We did a lot of research before booking our first ever trip to Miami, and we could not have been happier with our experience at the Standard! This place is all about the vibe. The rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean and comfortable, and if you're coming here for the room you are coming for the wrong reason! The Standard is a beautiful Spa that just happens to have spartan but comfy hotel rooms, situated on a secluded and incredibly thoughtfully laid out property on Belle Isle, just slightly removed from the tourist trap, hub bub vibe of south beach, but an easy walk or E bike ride to that area if you desire. When you enter the property you feel like you leave Miami (or even America!) and enter a separate world built on relaxation and comfort. The staff was all very warm and welcoming, especially Erica who went the extra mile while serving us poolside, giving us an excellent off property dinner recommendation and taking the time to make us feel welcome and cared for. We had a couples massage that was beyond lovely and enjoyed an incredibly romantic getaway for our 15th anniversary that we will never forget! The spa is immaculate and needs to be experienced rather than described. Thank you to Erica and the entire team at the Standard for giving us the gift of an anniversary celebration we will cherish forever! We will be back!

The staff was great on coordination and planning for our team meeting + setting up all supporting items for the time there. Rooms were very accommodating and the team felt very comfortable being on the site. The common areas, restaurant, pool and facilities were all very well maintained and felt like we were on a private retreat.

If you are looking for complete relaxation and luxury, then this is the place for you. My husband and I forgot that we were in Florida. It felt like we were on a Caribbean island. The spa is unbelievable! Not only is there the option to get a massage, but you can access the Turkish bath, the sauna, the chill room, and a section where you can lounge in the cold a/c overlooking the beach with a refreshing cold tea brew. The pool was fabulous! Perfect temperature and you can hear music under the water. The seating was perfectly distributed. You are not on top of the people next to you, there are umbrellas in every section and waitstaff that takes your drink and food orders. Our waiter, Jaime, was incredibly sweet and recommended exactly what we wanted. The pool area has access to the ocean with a ladder if you wish you take a swim in the ocean. There were towels so we did not need to bring our own, the same applied to the spa. There is also a men's and women's locker room equipped with showers if you wish you freshen up after spending some time at the pool or the spa. I highly recommend this venue if you are looking to disconnect and relax.

The hospitality and attention we received from Karla G was top-notch. She got his ass around the location pointing out Lots of details that personalized our experience. We enjoyed lunch from the café and were delighted as the sandwich was very fresh, melting with brie cheese. After spending time working on the grounds of the facility, we enjoyed a few hours at the spa. The spa had a high sense of cleanliness and an environment of deep relaxation. Multiple associates checked in on us throughout our time and provided ample opportunities for additional personalize services. I loved being able to purchase a DIY product and use it in the bathtubs there. Karla also introduced us to the speakeasy later in the evening, where we had light bites and drinks. I would definitely recommend The standard as a boutique hotel for others to enjoy and highly recommend Karla as a top notch associate as it related to Client Experience.

The spa was such peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxation The cleanliness of the space gives you as sense of calm, The staff's attentiveness is superb, as they were always available to assist without being intrusive. Bezunesh, the friendly bath attendant, provided a warm and welcoming presence, making it even more enjoyable. Everything was perfect during the visit. Pros: Great escape for a girls’ weekend. Lovely space, great spa, great service. Great pool and fun spot to escape! Lots of dogs if you are into that. Lots of boobs by the pool.
Negative: front desk staff pretty unhelpful and unfriendly. Booked appointments the day prior at their nail salon, but they were not available when we showed up (I assume due to staffing). When I asked if there was a quiet space to take a business call, the concierge said no, I would have to rent a $400 conference room. Also, Paper thin walls so embrace the communal vibes (and your neighbors nighttime shenanigans).

I had an incredible massage with Meggie. A ‘hurts so good’ for 75minutes was exactly what I needed after a week of working out and boxing. Can’t speak highly enough of her care & treatment. Combined with sauna and steam after. Meggie is a great expert and you can tell she has been perfecting her craft.

…we are at the end of our Incentive/Team Meeting here at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach and no one wants to go back home! Our experience at this Hotel has been beyond rewarding - not only our meeting objectives were achieved to a 100%, we stayed at pristine sleeping rooms, enjoyed the overall Hotel and Spa updates, new F&B offers and we are leaving with a memorable service experience that only professionals can provide. The hotel is lovely and a perfect hideaway from buys Miami Beach. It is bayfront and not beachfront but perfect for times of the year when the beach is choppy.
The pool vibe is the best probably in Miami. It’s chill and the square pool makes it a perfect opportunity for people watching all day. The beach chairs are super comfy but make sure you get there early to get the beds.
The rooms are small and very minimalist. The bathrooms are very small and the toilets are tiny but that’s the vibe. I read some of the reviews about how the rooms are like a motel 6. They are not but don’t expect big comfy hotel style rooms. It is meant to be a hotel and if you read the description of the hotel it is a spa first. If you’re used to paying for minimalist this is it. Do book one of the rooms on the outer parts of the hotel as those come with bathtubs and it is so lovely to lay in them in water on a hot day. The rooms have a bit of a Palm Springs vibe. We loved it. Room service doesn’t seem to clean rooms early on unless you ask for it.
The spa is one of the most aesthetically beautiful spas I have ever been to. It is perfection - the design is just unreal. I wouldn’t get any of the body treatments. It appeared to be quite quick and the little bathtubs you soak in after are not rinsed or washed after each client. I was sure to look at that and it was gross. Someone else soaked in it and the attendant prepared it but then it wasn’t washed before the next client.
Front desk is a bit too snooty. They give a vibe. We live in a world of inclusivity and as a business owner with a high end brand as long as people can afford services there is no need for exclusive attitude. I only felt that at front desk and the beach restaurant though. But I guess that’s what they call “Miami rude”.
The hotel is fun. Different from the standard New York but we really liked it.

Hi there, Our pool is great for meeting new friends. We must agree our pool vibes are the best vibes. Our spa was designed with our guests in mind by our incredible design team, there is nothing like it (and we like that). Our apologies if there was any missteps with cleanliness. Our bath attendants are trained to clean and sanitize tubs after each use. If there is any instance where a bath is not clean to the standard we hold, reach out to a bath attendant. They are willing and ready to assist in ensuring a clean and sanitize area for our guests. Our spa has 3 incredible body treatments, Turkish Hamam Rub & Scrub, Sun Kissed, and The Standard Scrub. All body treatments last 30 minutes. At The Standard we embrace and celebrate individuality. We share a common mission; we care deeply for the humanity of our guests, communities, and teammates and their comfort, safety, and inclusion are always our primary responsibilities. It is a unisex spa so you are mixed with both genders but it is pretty
Private inside the spa. I have never see men fully nude during the day at the spa or the pool (or women) for that matter and I have been going to Standard for over a decade. I’ve seen topless , I’ve seen small bikinis on men. The only time I ever see full nudity is early in the morning before the pool service begins, I’ve seen a few men swim in the buff at the pool. I know this doesn’t answer the question but it’s the best I can give!
There are more places to choose from in the Miami Beach area.
