We have stayed at this motel a few times. It has a great location, decently priced, nice tiki bar on site, rooms are recently renovated, staff is friendly. The only thing I don't like is they let non-guests use the pool. The pool should be for paying guests only not everyone that lives in NSB. If I wanted to go to a public pool, which I don't, then thats what I would do.
I would eat lunch, have a drink and hang out by the pool a few hours twice a week. The food is great, the waitresses are great and the environment could be good but the hotel manager harassed me every time I was there. The first time he screamed at me about other people's kids that I did not know with no apology. The next time he screamed at me about parking in their lot to go to the beach. I informed him I am not a freeloader, I have a beach pass for the beach but I was eating there again today and again no apology. The next time he screamed at me about my cup and I can't bring my own food and drinks and hang out for free. Again I told him I had their drink in my cup and just finished eating from their menu. No apology. I parked a few days later and here comes the miserable bum screaming at me about parking. I ask him what his problem was with me. I thought we finally got an understanding BUT YESTERDAY on my birthday here he comes again to just mess with me. I had finally had it with him. I canceled my food order and went to Chases on the beach. It has much more class, great food, great music with live bands and nobody screamed at me for having my insulated cup. This will be my hang out for now on. They seemed to appreciate that I was spending money in their establishment!…
Our room was well equipped with a small kitchen which made it perfect for a 2 day stay with my significant other. Their on-site Tiki bar (& staff) were exceptional and we loved being right on the beach!
We loved our stay here! It is right on the beach with a nice pool and fun tiki bar. We ate our breakfasts and dinner and had our drinks right here. Everything was just what we wanted. Watched the sunrise each morning here too. Our servers and management was very helpful and fun. Will, Kristi, Julie at the bar good job. John the manager was great too. Thank you!
We have stayed here several time but have never had any problems like this time. It is your typical beach Motel. Its clean but the beds are very uncomfortable. Some of the people that were coming in from the street and the beach to the bar were very scary. A group of guys came in and we found out later that they were a gang and they were wasted. I feared for my grand kids. It seems anyone can go to the pool area even if you are not a guest and out of 15 chairs that they have there 2 are not broke. Very disappointing and I will probably not go back to this place. I guess that's why the rates are good. I would rather pay more for my safety and a comfy bed and a chair at the pool. People who are not guest should not be allowed at the pool but all I kept hearing is, I know the owner or I work here. Some lady came to the bar with 5 kids and let them all swim. The kids went insane and ran around and made things very uncomfortable.…
Disliked: Location was nice/good. This is a "BUDGET" motel, but the condition of this/my room is a indication that this place should have been torn down LONG AGO! This is a very old and NEVER UPDATED 1960's motel. Old windows with poor locks on the doors with a dead bolt only on the inside, Old crappy light fixtures, fan, tub fixtures, old crappy small water saver showerhead, showerhead pipe not straight, no stopper in sink and a trickle of hot water in the sink. I shaved with running COLD water. Cabinet door to cover fridge location falling off, I was there at Christmas Eve and Christmas 2020 for 2 nights (record cold) and A/C HEAT was NOT WORKING with night time temps in the 30's! Sheets were clean but felt like I was laying on sandpaper even after I flipped the fitted sheet wrong side up. Mattresses were super soft which is nice if you like that and I don't, I would FALL into the center of the full size bed when I sat on the bed that I was sleeping on. Old small bowel toilet, should be a oval and of course a water saving version (did not appear to be a water saving toilet). Shower drain did not drain, I had to keep it draining with the soap wrapper stuffed under the "Disk stopper". Crown molding in the bathroom needs attention/paint or "just why is it there to begin with"! Cabinets were OLD and falling apart! Window blinds did NOT have the tilting rod on any of the three blinds in my room. The room did have a radiator style plug in heater which I used the second night next to my bed along with the sleeping on the blanket taken off the second bed in my room as my "fitted sheet" which helped and I was much warmer too. What I Liked: · It happened that I was right next door (the big time share condo to the north of this location) to my sister and her husband. We were visiting my nephew and his soon to be bride and their month old baby girl and all her (my nephew's girlfriend's relatives for Christmas Eve and Christmas day. That part was very nice. My stay was THE WORST EVER!…
Haven’t been out in a awhile. Friend and I spent a few afternoon hours with bartenders Chris and Duffy I believe their names were. Great staff! Funny and attentive. Music was on point. Mixture of tourists and locals. Had the sampler appetizer platter and it was more like a meal. Clam strips, chicken strips, fries, mozzarella sticks, and fried pickles. Absolutely delicious fried platter served with lemon wedge and 4 types of dips. I felt like I was home again! Thank you all for a great afternoon!
Booked a night here on the way back from Florida, and were pleasantly surprised. The motel looks like it was built in the 1960's, but is well-maintained and the staff is very attentive. Located right on the beach, with steps down from their own Tiki Bar ! Room furnishings are dated, too, but everything is clean. Definitely the most enjoyable part of the Sea Vista is the location !
Ok if you are looking for a five star hotel or a place for kids, pop this is not the hotel for you. But if you are looking for an affordable old school motel on the beach, then this is the place to be! It is no frills and the building is old ,but has been redone and the rooms are not super big some of them but The sea Vista isn't for the horty tordy,it's for the regular working stiff that wants to get away to the beach and have some fun drinking at the tiki bar, people watching is great here and yes it's got party people of all forms wandering around. There are a lot of locals that hang out there and the pool dosent have to many chairs! But we like hanging out there, out of all the beach front bars this is the most laid back bar/ hotel around,it is right on Beach and quites down at night! They are the cheapest motel on the beach,so if you are looking for some fun and not to picky about your room this is the place for you!…
Stayed here 8/24 thru 8/29 great motel right on the ocean. They have dog friendly and smoke friendly rooms. Staff are very nice and helpful, from check in to the housekeeping staff. My wide and I love it because the beach is not over crowded and the people on the Island are so nice
