I saw a disturbing review about 'racism' and would like to share an alternate viewpoint. We had no problems whatsoever. We took a bunch of lessons and were matched up with other players at our level. You will love this place if you want to play and have a good attitude.

Since the Naples Bath & Tennis Club is a condo facility and NOT a hotel, make sure you know in advance how to obtain the location and keys to your unit. When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon at about 3 PM, the rental office (in the Clubhouse) was closed and the clerk in the Tennis Shop told us that we would have to come back the next day. Fortunately one of his customer's knew the "after hours" system. Also, the gate to the premises are locked at 9 PM, so you need the code if you are arriving after that time.

Our unit was a one bedroom and the price was reasonable considering that we were there during the peak season. It was nice to have full kitchen facilities and a clothes washer & dryer. Our stay was for 7 nights. Each day housekeeping picks up the trash and provides new towels. We were happy to vacuum the floors and make the bed ourselves. I assume that if we were there longer that there would be a change of sheets.

The club has 38 tennis courts. They were pretty heavily utilized, but I think that you will never really have to wait for a court. While we did not use the service, many people told us that the Club is very good at setting up games with players of similar tennis skills.

There is a Tennis Academy headed by David Crouch. The emphasis of the teaching is on the mental aspects of the game, with little instruction related to the physical aspects of your game.

Last evening I returned from my second visit to Naples Bath and Tennis Club and I'm already experiencing withdrawl symptoms from this fabulous tennis resort (I'm a New Hampshire resident).
I have vacationed at countless tennis resorts and I will not look further after discovering this gem. The facilities are fabulous. From the workout facilities to the lovely pool and spa facilities - this club has it all. In fact, we are considering purchasing real estate at the club - that speaks volumes.

The catalyst to my visiting Naples Bath and Tennis was the director of the adult tennis program - Curley Davis. I first met Curley at the Saddlebrook Resort, and when I was informed of his new position at Naples, I hopped on a plane to Naples rather than Tampa. Curley is an exemplary tennis instructor who motivates and inspires me every time we are on the court. At my age of 45, he has inspired me to hit with a Western grip, attack with swinging volleys, attack with inside-out forehands etc.

Since my visit last April, the owners of Naples Bath and Tennis have recruited world class teaching professionals to launch a junior tennis academy. It was inspiring to watch elite, junior tennis players from around the world perfecting their game. My only regret is that my children are not tennis players!

If you're not white, you can be stared at, subject to racism. You'll be in a fishbowl where everyone will mind your business. It is a very nice place but made awful by racist, busybodies. The property management is also the worst. Avoid unless you're white.

I understand that Naples Bath and Tennis Club became a part of ACADEMIA SANCHEZ-CASAL. Beautiful complex of multiple tennis courts is expending and upgrading. For us the clay courts were the true magnet and we enjoyed their friendly hourly rates and flexibility. The club/resort center is full of action and life. They gear their offered training towards kids and host classes, courses, summer and holiday camps. Families come here and rent a condo for a period of time for all to enjoy tennis. Their webpage is a bit “busy” and disorganized. When we first arrived it was difficult to find the attendant as she was not in the reception. We tried to call the facility while standing in the reception foyer but the phone was just ringing in front of us and eventually defaulting to a voice mail. Things got better once we tracked her down - she was willing to help.
We really like the complex and the concept of catering to tennis families and tennis centered visitors.
We will very likely be back
