I had previously booked the Yacht Club resort but at the last minute I change my resort to the Wilderness Lodge. I was so glad I did, as the Wilderness Lodge was nothing but gorgeous as soon as you enter into the lobby. I went during the Christmas season and the hotel was packed

This is my favorite resort! Love the decor, room was clean and great view of lake. Restaurants on property were very good. Kids loved the pool. The boat taxi to parks is so convenient. Can't wait to go back.

This resort is amazing and smells incredible. At Christmas time, you're transported. The convenience to Magic Kingdom and the other MK-area resorts is great. You feel almost like you've left Disney World, and went away to a mountain lodge to relax. We absolutely love it here.

Every time I step foot in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, I’ve suddenly traveled to a world in the Pacific Northwest full of natural beauty and exciting amenities. It’s so relaxing and gives you the feeling of tranquility, while still being a short boat ride away from Magic Kingdom Park. I’m thrilled you enjoyed your stay with us at this beautiful Resort. We hope to see you again real soon. Until then! Kaitlyn Disney Social Reviews

We stayed here for Thanksgiving holiday. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We had the dining plan and ate at the Fork restaurant several times. The first day (busiest time of the year) they were training someone. The line was super long every day. The fro

Thank you for choosing to visit us for your Thanksgiving vacation. Though I hope your time in the great outdoors was pleasant overall, I’m sorry to see that Disney’s Wilderness Lodge was not the right fit for your family. While this locale is incredibly convenient to those wishing for quick and easy transportation to Magic Kingdom Park, it isn’t for everyone, and that’s totally okay! We never want our Guests to feel anything less than at home, and it’s unfortunate to read that your family didn’t feel as though you were sleeping on a cloud. Furthermore, I’m sorry you ran into some trouble with our dining locations due to the busier time of year. We are always searching for ways to provide the highest level of Guest service, and your feedback will be useful as we work toward that goal. Thank you for dropping us a line. We can’t wait to welcome your family back for another adventure. Jenn Disney Social Reviews

Been back two weeks now after a fantastic stay at the WL. A lovely hotel in a great position on Bay Lake. What makes this hotel and the whole of Disney are the brilliant staff and the exceptional customer service. This ranges from the very helpful reception staff, the boat people

Thank you for taking a few moments to share some fond memories of your visit to Disney's Wilderness Lodge! I am so thrilled to read that, from our Cast Members to the location of the Resort, things were spot on… your Resort tip is spot on too! I love a morning walk over to Fort Wilderness, you never know what friendly critters you may encounter on your way to a down home breakfast at Trail's End. On behalf of all of our Cast Members, we hope to welcome you back for another magical holiday real soon. Janet Disney Social Reviews

Panorama from the balcony
This was the view from our room on the 4th floor of Wilderness Lodge
We are staying in 2 courtyard (2queen bed) rooms and the balcony view is important to us. Would you suggest floor 5 is a good option to try to request? I have been reading a review that states the air conditioning cannot be regulated from the room or switched off and at times is very icy. Did anyone else find this is the case. Feeling a bit apprehensive. Many thanks, any help suggestions appreciated.
We didn't have any issues regulating the temperature in our room during our stay in June/July. We were able to keep it right where we wanted it. 5th floor will offer a nice view, but it also depends on where you are. If you have a room on the west side of the hotel, you can see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom, which is a nice bonus on the nights you might come home early from the parks.

We are staying at WL next May and only using Disney transportation. How long does it take to travel to Epcot and Animal Kingdom if you plan to reach the parks early? Thanks.
There is a boat that goes to the Contemporary Hotel from the Wilderness Lodge dock, and from the Contemporary you can access the monorail or walk to the Magic Kingdom to get on the Epcot monorail. However, we found transportation took longer than we expected to every park, with the occasional exception to the Magic Kingdom itself. Allow yourself at least a half hour to 45 minutes to get anywhere, including Animal Kingdom.
