I accidentally booked my stay here thinking it was the Hampton on the beach but some things are definitely a blessing in disguise. This hotel has the most amazing staff- something very hard to find nowadays. Francine at the front desk was especially kind towards myself and my handicapped mother. She went above and beyond to source shower chairs, as well as extra towels and blankets for us throughout her stay. We also met one of the housekeepers Renee one morning who was kind enough to assist us with extra supplies as well- walking away from a room she was currently cleaning to grab things for us. I am only sad I wasn’t able to catch them on my way out, but I’ll definitely be back for my next vacation. It was an especially refreshing stay.
I’ve stayed at lots of Hampton Inn but the staff at this hotel was the best, very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the locations was great. We would definitely stay here at this hotel again!
I love how super convenient the location of this property is- close to the beach, yet away from the craziness and super close to the Pier Park shopping area. Breakfast is especially enjoyable on the weekends. The breakfast lady Julane is so energetic and fun- she kept us entertained with dancing, jokes and JAMAICAN MUSIC. She was especially kind to kids. 10/10! The front desk staff is super friendly and patient. My husband and I met Francine who literally went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied, not only at the desk, but throughout our stay. She had the sweetest spirit and was especially patient and kind. Cudos to management on such a wonderful team. We will definitely be back later this summer!
I've been a Spire/Diamond Elite with IHG for several years now and I typically always focused my stays at their properties. Over the past couple of years of being constantly disappointed with my IHG experiences, I started focusing more on staying at Hilton properties, which has been providing me with better experiences. That being said, this Hampton Inn provided us with a nice experience from the moment that we checked in to the moment that we checked out. The location was great and they had plenty of parking. Our King Studio Suite had a very nice and functionable layout, the furnishings were clean and comfortable and we had a nice view towards the Gulf. We will definitely stay here again!
The management is rude. My request for additional towels was not honored (asked to swap dirty fir clean towels) and my room was dirty, including the toilet. The elevators & common areas were dirty as well.
From the moment we entered the hotel to when we left, Tanya, the receptionist, and indeed the whole team, made us feel incredibly welcome. Never over the years have we spent so much time with the staff. Happy with our room. By far the best Hampton breakfast we’ve had on this holiday.
Kudos to the GM Carrie White that runs this hotel. Staff was great and our room was clean and fresh. Everyone greeted us with a smile. Great nice complimentary breakfast in the morning as well. This hotel is not on the beach but pier park is less than 2 miles away. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
We have been staying with this property since it opened. Still our favorite place to stay in PCB. Hotel is about 6 blocks from the beach and 2 miles from Pier Park. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Room is clean and bed comfortable. There are plenty of nearby dining and shopping options
We came to Panama City for a 7v7 football tournament. The lady at the desk placed us in a room next door to some of the kids. We asked to be moved because they were loud. She then places us in a room directly under the same kids. When we noticed, we asked to be moved. She says she can’t move us again due to her having to Mark the rooms dirty. I don’t care! We had to suffer in the room I didn’t like her or her attitude. She was also in the back majority of the time, so when coming down, I had to stand and wait for her to come out. She needs lessons on service. The air in the room did not work.
We came as a family for a winter vacation. Upon arrival there were quite a few people in line with only one person working. After nearly 15 minutes another person came out from the back looking over the other persons shoulder then went to the back. We all began asking if he could come out and help. The gal got upset and went to the back. Then 2 people came out from the back with less than happy to help attitudes. This attitude was consistent with most staff throughout the stay. We witnessed a couple different families told they got a discounted rate and were not being given an upgrade offered by an email and someone saying they were a diamond member they weren’t getting an upgrade either because they had a discounted rate. So at that point when it was our turn all the employees were in even a worse mood so there was no extra cordials for us. We got our room key and went to our room. The room was spacious, but stains on the carpet and a musty odor. There are only 3 drawers for clothes so we didn’t have enough room for clothes for the 4 of us to unpack. There was a drawer under a mini counter but it was dirty so we chose to not use it (had what looked like food crumbs in it). There is a microwave and fridge in the room and a nice size tv along with a chair for the desk. There’s no couch to sit on. If you ask for housekeeping they will only swap towels due to Covid. They did not touch the garbage or anything that had a clothing item or key, container or bottle on it. For a Hilton property, this fell far below our expectations. There are plenty of other Hilton properties to choose from in the area. We actually checked out and ended up staying on the beach 3 more days at the Hampton Inn and Suites Beachfront and enjoyed it much more. Spend the money at a different Hilton property and enjoy your stay. It will make your vacation much more enjoyable.…
