The Gates Hotel South Beach - a DoubleTree by Hilton, is an upscale hotel that was built in June 2015. This full-service hotel is located on famous Collins Avenue at 23rd Street in the heart of South Beach and is across the street from the Atlantic Ocean. Convenient to all that South Florida has to offer, the hotel is only steps from Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive and South Beach's best dining, shopping, nightlife and entertainment - as well as convenient to downtown. The hotel is also convenient to the Biscayne Bay Marketplace, Bal Harbour and the Design District. Daily Resort Charge will be added to the room rate and includes: Guest internet; beach service to include 2 beach chairs and 2 beach towels; 2 aluminum water bottles refillable throughout stay; 2 hour bicycle rental; fitness classes; mid-day snack by the pool; oversized games for entertainment.

Stayed here for a long weekend with family and had a wonderful time. The rooms were small but roomy. I was afraid that the mattresses would be rock hard, but thankfully, VERY COMFORTABLE plus great pillows. We had two rooms with private balcony overlooking the pool. The only thing we missed having was a refrigerator. But, then again , we didn't inquire if they were available. The pool was a decent size with plenty of lounge chairs. They had some private cabanas that you could use if no one had them reserved. Nice DJ at the pool, only on weekends, but he leaves way too early. If the beach is your thing, the hotel has a spot reserved on the beach where you can get towels and chairs for free. Very nice touch!!! My advice is to cross the street, go behind the ONE hotel and get to the beach that way....nicer walk than Collins Ave. Staff was exceptional....thank you to Karina and Isaiah , from check in to check out and check in again after our flight had been canceled. Oh and they give you warm chocolate chip cookies at the desk anytime you ask. Shout out to Bob the bellman, who took care of us during check ins and check outs....and everything in between. The food was really good at the pool/bar area. We did have a bit of a wait, but the hotel was packed. A bit of advice to management....please keep the food and drink service at the pool area open a little later, it's so much more convenient. They do have an upscale restaurant near the front entrance, however, we never had the chance to go. Last but not least, we would like to thank the GM David, I swear that man lives there. He was present almost everywhere we went, day and night. Always with a smile and asking if there was anything he could do. Hey David, did you get those local maps to give visitors for the front desk? LOL…

Hotel was great. The room was very clean and staff was very nice. Pool area was very nice. Food and drinks were good as well. Christian was great. Always helpful at the beach. Would definitely go back!

Maria gave a complimentary detox yoga that was lovely! I highly recommend it. After a run on the beach it was exactly what I needed. Beautiful setting by the pool with a cool breeze and the sun. ☀️☀️😊😊😊😊😊☀️☀️☀️
