The Four Seasons Hotel Miami boasts a prime location with stunning bay views, often highlighted by guests for its convenience to local attractions. While the hotel exudes a luxurious ambiance and offers stylish and comfortable accommodations, some travelers have encountered issues with room readiness and noise. The service is typically attentive and professional, but there have been mentions of occasional neglect.
The pool and amenities receive positive remarks, yet the value proposition is questioned by many who feel the costs outweigh the experiences. Cleanliness is generally well-regarded, with some room for improvement in bathroom upkeep.

Detailed Reviews
Set just off Brickell Avenue, the downtown Four Seasons is a sanctuary resort inside the business district and a welcome one. The check-in is imposing with a lot of marble and high ceilings, but the staff is immediately warm and helpful in the usual Four Seasons way. Part business and part pleasure, I had added a second room to the booking for my children. Without prompting this turned into a 2 bedroom suite which made our over all stay more enjoyable.
The pool area is fabulous and the pool itself is enormous. There are cabanas on a first come first served basis which we used one day and private cabanas we paid additional for when guests visited. Both were great there were plenty of other beds and umbrellas and staff all too willing to help. We all loved the hammmocks in the lagoon area and they were so relaxing it was hard to read there without falling asleep.
The Four Seasons rarely fails to deliver the MIami location is no excpetion.

We travelled down to Miami for weekend getaway, never stayed at the four season but a friend of ours told us how good it was.
The minute we arrived the doorman helped with our luggage and escorted us to the seating area for checkin, we booked the room which offered views overlooking the bay the room were well furnished with all the natural amenities you would come to find in a luxury hotel such as the four seasons. We ate the “Edge” restaurant we ordered their steaks which were cooked to perfection so flavourful and tender it was amazing.
The whole hotel is stunning the location offers easy access to the downtown area and loads of restaurants and bars close by as well, definitely my new favourite place to stay in Miami.

The property is located central in Brickell in the business district and is surrounded by other high rise properties. This property is spacious and feels resort like with a lovely pool, fabulous gym access and large nicely finished public spaces. Our room was recently updated and had a nice view of the bay.
We had a few annoying hiccups that should be noted:
They need a coffee shop in the lobby. Coffee is set out very early and taken down quickly. Heading to the restaurant for a take away coffee can easily take 25 minutes. Breakfast service was slow. They need a small coffee shop, look at what the Biltmore in Coral Gables just added in their lobby for guidance.
Our television never worked even after two visits from maintenance.
A Four Seasons should not be texting before arrival about an “opportunity to upgrade” my booked room. This is a money grab and should be discontinued it is insulting and annoying.
They had a power washer plugged in on the pool deck for the entirety of a Friday and the noise was insane. I understand the need for maintenance but guests should have been notified so they could make other plans. When we inquired to the pool staff they were very understanding and agreed but the concierge acted smug as if it was a silly complaint.
The Highlights:
Large, clean room with a comfortable bed and nice view.
Nice marble bathroom. Yes maybe a little dated but high quality materials will always be timeless (and better than cheap trendy cardboard finishes) and this hotel has beautiful finishes. The footprint is older so the hallways are wide and ceilings are high, lots of elevators and a grand feeling overall on the property.
The pool and pool staff are outstanding. Well heeled, quiet and respectful crowd..it’s not always like that in Miami. This is not a “scene” it is a restful, clean and relaxing atmosphere. Nice cabanas, a hot tub and hammock area add to the atmosphere.
Hotel has two bar options and they are both very nice. The food in the brasserie was very good.

I was looking forward to staying here, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations for a 5-star hotel.
First, the service was incredibly slow—food orders took ages to arrive, and simple requests for items were delayed as well. When the food did arrive, it was underwhelming and not on par with similar luxury properties.
The AC in my room was broken the first night, which made for an uncomfortable stay. While they offered a partial refund, it didn’t compensate for the inconvenience. Housekeeping was also disappointing: they didn’t stock many of the standard amenities I’ve come to expect from other 5-star hotels. On top of that, they knocked on my door three times in one day, despite me clearly stating my preferred housekeeping time.
Staff visibility and attentiveness were lacking. At night, the lobby was often empty—no one greeted us upon return, and bellhops didn’t open doors or acknowledge arrivals. Ubers were also a hassle, as there was no one to direct them, leaving me to walk down the driveway to meet my rides.
It’s clear that the hotel prioritizes repeat guests over new ones, offering welcome treats to the former while doing little to impress first-time visitors. For the price, the experience felt significantly overpriced compared to other 5-star properties I’ve stayed at.
Overall, while the property has potential, the lack of attention to detail and service left me feeling disappointed. Unfortunately Miami has too many options for me to return here again.

Dear salishad85, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I am truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet the high expectations you have for a Five-Star experience. I fully understand how frustrating it must have been to encounter slow service, issues with your room, and housekeeping challenges during your visit. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the AC issue, as well as the delayed food service and the lack of standard amenities in your room. I also regret that our staff’s attentiveness and visibility fell short of what you should expect. These are certainly areas we can improve upon, and I appreciate you bringing them to our attention. Your feedback is invaluable, and I will be sharing your comments with our team to ensure we make the necessary improvements moving forward. If you’d like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly at sock.nengtan@fourseasons.com. The Four Season Miami is a conference hotel. It caters to corporate clients and consumers of its extra services (e.g., gym and catering). It does not cater to independent travelers expecting a high-end experience commensurate with its rates and customer promise. On Day 1 of our stay, we were told that the pool and pool catering was closed to "guests" for a corporate party. The front-office staff are pleasant but not empowered to provide solutions to problems. After much discussion and a lot of "I'm so sorry", including staff meeting with the managers "downstairs", it was offered that we could use the "residence" amenities, but by then it was almost too late. On Day 2, we were told that dining in the Edge Terrace was reserved for other clients for Valentines Day. The rooms are spacious. The room service is good. But if you are looking for a high-end customer experience, there are other many other hotels in Miami that can better meet your needs. Our only commendation is to Daniel at Concierge Services.

Four Seasons Mimi is not anywhere near the standard you would expect for the price point as well as how they compare to their overseas properties guest experience..
We were allocated an adjoining room and were kept awake by the noise coming from the guests next door throughout the night. No sound-propofing and could hear their TV, conversation and coughing. Asked to be moved the next day and very clear did not want another room with an adjoining door, waited until the afternoon, only to be allocated another room with an adjoining door. When we queried we were made to feel that we got what we requested and clearly had not been listened to. Also due to poor weather only one restaurant was open, which was really nice but would expect more choice of bars and restaurants at a 4 seasons.
Would definitely not stay here again. Am still waiting for a copy of our bill despite chasing and being advised it would arrive by email.

This had been our favorite getaway for sun & relaxation. I'm still giving it 3 stars because the service is excellent, the rooms are large & lovely (the window seats are our favorite treat), and the grounds - especially the pool - are beautiful. But w/ new ownership it has changed considerably, especially when it comes to food. We loved this hotel before because of the aforementioned reasons, but the biggest plus was the food. The pool menu was filled with great tacos & bowls, all w/ unique Latin & South American takes. The shrimp tacos were my favorite! And the Edge menu had a wide selection of starters that also had Latin/South American/Miami flavors. Often we'd get a few and share. Even the mains, including the basics such as steak or fish had unique Latin/South American flavors. So when we visited this Four Seasons we felt we were getting the quality of Four Seasons along w/ the benefits of the flavors/vibe of Miami. Under new ownership, they've jettisoned all this and replaced the food everywhere with bland, boring, even bad regular hotel fare. It was a huge disappointment. Huge. I doubt we'll return. The vibe has changed, and rather than it feeling like the Miami Four Seasons, it's more like a Four Seasons that happens to be in Miami. Plus, the $40 a day resort fee (that is additionally taxed twice) is a joke. We've paid resort fees before, but when there were actual amenities. This was just a way to make more $. Add it to the room price. At these prices, an additional $40 will not determine where we stay or not. Don't insult us w/ a resort fee.

UPDATE August 2021:
Even though I promised myself not to stay at this FS again I did so recently. After staying at the Surfside location in June, I knew my expectations would be very high coming back to Brickell, but I kept an open mind. No doubt the location is great, close to everything and very lively, but that's where it ends. Upon checking in we had an issue with our room, not a small issue but rather large one, so we were put in another room. I will say the manager called to check on us and ensure all was okay, which was appreciated. The rooms here are outdated, the furniture is discolored, there is still carpeting, so unsanitary during these times and the shower drains and sink drains always back up. Pool service was a lot better than when we last stayed in March 2020, the hotel staff was very friendly as well, but I just have an issue with the rooms and overall quality of the hotel. For the $200 some dollars per night, fine I get it, but when this hotel goes up during peak season to over $500 per night, it's not worth it. Hopefully with the new ownership it will be upgraded and remodeled, it desperately needs a facelift.
My husband and I have been staying at the Four Seasons Miami for over 10 years and I'm sad to say that I will never stay here again. Within the past 2 visits, over a 3 month period, I witnessed changes that have been less than desirable for a FS property. Our last visit, this past weekend, was the last straw. The pool service was terrible, once our chairs were set up and nice tip was provided, no one checked on us, no one brought us waters and when I got up to move my chairs from one area to another, no one assisted. I also observed guests smoking outside the pool and ashing in palm trees and handing cigarettes to friends in the pool. I witnessed numerous employees walk by the guests and not mention a thing. Upon check out I brought up these concerns not to receive anything but no let them know and was provided with the typical hotel skit, I'm sorry about that.
The last straw was receiving our car from valet with damage to it. The valet company is not owned by FS hotel but they should still monitor. Our rented vehicle had damage that was conducive of someone taking a sharp turn and curb checking the vehicle, damage to the rim and front quarter panel. I have pictures of the vehicle when dropped off and there was zero damage. The valet

First of all there is no dresser in my room. No place at all to put my clothes but to leave them in my suitcase. This is not the 4 Seasons I thought I would get or my $900 per day but if you have business nearby in Bricknell the location is good. I would advise you if you are coming here to request a room with the best view of the bay they have. I am in 2705 and the view is partial and not so pleasant. There is a bay outside that some rooms look over fully and ask for those. The rooms are very disappointing. Worse than those I had in $100 a night places on South Beach and these are $900 a night. The place has no amenities except a very nice pool, an inside restaurant that is like a mediocre restaurant where you live and an outside restaurant that is a typical poolside place. There is no soul to the place because there is no staff working on making the visitors feel "at home." For example when I asked for change of a $20 at the restaurant's bar I was told they had no cash. When I asked them to turn on the beautiful gas fires they have near the pool they said they would have to ask the manager because it was windy (but it was possible if I would wait). You see no staff during the day unless you speak to the very obliging Concierge and the one person who checks you in. Try another place like the Mandarin Oriental is my advice unless you have a point system that gives you this place for free.
