We had to leave Daytona Beach because of Hurricane Nicole and decided to drive up to Panama City Beach. We always like Mom & Pop places and found this little gem. They also own other properties across the street and you can use that pool. We enjoyed our stay, just steps from the beautiful beach. Staff was very friendly. Beds were comfortable.
Had an amazing time at Lollye On The Beach as always!!!! Special thanks to Lori, Charlotte & Wayne for making us feel so special!!!! We stayed in the 2 bedroom, two bath and it fit our needs perfectly. As always Lollye has amazing spectacular views! It's a great place to really relax, make great memories with family & friends. It's a great place to meet new friends. Everyone is so friendly. It's my home away from home....and a place where my heart resides 💓 We love you our Lollye peeps, Kelly & Travis Crawford
Hidden Gem and we loved it. It’s nothing fancy, but that’s OK you don’t need that when you’re visiting the area to explore and spend time with family. It was very clean and the walk across the street to the beach was maybe 30 steps. We had the pink flamingo room and liked it enough that we inquired about pre-booking for next year. Our full kitchen was super convenient and had everything we needed. It is a large bed with a futon, but if I had more than one child with us, I would probably get a larger room. I booked very last minute and this is all they had left and it was a bit small - but that’s on me for waiting too long to book. We did inquire about one and two bedroom units for our next visit. Even last minute when we extended our stay for one night due to bad weather, they were super accommodating and the price was so reasonable. We actually arrived late to Florida and their office was closed, I called the number on the door and a lovely gentleman walked across the street and gave us a key. Just an overall very good experience. Heads up, the pool is not heated and it is cold if the weather is not decent. If you have young kids it is super close to mini golf, arcade, go karts and shopping. And I mean literally a 30 second walk to the end of the street…
This is the worse place I have stayed in many years. The staff is friendly. The room is nasty. I cannot figure out how this ranks so well in reviews. It took me 30 minutes to figure out whether I was going to accept the room or not. I was by myself, so I figured I would accept the experience. I slept, the bathroom worked. That's about it. Floors were disgusting! Bugs! Find another place!
Shortest walk to beach, quiet relaxed atmosphere, very good price . This is a mom and pop motel with several different buildings not all on the beach . If u want a quiet clean stay this is the place. Only thing I didn’t like was the parking . There is overflow parking in different areas very near our room but I like to be able to see my vehicle. This is not a fancy place so if u want that better go somewhere else. First time I have been to Florida and felt relaxed and refreshed when I got home . Wish we could have stayed longer.
From the outside this place isn't the prettiest to look at but inside our room we were amazed at how nice it was! Great walking distance to the beach and the staff were super friendly and accommodating.
I came for a month and got a 3 room - living, kit , and separate bedroom. I love it that it was all tile throughout. It makes me feel cleaner and safer. There are a lot of rooms in PCB that still have carpet and I feel that carpet is Yuk. Anyway, even tho our unit is across the street from beach, the street is Surf Drive - not at all busy. And most of their units are on the beachside, but I think most of them are smaller. Easy to cross street and you are on the beach. I also love an older motel like this where they don't have all the crazy fees. And I love that my car is in my sight all the time. I am always getting in my car for something and taking short trips to the store and the car is right in front of my window. If you stay in a big fancy hotel you have to walk down a long hall then wait for an elevator then walk across a huge hot parking lot to find your car or walk thru a creepy dark car garage, and try to remember where you parked. All that fuss is not for me. This is so much less stressful I love it! Also this area is great. We are within one block of a big surf shop(Moby Dick) and a couple of restaurants and bars, a mini golf ,and a cart and scooter rental. We are close to the Walmart and Dollar Tree. Can't complain!!…
We stayed at Lollye over the New Year holiday. This is a smaller property that has two buildings with two stories, and the buildings are perpendicular to the beach so that only the rooms on one end of the building directly overlook the beach. We arrived on the 30th, and they weren't very full, so they upgraded us to a room on the second floor at the end of the building overlooking the beach. We enjoyed being able to look out the window and watch the waves. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and recommended local places to eat when we wanted pizza. We liked the fact that the room had a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator. This was what sold the place for us because we need to cook some of our son's food even if we are going to a restaurant. The buildings are older, but they have renovated them nicely with fresh paint everywhere and nice decorations. The curtains on the windows are about an inch too small so that they don't completely cover the window, but that was not a big problem. The room was comfortable and had plenty of space. It feels like a home away from home. The downside is that, like at home, you have to take out your own trash, pick up your own towels, and take them to the office to exchange them for new ones each day. They don't do daily housekeeping. This does seem to defeat the purpose of staying in a motel, though. On a camping trip, I expect to take out my own trash, but part of what makes staying in a motel/hotel nice is that someone else does the cleaning for you. We enjoyed staying at Lollye very much. If the price is right, we will be back, but if they charge what other hotels on the beach charge, we will go somewhere with housekeeping.…
I booked a room at "Lollye" during 4th of July week. When we got there we were not in a cute, blue, 2 story building with updated decks and full tubs and showers that the photos all show on reviews. We were led to a crappy little yellow building next door that was run down and infested with palmetto bugs. DO NOT BOOK ROOMS 1,2,3,4 or 5!!!! I was told that they owned that property too so it is still the same hotel and I was "upgraded" from room 2 to room 1. Also, they offered to refund my money and siad I didn't have to stay there. PCB was 100% booked that week ..I called everywhere to try to get out of that disgusting room. Do not get tricked like I did! After all of the good reviews and 4 phone calls to the office to be sure I was on the beach in the blue building before booking I still stayed in a nasty little room with a 3x3 shower i couldn't even wash my kids in. I will add photos.…
