This was the 3rd time my family had stayed at this hotel as we take annual vacations to Panama City Beach. We used to really like this hotel, but it has gone down hill and just isn't worth the money anymore. The issues started at check-in where the employee charged me again for our entire stay even though I had already paid online and she had to issue a refund that took 4 days. We were also put in a room that we didn't reserve at first but then switched to the room we wanted after going all the way up to the first room and about to unpack. This happened to other's in our group as well. Housekeeping does not clean the rooms anymore during your stay and there were barely any towels or extra toilet paper in the room, we had to request some. No complimentary toiletries or even hand soap but luckily we brought our own. The room was outdated and some of the burners on the stove didn't work. The TV's were fuzzy and outdated. The oven was rusted and there were rust stains on the floor because of it and there was no baking sheets we had to borrow one from another person in our group from another room. The water pressure in the shower was so low it took a while to take showers. One of the elevators stopped working for a day or two forcing everyone to use just one elevator. The hotel isn't the cleanest. They claimed to be very strict about the no smoking rule but yet, anytime we went on our balcony, all you could smell was cigarette smoke and marijuana smoke. Something was said to staff but yet nothing was done about it. Lack of parking had always been an issue here as there is no parking garage, just a lot at the hotel and overflow across the street. The construction in front of the hotel reduced the parking spots even more. A maintenance guy walked into our room while we were laying in bed early in the morning without even knocking first and stared at us for a second and then closed the door. Breakfast is limited, just bagels, muffins, cereal, and oatmeal. The coffee was so nasty I poured it out and went to McDonalds across the street the rest of the stay for our coffee. The only thing good about this hotel is the location as it is right on the beach and that it's not as busy as other bigger hotels in the area. The tiki bar by the pool makes good drinks but are pretty pricy. One of the wash stations to rinse sand after the beach was broke the entire time. The guest laundry was out of service for our entire stay. My key card for our room barely worked and I literally had to insert it at least 10 times every time I needed to get back in the room. For some reason, they no longer had any umbrellas at the chairs and tables by the pool so you either had to rent one from the beach attendant or buy your own or just sit in the sun. We witnessed from our balcony a family changing a baby right next to the pool and they obviously didn't have any wipes as they washed the baby off in the shower used to rinse sand after the beach and then dipped the baby in the pool without any diaper on. Something was said to staff, but nothing was done about it. Our family will be finding somewhere else to stay in PBC as this place just wasn't worth the money.

Stayed there for 3 nights, the room is a little outdated bed was hard and pillows did not give any support but very clean, loved that the beach access was right behind the hotel. Elevators did a take a little time to arrive (stayed on the fifth floor) but used the stairs most of the time. Love that it had a kitchenette and also a balcony access with beach views. Staff was friendly and didn’t have any issues while checking in. Housekeep is upon request.

Just left this place after 4 nights. If you can afford to pay more than this place charges, stay elsewhere! First of all, the exterior looks much nicer than the interior. The shower did not have a door or curtain. The bedroom door was missing. When we requested a different room the coffee maker did not work. The bottom of the stove was rusted out. The refrigerator smelled awful, was tilted back against the wall and unbalanced. You could see black stains in the ceiling that were painted over but still bled through. The sofa bed was like sleeping on nails. They are very short staffed and there is no daily housekeeping. The place was so outdated, felt very, very unsanitary and dirty. It's not the staffs fault that they don't have enough help. Corporate should be ASHAMED for charging what they do and especially for charging an extra RESORT fee on top if it! This place is NOT a resort! They did not even provide soap or shampoo. The parking situation is horrendous as well. You will likely have to park across the street. There is no ramp to the beach, only stairs which makes it very difficult if you take a stroller, wagon or cart. Would never stay here again, even if they charged less money. This place needs to be gutted and completely re-done.

The stay was terrible. Checking in 1 worker waited an hour. Elevator and rooms discussing. Asked for wash clothes, none clean because staff shortage. I will spend $400 else where before staying here n

I probably stayed here for spring break in the 80s and not much has changed since then It is an older building and needs some updating. Not a fancy high rise if thats what you're looking for. Our room was fairly clean and the view from the top floor was nice. If you dont want to leave the grounds, you dont have to. There's a small walk up bar food type joint which was decent if you're hungry. Pricey as heck for what you get but it is convenient. There is also a bar on site, hammocks, swings and plenty of places to kick back and enjoy the view. There's also an indoor pool but we didnt get in. Not a shabby place for an overnight stay.

This place needs renovation. Plenty of rust on their doors and appliances. If you enjoy cleaning bring your cleaning supplies because the rooms are very dirty and grimey. Kitchen and bathroom Floors are not cleaned properly and the carpet has filth on it. Asthma and allergy folks need to stay away. This place is poorly managed. You may as well sleep on dirt outside because that is what you get here. A dirty room.

Front desk workers are very rude. Upon arrival, the front desk lady acted as if we were bothering her. She never greeted us or smiled. During our stay we encountered 4 other front desk people. They were all rude. They acted like we annoyed them. We wouldn’t have had to even ask them for anything if we had toilet paper and bath towels. If you want to bathe during your stay, bring your own towels. We had to keep asking for them only to be told they were out. Mind you this hotel was not near full capacity. I am not picky but if I am a paying guest, I expect to be treated in a friendly manner. After all, I didn’t act in a rude manner. I smiled, said please and thank you, and told each of them to have a good day.

When you walk in the room you are hit with the musty mildew smell. Overall appearance looks dirty and dated. Door going to the living room appears to have been forced in at some point and has a gaping hole at the bottom that no one fixed. Paint is literally peeling off the ceiling, seems like black mold has been painted over but you can see it around the edges. Daily housekeeping is not offered, this is the new norm for budget hotels and they will claim its because of Covid and not due to staffing. I spent a few min looking for the soap and shampoo only to discover a dirty industrial dispenser on the wall in the shower that says 3 in 1. Must be solvent/cleaner/lube because that’s what it smelled like. Also the hotel charges an “energy fee” and a “resort fee”. This is not a resort by any stretch of the definition. It was 50* outside and the pool is not heated. I mentioned this to the staff and they said someone got in the pool only yesterday.

Do not stay here! We arrived after midnight, and when we got to the room within five minutes we killed five roaches. I went back to front desk, and told the lady what happened. She was very kind and accommodating. She got us transferred to Sugar Sands, and it was so much better.

My room was not clean and there were actually bugs on the bed and in the bathroom. We had no bath towels and had to call the front desk to get some. The front desk staff was as helpful as possible but it was not a good stay. The door to the balcony was almost impossible to open because the doorknob was broken. The kids could not open it at all. The bathtub did not have a stopper to hold the water for the ones that wanted to take an actual bath instead of a shower. We had to stuff a rag in there. The rooms are badly outdated. They are remodeling the lobby but I’m not sure if they’re planning to renovate the rooms or not. The pool area seemed clean enough but the front desk informed us they were out of pool towels…There were very few people using the pool over the entire weekend so I’m not sure what gives here. I would not recommend this place at this time.
