I had a wonderful stay at the Gabriel. The staff is top notch- so friendly and accommodating. The hotel was able to change my room type to a larger room after my friend decided to join me last minute on my trip (special thanks to Trisha at the front desk for making this happen.) There was a free continental breakfast included in our stay. Just be sure to make it clear to the restaurant staff that you'd like the continental breakfast and show them the provided breakfast cards you receive at check in. Unfortunately my friend and I did not clarify this before ordering and we ended up having to pay for our meal because it was not the designated breakfast (which is just fruit + pastries.) We were not aware of this so just wanted to be sure others knew and don't make the same mistake, lol. The room (a deluxe room) was very spacious and clean. I loved that my friend and I had separate sinks and that the shower/tub situation was an entirely other ROOM than the bathroom (the tub was amazing, btw)! Made getting ready really easy and efficient. There's a main pool, two smaller soaking tubs (loved the cold one- so refreshing) and a lap pool. We did not have any issue grabbing lounges around the pool but we also went during the low season. The location is a bit tucked away from the nightlife but many things are a short uber ride away. You can get to Miami Beach in about 15 minutes via car. I would absolutely stay here again, really loved my time here.…

The hotel is beautiful but the customer service and accommodations are below par by a long shot! Our whole trip consisted of daily visits to the front desk . First our room wasnt ready at time of “early checkin” then it also wasnt ready at normal check in time (3-4pm) we had no sheets on our bed just a comforter and a dirty mattress topper that had stains. They attempted to double charge my card for the booking of my stay. The shower was flooded and felt like you were standing in a mini pool. We never received full service for our room we had to ask for new towels everyday and our room was never cleaned even upon request. Everything was overpriced and overall as someone who travels often it was not a bang for your buck. We were unable to talk in person to the manager the whole stay and overall left unsatisfied and upset. If we ever return to miami this place will definitely not be a choice. Looks are very deceiving.…

Great hotel in a super nice neighborhood! Our room was clean and modern with the most comfortable bed and spacious shower. We had a balcony facing the bay which was beautiful! Staff were amazing and friendly and helped us figure out a lot while we were there. Best part for us was the free shuttle and chairs on South Beach!

The Gabriel, impressively gets the hard stuff. The hotel itself is beautiful, well located and the people are outstanding. The fitness center, while a little cramped given its popularity, is better than most and everything works. This is not always the case! Unfortunately the hotel fell down with the easy stuff, particularly the many items that can disappoint if they're not specifically focused upon. For my family this included no hot water, lights that turned on magically in the middle of the night, the first room we were given being 80° and climbing, and lack of signage in order to find our rooms. To me this all comes down to management, and with keen focus will be solved for so the place can fly.

My wife and I stayed here for one night before a cruise. The good: - Room itself was large - Bed was confortable - View was exceptional - Shower pressure was great - Separate tub?!? - Helpful staff - Pretty central to a lot of things, not far from the cruise terminals The bad: - Layout and grading of the bathroom leads to entire floor getting soaked from showering - Light switches and controls were confusing, some inoperative - Restaurant staff and service were EXTREMELY slow, even when not busy at all - Signage for restaurant was contradictory and confusing We had just needed a place to stay for a night before a cruise, and we booked this hotel because of the rate and how central it was to some things. When we arrived, we couldn't believe we were in the right place. The room was huge, view was spectacular, bathroom was bigger than some apartments.... There was a bidet! That was unexpected. The light controls were not switches, but more touch sensitive panels, and some of the lights didn't work. It took a little bit to figure out all the lights. In the morning, we got breakfast at the onsite restaurant (which their signage says is on floor 1 for breakfast, but ended up being on 3). They weren't even at half capacity, but it took 10-15 minutes to even have the lone waiter come up to us to bring water or menus, and probably 45 minutes to get food. Not what I would have expected. While visiting Rick was the best. He was extremely helpful from check-in until the end of my visit. He greeted me upon arrival and was friendly every time I came into the lobby. He was helpful and knowledgeable about night life and is 100% the reason I will chose The Gabriel anytime I come back to Miami.
