I knew we had to leave when I woke up to one crawling across his bed. The front desk offered to move us, but we were too creeped out. I saw a lot of great reviews for this hotel which is why I selected it. I am very disappointed in the fact that we got him moved in only to move right back out. Others obviously have had a better stay than me. I’m only going based on my experience. We stayed in room 306, and I can not in good conscience recommend this hotel until they address this problem. Once again, staff were great, but I believe they need to close for a few days to exterminate. Otherwise, stay at your own risk.…
My girl friend and I stayed at this location on Sunday, March 7. In booking the room Shannon at the front desk was most helpful and personable. The room was clean with many amenities. However when we came down stairs the next morning the breakfast was much below pare. There was no coffee available, no toast or bagels, and the only fruit was several apples and 2 bananas that were several days old. The staff has to brew coffee since they could not get the machine to work. There were only 6 or 7 small boxes of cereal which were gone within 10 minutes of our arrival to the area. I realize restrictions are in place as a result of Covid, but this breakfast selection was small at best. The staff kept telling folks that complained that the "truck comes tomorrow" whatever that means. Management had to know that food selection would be low, so they could have planned adequately. We were disappointed since I have stayed at this chain previously and have always been pleased with the experience.…
My friend and I enjoyed a very pleasant stay at this value priced hotel. Very clean and friendly staff. Comfortable beds with 4 pillows each. Lite self-serve breakfast (due to Covid-19) but OK. Had our fishing trip cancelled due to weather, so only stayed one night.
We picked this hotel because it was a great location for a funeral my friends and I were attending! We had roaches in the room so we requested to move. The next room also had roaches and was smoking when I originally requested no smoking. Management could careless and the lady working the front desk had no personality. Do yourselves a favor and DONT go there ever! There are plenty of other hotels right around there with way better reviews!
This hotel has roaches. Yes it’s Florida and bugs happen but in one day we saw 1 in the bedroom on headboard and killed two in the bathroom. Management knows about this issue we I formed them. They did say they will clean and spray but let’s be honest if we saw 3 in one day that means the hotel has a major issue. Beds are ok, pool is not heated but nice. Hotel is close to everything in punta gorda/ port Charlotte
Room 211 is completely infested with bed bugs. I truly expected more from a choice hotel. Unbelievable how house keeping did not see hundreds of bugs crawling around. The video is posted on their Facebook page in my review.
Stayed here several times over the years. Clean and comfortable rooms. However mask wearing was NOT enforced and my fellow travelers didn't respect social distancing or wear masks! One faded sign at the entrance, no other signage reminding folks to wear masks and social distance. Had to remind a staff member to wear a mask. Elevator buttons were filthy the whole time. Thanks to selfish travelers this is a petri dish for the virus. Enjoy getting the Vid, folks!!
The room was lovely, nothing fancy but very clean & comfortable. Check in & out was easy & fast. Free breakfast was typical but everything was fresh & they kept replenishing it. Sausage biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, bagels, cereal, waffles, fruit, yogurt etc. Very pleased. In the parking lot there is a Cracker Barrel & many restaurants close by. No complaints about this place.
