Welcome to the Pensacola Grand Hotel, Pensacola s premier upscale hotel! Our hotel is located on the site of the Historic L&N Railroad Passenger Depot, which was built in 1912. The depot has been restored and now houses our lobby, CAVU lounge, 1912 Restaurant, an in-house gift shop, numerous rooms and our Grand Ballroom; creating charming ambiance. Our fifteen story, glass, guest room tower attached to the train depot offers breathtaking views of Pensacola Bay and Historic Downtown Pensacola. We are pleased to offer a Sleep Advantage package in every room featuring comfortable new beds, guaranteed wake-up calls, and sleep amenities. The Pensacola Grand Hotel is just off of I-110, Gregory St. in the prestigious downtown district, just 10 minutes away from Pensacola Regional Airport (PNS) and conveniently located next door to the Pensacola Civic Center. Our hotel has received countless service awards; therefore, we know that you will be thrilled with the service you will receive. The whole place vibrates and quivers to the sound of the warning blasts as the train trundles through. The Grand was a might good place back in the day and still has that distinctive charm. Unfortunately with charm comes that general lack of modernization needed in this day and age. The rooms have outdated electronics, TV barely functional thermostats and a characteristic lack of understanding of the modern customers needs. Unlike most hotels in FL the parking is spacious and free but be sure to arm oneself with an umbrella. It’s panhandle so the staff are welcoming. This would be a central location for downtown entertainment but obviously a long way from the beaches. The GCB (brew pub) is nearby as are some great breakfast and brunch places. Shuttle to airport.
When you walk in through the old train station lobby it looks like this could be a really interesting hotel. Getting past the old tiled floor into the hotel lobby, you see the hodgepodge of different construction styles that make up this hotel. Quality is generally low with no attention to detail. In the room the tow lights on either side of the bed used different color bulbs. Same thing in the bathroom with mismatched bulbs! All that brings this to a 2-3 star hotel. However, the location next to a heavy rail line with trains blowing a loud whistle while passing by multiple times in the middle of the night knock this down to a 1 star. Do yourself a favor and dont stay here.
My fiance and his family were visiting Pensacola for my birthday and we stayed here for 2 nights. I absolutely love this hotel! It is stunning inside and out, very clean, and the staff was wonderful! I face timed my mom at home to show her how beautiful it was (she loves historic hotels) and she loved it as well! I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will definitely be staying here again in the future!
This is a great hotel for all Military Reunions. Our Navy Squadron Reunion was this last October. We all had a great time. The banquet room was very nice all the meals were served on time. They have a friendly staff. Sales person was Jan and she did a great job for us.
The hotel has recently changed ownership. It's located in the classically old Pensacola Train Station, and offers a full-service bar themed with Blue Angle memorabilia, along with some food. It's a quiet place, in a neighborhood where you really can't walk to anything. Rooms are small; ask for a corner room for a larger, more comfortable stay!
