I stayed at the Sherry Frontenac hotel in the beginning of July, and it was amazing. I checked in with Sasha at the front desk. I requested a room with a king bed, with a view, and to my surprise, I was given a nice...More

Rooms are not the best but location on the beach and the pool is very nice. Front desk staff are always helpful and friendly. Good inexpensive breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice. Free parking lot close by.

Front Desk is very nice but it stops there. The rooms are dated and need major renovation. The bedding is ancient and needs to seriously be replaced. The air conditioning is almost non existant and in a Miami hotel you need air-conditioning as a basic...More

Yes, altho mostly a corporate atmosphere, many families make it a working vacation and bring the kids. Many things to walk to and the beach is right outside the pool area gate. Bus system stops right at the corner to take you into town. Cheaper than taxi. You cannot beat that. Their "canteen" serves hot food in the morning - very cheap. Otherwise, it is always open with microwaves, hot tea, cocoa and coffee, hot water. You can make convenience meals there if you do not have a microwave in your room. It is pure pleasure to sit outside the canteen on the balcony and look onto the pool and ocean.

Hello, this old gal is indeed art deco, but not like down in South Beach where they stand side by side for whole blocks. the lobby was redone a few years ago, but is not vintage art deco. Guest rooms are being redone bit by bit, so your chance of being assigned a room not redone is possible. That means an older room will be well-worn or a bit soiled. I have never seen bugs there. I would suggest asking for a redone room. I am out of touch with the Sherry's current rental fees. The grounds are nice, one of the few hotels that have an ocean-view pool. The restaurant is not spectacular. go up Colllins Avenue and partake of the many international cuisine cafe's and family restaurants instead!
