For Orlando this is probably considered a nice hotel. Having stayed at many nice hotels all over the world I can tell you I considered it an average hotel at best. What it does have going for it is it does look like a scene from Italy from afar, but instead of actually building out details in the architecture a...

We had a great time and Loews Hotels are outstanding. The theme park was excellent and my family thoroughly enjoyed the rides. We ate at Emerils and the food was delicious. Didn't get to do much at city walk but will go back. The only problem we had was with the ticketing and fingerprint scanner at the main gate.

We stayed here for three nights before moving to a Disney "deluxe" resort. Portofino was far and away nicer than Disney. Our club level room was huge. Two very comfortable beds, a big bathroom and a gigantic balcony with two chairs and table overlooking the villa pool. I loved sitting on the balcony enjoying a drink with the palm trees...

I'll start off by saying our trip isn't even going to happen until the beginning of April. However, I felt I had to write something about an amazing staff member at the Hotel. Her name is Zahra and works at the concierge. I contacted the hotel initially about my husbands birthday and she has been extremely informative regarding every question...

It was like being at Italy with a touch of America. Celebrated my birthday with a very special person along my side. Boat ride to the Universal parks was perfect. Getting the express passes to cut the lines were well worth it.

This is a quality hotel for the masses. I say 'for the masses' because it is a large property and they do pack it in. So there is nothing unique or personal about the rooms, the food, the hotel itself -- but all are above average. This is not a cozy / quiet experience -- but assuming you are here...

Let me begin by saying, the previous times I have visited Orlando, I have stayed on Disney property and visited Disney parks. This time, we booked at the Portofino Bay Resort at Universal and it was AWESOME! The resort was booked but there were not gobs and gobs (southern term for a LOT) of people everywhere!! The transportation over to...

This is definitely the BEST hotel to stay at in Universal! My husband and I went for our 25th anniversary. The bay view room was large and elegantly decorated and the view was outrageously beautiful. All three pools were great especially the beach pool where you were served food and drinks while you sunbathed. The property was maintained beautifully and...

We are a family of four with two children aged 11 and 13. The Portofino Bay was an excellent choice for us. This was our first visit to Universal Studios. The express pass was absolutely critical to allow us to ride all the attractions in 2 days. There is also a boat transport that is very convenient and leaves every...

This was our 4th time staying at the Portofino Hotel, we love it! The hotel provides a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere with great amenities. The boat ride the to park is convenient and serene. The pizza at Sal's is awesome (especially the prosciutto and caramelized onion pizza). One of the main reasons we stay at an on property hotel is the...
