Fantastic location, clean homey room, outstanding service. Planning to stay only in this place from now and on. I would choose this place over Riverview Hotel and Best Western on the beach; absolutely love The Salty Mermaid.

This is not a hotel; it's instead a studio vacation-rental place. There is no office or front desk person; if you get there after 5:00, you will need to call the owner. I made the reservation through Expedia, and not knowing the policy, I waited an hour in my car desperately trying to find out what to do because there was no answer to my calls, and Expedia told me they couldn't help. I was lucky to see a guest come out, and upon asking him, he gave me the owner's cell phone number. Unfortunately, she didn't respond to those calls until much later. She told me that she was at her daughter;'s game. I was too tired from driving 7 hours to do anything else but stay. However, I find this to be a very irresponsible way to run a business. The room was nicely decorated, and you mainly pay (a lot) for the view, which is fantastic.…

We met up with friends for a quick weekend away and stayed at The Salty Mermaid. We were so please with the location, beautiful ocean view from the room and all walking distance for dining and shopping too!

Such a quaint unique place to stay conveniently located off of Flagler. Rooms were nice and big and all updated very nicely. We only stayed one night wish we had more time! The view was amazing right on the beach

Exceeded our expectations! Beautiful rooms and great location. Steps to the ocean. Stroll to the stores and restaurants. Judy was super welcoming and accommodating. For fun, we rented a golf cart to traverse the beach. Already plotting our return!

The Salty Mermaid is a great choice when visiting New Smyrna Beach. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The outside area is perfect to enjoy the ocean and stars. Overall, the location and comfort of the Salty Mermaid is spot on and we will definitely stay there again. Once you park you don't need to drive at all. Beach, restaurants, shops, all are in very short walking distance.

Great beachfront setting and perfect location with easy walking to many nearby restaurants. Room is comfy and nicely appointed. Nice outdoor seating areas with umbrellas. Friendly and helpful staff. Plan to return next year!

This place will fool you. As you are driving down the side street you don’t know what to expect. When you get into the room it is amazing, very modern and up-to-date. But the big surprise is when you go out the back door. It is a courtyard, oceanfront, private. We would definitely go again.

Great little place to stay. walking distance to restaurants and bars, very friendly staff and extremely clean. Very relaxing with a great view and access to beach. They also had bikes available to rent and they provided you with beach towels and beach chairs. Awesome experience!

This is our "go to" location in New Smyrna. Great location. Park your car and walk to everything. Clean rooms and fantastic staff. Bikes and golf cards are also available. The five rooms make it quiet and enjoyable.
