Rooms are tiny. You may have to hug the wall or lean on it to use the toilet. There is also a sewage and feces smell that would permeate into the room from time to time. The restaurant service is great, however the food is very very bland.
We just got back from 5 days at The Palms, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The room was clean and well maintained (comfy beds, adjustable air), the garden/grounds were absolutely beautiful (love all the orchids and flowering plants), the food was excellent (not a big selection but all was wonderfully cooked), and the staff was just so warm and kind while being amazing at their jobs. Everyone made us feel special and I couldn't be happier with the vibe at this place (perfect for sortof quiet families like ours, who mostly want to enjoy the sun with a book... it got a bit crowded when the sun was out, but that was a fun energy, and in the mornings the pool and beach were nice and quiet). Just amazing people working hard to make the hotel a wonderful place to stay. We ate at the restaurant repeatedly because the food was so good, and we LOVED the food at the lunch-bar by the pool (the pork tacos were AMAZING!). …
The Palms exceeded our expectations in every way. We stayed for 3 nights and although the weather wasn’t always great the service and experience in the hotel was incredible. A special shout-out to our bellman Joseph who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and recommended some incredible local restaurants such as Mama Tacos. Thank you! We also wanted to mention how hardworking and kind Clifton is as well. We will be recommending this hotel to all of our friends who want to visit Miami.
We stayed here 3 nights and everything was fabulous from the staff to the grounds. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was comfy. The grounds are like a tropical island. We didn't have any problem finding a chair by the pool or the beach because staff were always there to help us. We enjoyed happy hour the one night. They don't have happy hour over the weekend. The coconut shrimp that we ordered poolside was delicious. We loved this place and will stay again.
Our room was right in front of the elevator and was very noisy. Cleaning staff was making so much noise at 8 am on a Sunday, there was no chance of sleeping in. Beach service was slow, it was over an hour until we got a server to come up. Breakfast buffet was ok but both days we were offered coffee AFTER we finished our breakfast. Pool was very small, pool chairs were not available on either day of our stay and no assistance was offered to help us locate one. We won’t be coming back.
This is our second time staying at the Palms and both times have been excellent. We very much enjoyed the low-key vibe, great beachside and hotel service, and luxurious rooms. Special shout out to Emmanuel in the Palms restaurant, he treated us super well and made sure we had a fantastic stay.
The hotel met our expectations and suited our needs. The pool area is relaxed with soft background music and has a great Tiki Bar service. The pool area doesn’t have the loud or flamboyant scene some hotels are associated with and that was instrumental in our choice. Comfortable room, which was quiet and provided us with a good night sleep. Friendly staff and an Art Deco feel. Generally though you need deep pockets in South Beach!
My husband and I truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. We wanted to do a short get away after we got married since our honeymoon wasn't until May 2023. The property is very peaceful and well kept. Service was hands down excellent. We felt like we were being treated like family. Highly recommend the Spa service especially after planning a wedding. Very romantic location in the heart of South beach.
I looked at different hotels in Miami Beach area for a 4 day stay with family. If you are looking for a family resort on the beach, but away from the party scene on Ocean Drive, then I would recommend the Palms and Spa. I looked at others, like the Royal Palms, the Confidante, but settled on the Palms based on the pictures and reviews. It is a smaller hotel in Mid Beach, but not far from where South Beach starts. The rooms are clean, the lobby gives you a relaxed island vibe. The landscape and pool area is relaxing and inviting. It is a really cool, smaller place between the more expensive Edition hotel and Faena hotel. So the location is great, you can walk, bike (CitiBike is available), or take a quick Uber ride to the Ocean Drive or Lincoln Rd area. The bathroom maybe small, but it is elegant with a rain shower and handheld shower. There is a separate toilet and sink area, like a tiny powder room, which makes it convenient for two people. The beds are comfortable and just everything about the hotel is very nicely kept. We didn't see any damage or anything run down. Really great for the value and the location. You get the towel, beach umbrella and lounge chair service as well. There's a resort fee, but all hotels charge a resort fee. I think if you book early enough, you can get a good deal. My family really enjoyed the stay. …
Comfortable, clean, up to date hotel in a great location. I've stayed at the Loews, Eden Roc, and other places that often cost more and didn't feel this place left me wanting in any respect. I would happily stay here again.
