We had a comfortable bed in a quiet room and we loved it. The house is a traditional historic property and Pat cooked us a great American breakfast after we had been for a run around Monticello, which is a sweet historic town. She also gave us good restaurant recommendations and was a relaxed host. We really enjoyed our stay...

I so enjoyed meeting both of you. Yes, the little town takes you away to another time and era. Thank you for your wonderful comments. Pat

We arrived a little late to Monticello, so we didn't get a good look around to see what options there are, but this bed and breakfast is nice. Bad weather was approaching, but we wanted to eat dinner, and Pat, the owner of the B&B, gave us a suggestion that was very close and very good. When we returned, we...

It was amazing how everyone stayed instead of outrunning the hurricane. We were able to still get out coffee and a great breakfast and enjoyed the good company. Please come see us again when there is no hurricane and you can get the full five star treatment. Thanks for your kind remarks. Pat

My daughter and I spent one night here - lovely! Very charming and comfortable. The best part was the full course breakfast that was actually served (not a buffet!), and it was delicious! Fruit, eggs, sausage, waffles, orange juice, and great coffee. Also, this is a pet-friendly place - big plus for me since I have to travel with my...

My mother and I stayed here overnight, because we were in town for a wedding. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and I had the best night sleep. Soaking in the claw foot tub was the highlight of my trip! We stayed in the Gold Room. The Pink Room has a claw foot tub also. The...

This was the seventh, and last, night of our road trip to Baton Rouge. After a long driving day, we arrived around 9:30 pm. Pat, the owner and innkeeper, greeted us warmly and, after brief conversation (it was late, and we were tired), we were directed to our upstairs rooms. Both rooms were roomy, quiet, and comfortable. In the morning,...

This is our second trip to Monticello and first at the Denham House. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were celebrating our anniversary and the rose petals on the floor and bed were a nice touch. The room was very peaceful and the hospitality of Amy and Sandra was outstanding. We enjoyed the authentic bathroom with the claw foot tub....

Genuine hospitality from interesting owner Pat, and assistant Sandra. Unique experience, enjoying spacious, well cared for, home (circa 1870s), good breakfast. Recommend visiting organic Monticello Winery which is lovely property; muscadine grape reminds me of sherry. Also, new Ecology Park at bottom of Water street, & Florida’s best kept secret (Tallahassee) is only 25 miles away along excellent hwy 90.

We stayed at this lovely house en-route from New Orleans to Clearwater. A very quiet location just off the main street. Pat, our host was most welcoming and made a lovely English breakfast, a nice reminder of home. The room was well presented and very comfortable. We ended the evening sitting on the veranda watching the fireflies and a very large...

My husband & I stayed here on a Thursday evening on our way to south Florida. This bed & breakfast was not as easily accessible to I-10 as I thought it would be. However, the drive there was picturesque. That evening, we hoped to find a local eatery with good food for dinner. Unfortunately, every thing in Monticello was closed...

Thank for taking the time to write a review. We currently have three restaurants open on a Thursday night in Monticello. The third is a wonderful American cuisine with wines, huge ribeye steaks, chicken and fish with sauces. The fourth is a brand new restaurant opening next month. They and more of our popular home grown restaurants are listed on...

If you love the elegance and comfort of Old South lodgings with modern conveniences that do not shade their authenticity, this is the place. The owner is a wonderful hostess, and the staff are divine. I was in tears listening to them describe their town as one big extended family. The B&B is full of antebellum charm, comfortable beds, and...
