Pool and waterslide water was not heated as specified. Laser tag was indefinitely closed for renovations. (Contacted management about this as ads were up in the elevator and they refused to compensate) Theater was privately rented out and unavailable for hotel guests for both nights of our stay We payed for breakfast, but it was a hassle to redeem and would have cost an additional $27 for our 3rd adult, so one person had to skip out. Super disappointing time, choose a different hotel ☹️
Had a great time here a lot to do at the resort water park was fun for the family also Lange and DJ Chris were great! made the my sons day very fun for my family I 100% recommend this place! Definitely attend the karaoke!
This entire hotel trip was a disaster. First the tv’s did not work when my wife arrived. She could not contact the lobby as the phone lines were inconsistent. We were charged $200 twice for incidentals. There were yellow stains on the mattresses. They’re constant hotel guests running up and down the outside hallway on Friday and my family could not sleep. Then on Saturday afternoon, we took the family to the pool. My wife took my daughter to the restroom and when she tried to get out, the deadbolt would not unlock. She tried and tried and could not get it to open. A father came by and heard my wife struggling and asked what had happened. She explained and he sought maintenance. Maintenance kept telling her to turn it and she said she was trying. The maintenance man became disrespectful and said that she wasn’t trying or it would have opened. At that time my wife asked the dad to find me and gave him a description. The dad found me and I quickly arrived only to find the maintenance man still questioninge my wife’s efforts in getting her out. He said he couldn’t help from the outside because he didn’t have a key and he couldn’t believe my wife could not open the door. At this time my wife and daughter are having a panic attack and frantically crying. It took another maintenance to come with a crowbar to get her out. When they opened the door, they realized my wife was right. Did we receive an apology? No. Maintenance took our room number down. Did we get a call from hotel management? No. I called the lobby(took 3 times because the hotel room phone was a joke). I spoke with a man and he said management would call. I had to leave back today due to work and had to leave my family at 3pm. Did management call? Nope. I talked to the front lobby before I left. They assured me that they would reach out to my wife. I just got on the WiFi ok my plane and it has been 4 hours since my departure and they have still not reached out to my wife. We will never stay there again.…
We went with another family to this resort, it was so much fun and extremely family friendly. Anthony and Gustavo at the Mexican restaurant were a blast! Lange and Chris made each night a blast with karaoke and smiles.
First where do I start from first the room was a long walk from the lobby then we get to the room and it’s was by some woods the staff was not friendly at all unless you on the run from the cops and want to lay low and a crappy motel then this is the place otherwise run fast
Skip to end for TL;DR. Plumbing issues. Parking went up to $24/day after arrival, with printed quote at $17. "Waterpark" is a shallow pool and 2 freezing slides. Ppl smoking next to no smoking signs, weed smoked on balconies, gaps under doors, smoke alarms missing batteries, mold in shower/tub and it backed up then smelled like sewer... i could go on forever. I prepaid the room. In October. Receptionist got defensive and said they dont offer prepayment. Tried to charge me again. Even after i produced an invoice showing paid in full. Had to show charge on credit card, her mind was blown. ...then came the fees. They also made it VERY difficult to get an itemized bill after checkout to hide the fees. No email, bill under door, sheet at checkout etc. Not available thru online account. ONLY by front desk. IHG guest services had trouble getting it too. The rate you pay will double or triple the advertised rate after required add ons. To be fair most are disclosed at reservation, but in my case some were increased and billed at checkout. Waterpark / parking / resort / various others. Food is theme park prices. Staff was helpful and accommodating. But enforce no posted rules. Wristbands at pool were a joke. Not checked. Ours were off day 2. Lifegaurds were consistent and did a good job. (Outsourced?) Movie screen is clear as the crt tv in my parents basement. Escape room: closed. Mini-golf:closed. Pool: packed with limited seating in the sun. Water slides: busy and cold. Meh. Restaurants expensive but better than fast food. Very nice staff, which takes this place up from a 1 star. The ppl interacting w guests, care for the most part. This hotel is a 2 star hotel that uses bait-n-switch tactics. Theres 'perfume on the pig' of a 30 year old building that is not up to a normal IHG standard. Steer clear and spend another $100/night at another spot. Thatll be more, for the same money. Cheers.…
I recently checked into the Holiday Inn Orlando Resort - Waterpark. When trying to access my room, one of the room keys did not work. After entering the room, I noticed the toilet constantly running. Then I had to kill a roach in one of the bedrooms. I received a welcome check email and responded about all three issues. I was told they would be resolved. Someone came up to the room a few minutes later and had two new room keys. Again - only one worked. He just left the one that worked and that issue was never resolved. The other two issues weren’t even addressed. Two days later I informed the hotel of all three issues again. When I arrived back at my room the toilet wasn’t running for a few minutes but again started running that same night. No other issues were addressed. In my opinion, the staff is lacking. They do not address issues. None of my issues were resolved. And on top of that, I wasn’t greeted or thanked upon check out. And I had to ask for a receipt.…
Reservation on the phone did not inform on extra charges ie. resort fee, parking fee Other guest voiced the same including that booking through a travel app. extra charges were not listed, only room prices are!!!!!! Information on distance and taxi cost was nowhere near accurate either.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE My dad bought me a hotel room for my friends and me to stay for our trip to Disney using his reward points. When I got to the hotel, they saw the reservation, but said my name was not attached to the reservation. I got on the phone with my dad who added my name via the IHG app (mind you he’s in Mexico out of the country). I got the called the number the front desk people gave me which was the hotel directly and they stated that they saw my name on the reservation now. So I went back to the front desk, which she seemed to walk away for 20 minutes out of sight. The manager comes out and I explain to her the situation, and she said that my dad had to be with me. I showed her screenshots and the forwarded email with my name on the reservation and she still stated I could not stay there because THEIR system didn’t see my name, when it was clearly on the app and in the email. The manager, who was super unhelpful, said I had to call IHG hotels. I called IHG and they too stated that my name was on the reservation and did not understand why I could not check in. During this phone call, the front desk lady I was talking to left for the day and then the manager went into a “meeting” and was no where to be found for an hour. Super unprofessional considering the manager is supposed to be the problem solver when it comes to customer service. So I had to deal with another front desk lady and explain the situation all over again. She said she was going to get the same manager and she disappeared for 20 minutes. FINALLY the manager came out and I explained to her that the IHG guy is saying that I am on the reservation. I gave the phone to the manager where the IHG guy said he doesn’t understand why I can’t check in. All in all I was there for 2 hours at the front desk and I ended up cancelling the reservation and paying for another hotel. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service and unprofessional.…
Justin at the front desk was so helpful and he had great customer service skills. This is our second time to this wonderful property and this time Justin stood out the most. Thanks Justin and all IHG Orlando waterpark staff. From the girl that couldn’t remember her room number. Cause she only had 2.5 hours of sleep plus had an 8 + hour drive.
