This is our second time at the resort, thanks to a family sponsor. This year we stayed on the newer side of the facility by the parking garage. The rooms are great, well decorated, and spacious. We had a pull out couch and two queen beds. The bathroom had a separate room for toilet and shower, and an very large...

We've stayed at many different resorts at Disney. This is actually a great change of pace from the over stimulation of Disney stuff. It was nice to come back at the end of the day and unwind. My only complaint is the walls are very thin and we heard every crying child on our floor lol. And the tubs are...

There is not a better place to stay in Disney proper, if you are eligible. The rooms are extra large and you will not find a more competitive price anywhere. The property is beautiful, the staff is exceptional and the convenience of being so close to the parks is the best. We like to walk down to the Polynesian and...

Everything was perfect. The nice walk to the tram for seeing all of the Disney sites was excellent and very easy- no driving/parking requirement. my hat is off to the "Larry" who a seasoned concierge at the front desk. Coming back next year to Shades of Green.

I number these due to if I didn't like it you wouldn't see a repeat from me on it. We arrived Thursday morning the day before Hurricane Mathews. We took the red eye flight (which I won't do again, getting to old for that type of stuff) and arrived at the SoG around 0730AM. The staff had a room for...

To do Disney right, you need to stay on-site, or barring that-at nearby hotels with transport. But on-site is best. And if you are active duty or retired military it makes sense to go with Shades of Green. I had the good fortune to stay here recently with a family member who is active duty. If you are eligible, you...

My husband and I now visit Disney twice a year - in September for the Food & Wine Festival and again in January just after the 1st of the year. My husband is former Air Force. We love this hotel and always choose it when we can. They have a wonderful children's play pool that our 3-year old loves, and...

If you are eligible to stay at Shades of Green, I would definitely recommend it! Staff is wonderful, food was good, and the bus to the Disney parks is a HUGE help! It definitely helps to stay on Disney property and avoid all of those crowds coming in each day. Only complaint was that there aren't a lot of food...

Disclaimer: to stay here you or a family mbr must either currently be serving in the Armed Forces OR a retired serviceman or woman. That may change to include all Veterans but stay tuned. However if you qulify, its the best deal in the central Florida area much less Disney world itself. Shades of Green sits astride two Arnold Palmer...

This is my first visit to Shades of green/Disney. I think it's a great idea to have a hotel (with discounted room prices) for military families, but I will stay at a different Disney property for my next visit. We arrived on Dec 27th and are staying until January 5th. Check-in was quick & easy. The property is large &...
