We understand that the beach reconstruction is not a project being done by the hotel. However, the hotel could have notified us, prior to our arrival, of the work and let us make the decision if we wanted to vacation in a work zone. When we checked in on Saturday December 21, 2013 we were not informed that beach reconstruction...

So very sorry and disappointed to see that ML1702’s stay with us at the Beachcomber was impacted by the Beach Renourishment project and that we fell embarrassingly short on the items noted in this comprehensive review. Believe we’ve covered the reasons for the federally funded Beach Renourishment project that is being run by Army Corps of Engineers and why we...

We have stayed twice and enjoyed the experience on both occasions. Very good place to stay and very good services. Nice beach. Nice hotel. Friendly staff. We recommend this hotel. We will certainly return in the future.

We were at the resort for 3 nights and had great service. The place was well run, and the on-site food and offerings were both adequate and reasonably priced. The negative side: it surprises me that in a humid climate that there is no ventilation in the bathroom. As a result, there was visible mold growing in the tile grout....

We have known of the Beachcomber for years, eaten at the restaurant as we lived around the corner years ago. We had not had the occasion to stay until last week. I have traveled extensively for business including Gaylord properties but had never been treated as nicely as we were treated at the front desk. The front desk receptionist Julene...

Beachcomber has pluses (exceptionally nice staff) and minuses (maintenance issues galore) but currently the biggest problem is that Pompano Beach is using Beachcomber as ground zero for the huge trucks and heavy equipment attempting to restore the sand on the beach. Poor timing by the city and very poor choice of location as this is the narrowest part of the...

Let us make it perfectly clear that the Beachcomber is not operating or managing the work described in this review. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is in fact operating a Beach Renourishment project on the Beach here at the Beachcomber. The project is Federally funded under a grant issued as a result of Hurricane Sandy which wreaked havoc along...

The facilities here are nice -- pools, tiki bar, restaurant, inside bar, etc. But, these folks need to fire their maintenance and cleaning staffs and hire some aggressive management. Our room was on of the European Rooms. In comparison to the description, it was quite large, long but narrow but includes a huge walk through closet and bath. The furniture...

The view and sound of the ocean from an oceanfront balcony room would have been wonderful had there not been construction on the beach right between our room & the ocean. As it is, the night our room rate doubled, from just before daylight the day after Christmas until dusk and again the same time the next morning, dump trucks...

Please see our response to the review entitled BEACH CONSTRUCTION RUINS VACATION. We also wish to apologize to Ms. Kirk who was very frustrated with us along the same lines. However, we do need to respectfully beg to differ on a few of her comments. I did tell Ms. Kirk that we would not be offering any financial compensation because...

I was very pleased with the resort and staff! Very clean as well as they maintain the lawn, pools and beach to provide a pleasurable experience. I was impressed with Brian Peterson with Guest services as he was most helpful. The restaurant food was very good and my visit to the Tiki bar was memorable. I look forward to my...

I'm writing this before we check out, but been here for 3 days. We're in the middle building, 2 story, near the rear which is closer to the beach. Decent view, room is clean but could benefit from some updates. The grounds are very nice and the beach has nice white sand but it's undergoing reconstruction so large trucks are...
