Stayed for a week here as a family of 3. The hotel is spacious and clean throughout. Check-in was great. Generally, facilities on site are really good. The transfers are really good, and we never had to wait. Fitness centre is good size and good equipment. The pool was large enough and plenty of sunbeds. There are only 2 issues. On-site restaurant in the morning are manned really well. However, in the evenings when still busy, it's hardly manned and takes ages to pay. Tables are not cleaned. Eat elsewhere. The other issue is that all the rooms have hard floors. This means that everything echoes. It got so bad my wife had to complain to security twice in the early hours of the morning.

Hotel's Favourite
Surely this was in the top three cleanest hotels I've ever stayed at in my life. We stay at "fancy" hotels in Orlando 2-3 times a year as we visit theme parks regularly and this was our first stay at Endless Summer. We basically picked the hotel because it's name sounded cool, but we were pleasantly surprised by how our hotel pick turned out to be a better place than the last two we stayed at in that area. I don't want to name the last two hotel/resorts we stayed at but look online and pick a couple hotels in proximity to Universal Studios, make your hotel search criteria based on what sounds or looks cool and we very likely stayed at whatever results your come up with. Endless Summer was BY FAR the best one we have gone to in the last two years. The staff at endless Summer was extremely friendly and accommodating. We had zero problems from begining to end but I saw that other people who did have problems got the attention they needed to resolve their issue. When I booked this hotel it was through Universal studios website there's like a package deal area on the website where you pick a hotel and pick your Universal tickets and pick all the stuff you need then they bundle that all together okay? So when I was online doing that I'm just saying oh this hotel has a cool name all the pictures of this room look really great I want that room etc etc so I may have very well picked a suite ok? I don't really know if I did what I do know is we checked in the hotel at 10:00 a.m. which is too early obviously to be checking into a hotel but we wanted to park our SUV in the parking garage and take the bus to the theme parks so we did that we're at theme parks the entire day around 5:30 p.m. We got back to the hotel no one had texted me a room number yet or anything so naturally I'm going to stop at the customer service desk and get a room right? In this particular instance the customer service line was extensive to say the least however we were not in any way upset about having to stand in line that's just part of it however a manager came over and said hey what can I do for you? His name was Javi. We told him we were just trying to get checked in or whatever and when he pulled up are information and saw that we checked in at 10:00 a.m. I feel like to him he thought we were upset or something and had expected to get a hotel room number much earlier? I'm not sure and again when I'm online picking a hotel my parameters are what sounds cool what looks cool so I don't know if I accidentally picked a suite, but whatever happened..Javi ended up putting us in a suite. So that was a little bit weird cuz it was only me and my wife this time and we ended up in a room with a full dining room a living room area a bedroom and then another area that had two more beds in it. So did I pick that? Or did he upgrade that since I believe his perception was that we've been waiting for a room all day. Which wasn't true we were at the park all day not even thinking about the hotel till we left the park. So anyway, That room we stayed in was super duper double clean and the view of their pool was beautiful and every night that I was there I stayed up extremely late looking at the pool and I saw that the lifeguards practice CPR every single morning before the break of dawn. There was a guy out with a pressure washer or something washing the pool deck every single night. At one point I went to my car at like 2:00 in the morning there were people cleaning the hallways and stuff at that point. I saw rooms being repainted that looked like brand new rooms to me. Every single time I walked in common areas of that hotel I saw someone cleaning. It was the cleanest hotel I've been in in the top three cleanest hotels I've ever been in my life that's there's no doubt about it. Friendly staff extreme cleanliness and everything in the hotel looked brand new. There was nothing I saw that I was like oh they built that in 1990 and I never going to touch it again every single thing look like brand new stuff it was a great hotel experience and I'd like to say we're definitely going back so, let me put it like this We are definitely going to stay at in the summer resort again in the future. The next time we stay in Orlando there's a couple of hotels that have a boat which will shuttle you to and from the park so I got to tell you I'm picking a hotel with the boat shuttle thing next time but it has nothing to do with a hotel being better than this place, I just pick hotels on very immature parameters of what I think will be cool okay? That being said... Probably in the summer will be the next hotel I stay at when I go to Orlando we're going there I think in May but we're taking the kids so in that instance I feel like when I'm taking the kids I want him to be in the cleanest best place and also the pool at endless summer I mean what is that thing like one acre of pool? It's huge. I think all the kids would love it and we'll be at the pool all the time when we're not at Universal studios or whatever theme park we go to. I will make a couple of extremely shallow stupid negative remarks okay? 1. I wish the architecture of the actual building for more interesting okay It's just a u-shaped hotel it doesn't really have anything that I can specifically say the hotel itself had this cool thing like we stayed at a hotel right down the street that had a bar on the roof That was pretty neat I mean The roof bar was really cool but it was so windy up there it was not for me and we stayed at a different hotel down the street that the it looks really impressive from the outside where in the summers like just a squared off u-shaped building so is that even a complaint? Is that even a negative thing? I'm just saying stupid stuff right? Nobody else would care about that except me That's it. I wish they had a breakfast area so I didn't have to leave the hotel to go get breakfast but I guess I don't there's some kind of market or something. Anyway, why did I give it four stars if I'm so head over heels over this hotel? The elevator situation is the elevators are only at 1 end of the hotel so it's a u-shaped hotel in our room was on the exact opposite end of where the elevators were so without exaggerating the time frame, for us to get from our vehicle to where our car was parked in the parking garage....... 15 minute walk. I didn't like that. It's so stupid for me to give them four stars because of that. Because also you don't even want to be close to the elevators when you get a room so I'll tell you what I'm going to change the review star point to five star and just the people that have read all the way down here through my ramblings about this hotel will know that I didn't like walking all the way to my car that far. So in conclusion, endless summer dockside is overall a terrific hotel I have nothing to complain about the staff or great The hotel was clean and updated and new and cool and I really enjoyed my time there. I would highly recommend endless summer dock side to anyone looking for a really great place to stay. I have no idea how much the hotel cost that was just a click of a mouse so I can't help you there but I will say I bet it was worth however much we paid cuz if that place would have not been worth it I would have probably looked to see how much I paid for it. Which I didn't and I'm not going to I like the place we'll definitely stay there again

We've stayed at this hotel several times, and always love being there. They have a fun and helpful staff, great (and clean!) rooms, huge TVs in the rooms (with some great movies and channels), and frequent shuttles to Universal's theme parks. The beds are comfy. Views overlooking the pool are really nice, as is the Orlando skyline from the other side of the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel is a little pricey, but convenient. There's a fitness room, and a games room, plus a wonderful shop near the lobby. Parking is convenient and secure. And a BIG plus is being able to get into Universal's theme parks earlier than non-hotel guests do. (Tip: If you're there for the Harry Potter attractions, rush to that part of Islands of Adventure as soon as you enter the park. The line for Hagrid's ride gets long in a hurry!) Note: Nearby, the Surfside Inn & Suites is okay, and part of Universal's Endless Summer resorts, but it's not nearly as nice as Dockside. I'd still recommend it over many other hotels on nearby I-Drive, but... Well, stay at Dockside if you can. It's our #1 favorite if you're going to Universal, and are on a budget.

We have just got home after a week at this resort. Great resort which we loved! We are regular guests at moderate or deluxe Disney resorts. This hotel has a budget price point but feels like a moderate resort. Check in was fast and efficient. Staff were always helpful and friendly. In the lobby there is a Starbucks. We loved this and grabbed one every morning. Staff here are all great to and the line moves fast. There is also a large universal studios store in the lobby. Lots of great bits here and Lucky Eye The rooms are large, clean and well equipped. Our room had 3 usb and 3 c cable charge points. It’s worth mentioning that some reviews said the hotel is noisy. We did not did this at all. The hotel has two large Freeform pools, one with zero entry. The cocktails are great around the pool. $15.5 for a refillable cocktail glass then $12.5 for refills. I also bought a resort mug for about $22 for 5 days. The refill locations are at the pools and Pier 8 (the quick service restaurant) Pier 8 has a great selection that changes 3 times a day. The only negative is this is mostly batch cooking so food is warm rather than hot. Kids loved the pasta station with is made to order. The bus to the Universal Parks and City walk as brilliant. We never waited, there was always a bus there. It’s great to be in the Universal bubble so you do not have to drive and can enjoy an adult beverage. If you bring a car there is plenty of parking at $17 a day. The only negative of our stay was the shower in our room was only warm. Didn’t get hot at any time. I did mention this and they said it could have been fixed.

My review is going to sound like I’m being overly critical, or even petty, but I assure you I’m neither of those things. I booked a week long trip in Irlando to take my 12/13 year old daughters on an unforgettable spring break trip before they get too old to want to gang out with dad anymore. I specifically booked this hotel because it was a Universal property, to allow early Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios theme park acces, as well as because it had a separate bedroom for me to sleep in since I’ve been told I sometimes snore (obviously a lie, lol). Upon checking in at the information/ticket desk at the hotel, I was informed we were only afforded a 30 minute early entry into Volcano Bay, when the temps were still in the upper 50’s and no early entry into the main theme parks. I was So not happy, as I would’ve booked elsewhere if I was made aware of this upfront. The good- The hotel is new, dry nicely designed, large, open and airy lobby/dining area with a Starbucks, bar, lots of dining seating and with a cafeteria style foodservice facility. The quality of the food was very good too. The pool area was huge, with lots of empty lounges too since 98% of people are at the parks. The pool was huge, with a sand beach entry and it even had underwater speakers. The rooms looked nice, they had a double sink, table that sat 4, kitchenette and USB ports at each side of the beds. I liked that they had 1 bedroom suites that had 3 beds too; big selling point for me, as I would have Gladly stayed in one of their nicer hotels, but they were all either single rooms or Super expensive to have a separate bedroom. They have bus service that takes you to and from the Universal resorts and that was great. The bad- The variety of food was never rotated out in the café. It was good, but always the same. Plastic cutlery was likely your only option too. They had actual silver where too, but it was always out except one day when we’d come through, so it really took away from the experience. The food prices were horrible for a resort, except for the fruit. I’d skip the fruit at the prices they charged. As noted in other reviews, it was hard to tell if the bedding or walls were thinnest. You would hear everything in the rooms left, right, above ir below you. Especially anything like an item being scraped on the walls ir floor; those sounds would transfer from door to floor, like you were 2 feet away. It was quite literally the worst sound transfer I’d ever heard in 50 years of staying in any motel. If it was “Tom Bodett, leaving the light on for you”, you’d hear him flicking the switch from the next room over. The sheets and blankets were so thin, again, budget motel vibes. The room bedroom had a very small closet, about 24” wide, a shelf above and no ther storage in the room. No drawers, no usable shelves over 4” deep, no nightstands, it was tight. I was the only one in my bedroom, so it worked, but if my wife was with me then a no go. No shelf in the water closet/shower room for towels. Make sure they bring one in ahead of time or your kids will be reaching their wet arm around the door after the shower, for you to pass a towel to them. The USB port I used in the bedroom wasn’t even strong enough to charge my iPhone and watch at the same time. I have a dock to charge both but was woken up around 1am to my watch starting and stopping the charging cycle every 10 seconds as the charger kept shutting down to insufficient power being supplied. I brought a USB plug in, so that wasn’t the issue, but relied on their the first night since it was there. Half awake at 1am, I pulled my watch off the charger, so it died halfway through the next day. The shower got decently warm at full “hot”, but never actually hot. I get it that they don’t want kids burning themselves, but they went overboard. The shower mixing valve was very stiff to rotate, so I informed housekeeping about it on my way out one day for them to get corrected (by maintenance). It never happened. They also use that valve every time they clean the room too, so they should’ve known and already internally addressed. Never happened. The power outlet/USB port was dead between the 2 double beds. This wasn’t noticed until the morning after our first night there, so my daughter woke up to dead devices when heading out for a full day at the park. The elevators are at the back of the hotel, opposite from the parking lot. If you drove need to use the parking lot, then you have to walk from the lot, to the complete opposite side of the hotel and then back track all the way back to your room. If may not sound like a big deal, but it gets old very fast if your room is near the parking lot. The key reader from the oarking lit, into the hotel, stopped working 2 days into the week. Although the pool and pool area is massive, there’s not much to it. Great if just the wife and I, but there is only so much kids can find to do in a 3’ deep pool that covers 3 acres and nothing else to it. A slide, varying depths, pool activities or something would e been nice. The pool service is nonexistent. A pool deck with 600 lounge chairs, yet no walk around food/drink service and only a single bartender. This was over Easter weekend and Spring Break too! No early park access, paper thin walls/sheets and a lackluster pool experience were enough to keep us from ever returning here again. On our helicopter trip around the Orlando area, all I could keep thinking was how nice it would have, to have booked at any of the other 100 beautiful resorts that we were flying over. Lesson learned.

I had the privilege of staying at Universal Orlando Resort Endless Summer Dockside Inn and Suites over Easter weekend (2024) with some family and friends. We stayed in the three bed suite with a kitchenette and pool view. There was five of us in a room which was fine since we were only in the suite during sleeping hours. However, there are some minor details that could have been better being that this is a Universal Resort hotel. This was my first time staying at Dockside so I was not sure what to expect. The ambience in the lobby was on par with the theme of the hotel (Endless Summer) as a born and raised Floridian this was a perfect setting, dining options were plenty and the pool area had enough room to where every party had the space they needed to enjoy their visit. In the halls of the rooms there was a foul odor along exits and the elevators, perhaps it was from the ice machines but it seemed to linger throughout our entire stay. In the suite itself, the design and room layout was that of a typical hotel room, two tv's, three beds, a kitchenette with a table and mini fridge, microwave and mini coffee maker. The beds were comfortable however, I feel the hotel could have done better with linens, the room gets cold and the "comforter" is more of a sheet which provides little to no warmth with two people to a bed. The pillows as well There was enough sink space for the bathroom area, sinks were separate from the toilet and shower which was convenient with five women in one space. When using the shower, the water didn't get hot. If anything it was lukewarm at best and the towels could have been more of quality like the premier hotels (Lowe's Royal Pacific and Portofino, and HardRock). When drying off I felt as though I was taking skin with each swipe, the material appeared to be "over used" which deterred my need to shower each day. *Benefits of staying here: you can shuttle to CityWalk and the parks with their Universal bus service (runs from 7am-2am), this was convenient since we went to the parks each day during our stay. I recommend sitting in the front because most of the windows are blocked with characters on the outside. In the lobby of the hotel there is a lot of seating and outlets to charge electronics or have meetings, there is also a full Starbucks as soon as you walk in, along with a full bar adjacent to it. The dining area has multiple options and there is a Universal Store/Quick Stop as well for toiletry needs, souvenirs, etc.

What a wonderful carefree stay we had at Dockside . No need for a car, busses ready every few mins to take you to volcano bay, Isle of adventure or universal . The food court was amazing and quite reasonable with large portions . Pool was a nice warm temp with lifeguards,. Had a wonderful time and felt like everything was at my fingertips

I think some of the negative reveiws are unfair. We are stll here The Good Location very near IDrive with shops and places to eat and drink. Excelent quick transport to City Walk and parks. Staff. .. Friendly and helful. They have been very accomodating particulary with dietry intolerances Rooms cleaned daily to a good standard. Bright and airy rooms with comfotable beds. Pool facilities and safety are very good. The not so good Limited clothes storage in a room for 6 people we struggled with 4. Drinks were expensive $6 for a small bottle of water. Overall alot more positives than negatives, happy and safe environment would return and recommend.
