We are Titanium Elite members for life with Marriott Hotels. We arrived at the hotel and waited in the Elite line for 40 minutes to be checked in while 3 times the amount of people were checked in the regular line. We were given an upgrade of a corner room with a view. The room was okay but bathroom was extremely small. The lighted mirror which was the lighting for the sink area didn’t work and the toilet paper roll was loose. My husband informed the front desk and the solution was to put a floor lamp in the small space. The following morning we went to the restaurant for breakfast. Waited 30 minute to have a table clear and the service was awful. That evening ordered room service. We were told that it would take 25 minutes and an extra $5 fee to have food delivered to the room or we could pick it up. After waiting an hour made several calls to ask where our order was no one answered the phone. The food finally arrived. The sandwiches were cold and soggy and pizza was tasteless. Overall the hotel is clean but wouldn’t say spotless. It needs to be freshened up in many areas. It is close to the port authority which I believe is the only reason it was so busy. Being Marriott members for over 30 years and being elite members we expect so much more. I certainly didn’t feel we were treated as we are custom to as long time customer. Will definitely not stay here again.

I and my daughter stayed at the hotel – me for a night, she for a week. She left a jacket in the closet of her room – one phone call and July Benoit had it all taken care of – found the jacket and had it mailed back to us. Who could ask for better service!

My husband and I booked our stay through Marriott reservations as we always do. We have been part of the Marriott Rewards family for 15+ years and are Titanium Lifetime Member’s. Let me first say the hotel is well keep, beautifully decorated, and has nice amenities. Their service crew doesn’t disappoint either. From the Valet, Alberto, Junior and Rose are very helpful and take pride in taking care of guests always! The bellman “Joseph “ and others are equally considerate with guest service in mind. The restaurant Catch, the coffee shop Illy, and pool bar “Arby” are very personable and friendly as well. It’s nice to see the some of the same faces year to year as we return to this hotel. However we have now had issues checking out at the front desk today. We were charged for another room that we didn’t even reserve along with room charges as well. When the front desk agent presented us our final bill at check out we asked why we were being charged for another room. When clearly we already had a room on the day the second room was charged to us. The agent went back forth with us , saying that these were out charges. Finally a front end manager “Kristy” came out and handled the overcharges by starting an investigation. We later found out from her that we were handed an invoice from a previous stay which was already paid for. The reason why we wanted to wright this review is for two reasons. One to mention the great service we received from the service team and two the embarrassing accusations that we would try to cheat the hotel by having other guest stay in the other room or make reservations directly through the hotel some way and that she couldn’t just take our word for it. This made us feel devalued as long term members of Marriott. This also caused us to wait at the front desk for 2 1/2 hours. Very inconvenient since we had a 3 1/2 hour drive to get home. They did compensate us with some Marriott points for our trouble. Long story short always

I attended a conference here and was super impressed. The location is great with wonderful views of biscayne bay. Reasonably priced on site parking and decent food made this a great location for a two day conference. Service was exceptional. I forgot my laptop charger at home and Luis in the Security department actually gave me one for my use during my time there. Eating lunch outside in February was also a nice treat.

We stayed here the night prior to getting on a cruise ship. The hotel is neat and clean, and our room was comfortable and well appointed. We were on a high floor, and were able to see our cruise ship from our window. We did NOT eat here, as the offerings and prices were more than we wanted to pay, but the restaurant had several places within easy walking distance that we used. There was no one at the concierge desk, but we didn't worry, used our phones to find places that were close. I was not happy that I booked a room on the concierge floor, was given a room above it, and then told that I had NOT booked a room on the concierge floor when I tried to complain. However we were already there, getting ready for a cruise, and decided to let it go. I had not brought my booking information with me. Next time, I will do that.

This hotel looked like a good bet as a pre-cruise stop. While the ride from Miami airport took 25 mins, the ride to the port took less than 10 mins. It is located in an odd section of downtown, where there aren’t many stores or restaurants close by. However, there is a metro mover stop (free) close by to take you other places and it is right on the water with nice views.
For some reason, the elite check in desk was longer than the regular check in line and I didn’t see anyone stepping up to help move the line faster. I also didn’t notice any perks of being an elite member, as my request for an ocean view was denied and there was no complimentary bottled water provided (it was $4 in the room).
Our room was oddly shaped, with some angular walls, however there was a balcony where you could enjoy the warm Florida weather. The room seem dated and in need of some painting and freshening up. A call to housekeeping for an extra luggage rack and towels went unanswered for over an hour and required a second call to actually get the requested items. There was a mini-fridge in the room, which I used to store some soda in, however later that day it was still warm, because the fridge wasn’t plugged in? Such basic oversights could have been easily corrected.
On the plus side, the king bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was functional and there was a nice outdoor pool area. Check out was efficient and the room price was reasonable given it was high season. If you’re looking for a one night stay either before or after a cruise this might be a good location. For a longer visit, there may be better options around this area.

I will be returning again. Starting with the check-in, and throughout the stay, the staff was attentive and friendly. I used the mobile check in, which got me up to my room quickly. My room was clean and modern. Overall, the Marriott staff here really pays great attention to the details to make your stay really enjoyable. Just one example, I checked out of the hotel before a package I was expecting had arrived. I spoke with Norberto in their security office, who immediately arranged to have the package fedexed to me my home, no questions asked and free of charge. It is that level of service and attention that will have me coming back again.

My experience at this hotel has been by far the worst of any Marriott property I have stayed at, the service provided here compares more to a Motel 6 not a full-service Marriott. My reservation was canceled two days before arrival because the card I used on my reservation is kept locked even after I called and spoke to the hotel about paying for the reservation in full, an offer their staff refused. After that was fixed and upon checkin I was told as a silver elite member I couldn’t use the “Elite” checkin line because they were too busy. The first room they checked me into was dirty, the second room they moved me to had long black hair all over the bathroom (I’m bald so I know it wasn’t my hair), shower head was broken which maintenance finally arrived at 9:40pm to fix after waiting over two hours on a night I was trying to get ready to go out and celebrate my birthday. The pool was disgusting enough I could write my name in the grime along the water. The service at the restaurant was terrible and the waiter poured water into my friends Diet Coke as a refill and never brought another drink then took over 30 minutes to get the check. They have suspended daily housekeeping and tell you to just request towels which I did and was completely ignored. I will never stay at this property again and I will 100% make sure everyone I know, knows not to stay here as well, you should really think about what experience you’re trying to have before booking a room here as well. I reached out to the hotel for resolution after all the issues I experienced in my two night stay and they just want to go back and forth instead of actually doing something about it. Never again.

We stayed here for 2 nights for the Andrea Bocelli Christmas Concert and were very pleasantly surprised at both the hotel and the surrounding area (we stayed here 15 years ago). Its not only very conveniently located to many of the entertainment venues but both the hotel and area have been upgraded with many new buildings. The hotel is still in the process of being renovated starting from the top floors down to the 16th, and including the restaurant. The new rooms are clean, and beautiful with fantastic waterfront views. The staff, valets, and bellmen are some of the best we’ve had anywhere in the world. The value, location, rooms, and high level of service are evident to professionals and air crews who stay here. Kudos and thanks especially to Jose Perez and Alberto P. We highly recommend!

We stayed 2 couples on the 7th March 2020 for one night pre-cruise,when we checked in, the receptionist asked us for our credit card just in case anything was charged during our stay which there was not. The Hotel staff were friendly and we enjoyed our stay. But on the 28th March we noticed that the hotel had taken for the two rooms which had already been paid for before our stay. We contacted them this was there reply

Suggest contacting the hotel concierge to find out where specifically at the airport is the pick up location as well as how often the shuttle departs from the resort.
