Mariano from the front desk was very warm hearted and helpful. The breakfast staff and housekeeping staff where all friendly and always smiling. This is a good place for long stay or short stay the room has many amenities
Great stay easy check in / helpful staff Joanne M at the front desk was great the breakfast was average mostly we went out for breakfast lunch and dinner the location near airport worked out great for us it’s on the south side grocery store nearby. And we rented a van near the airport
I generally stay at Springhill hotels. My Room at at the Miami airport location smelled of urine. The Shower water went cold during my shower. The Breakfast had very limited selection. I was originally planning to stay for two nights but checked out after the first night because it wasn’t up to Marriott standards.
I have stayed at many SpringHill Suites before and this was a complete disappointment. We just needed an overnight between flights. Glad it was only one night or I would have moved hotels. The inbound shuttle driver was ok. The evening front desk rep was quite personable. That's were it ended. The lobby and public area looked good. However, the room is in bad need of a renovation. Poorly lit in the living room. There were stains on the couch. We had to put down a towel to sit on. The towels were close to threadbare. There were no facecloths. The shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers were empty. The breakfast was more like a low end hotel. No fruit. No pastries. Only oatmeal, scrambled eggs (put lots of salsa on it!), sick looking sausage patties, french toast sticks, and cereal. The orange juice was like drinking Tang. The outdoor chairs are in bad need of replacing and were damp. Finally, the outbound shuttle driver was like speed racer taking the corners as quickly as possible or slamming on the brakes for a red light. It was only the two of us and the shuttle only runs hourly. Not sure what his hurry was. Never again!…
I vistas Miami for a sales conference. The hotel rooms are maybe a step above a Motel 6. During our stay we found a roach in our room and we talked to the cleaning staff about it. When we returned our room was spotless. The cleaning staff was great. Today is where it all went wrong. My original flight was cancelled. I had to go back to the airport to return my car rental but needed to return to the hotel in the airport shuttle l. Before leaving to return the rental car I stopped at the front desk and spoke to both Angie and the shuttle driver to ask about the procedure to get the shuttle. They gave me directions to where to get the shuttle once I returned the rental. Angie instructed me to call the hotel and let them know I was ready and they would send the driver. I called the hotel at 8:00am, Angie said that the driver would be right there. At 8:30 I called back to find out where the driver was. Angie put me on hold to “check” and said that he left 5 minutes ago. Another 20 minutes the driver arrives. There was no traffic this is 8:00am on Sunday morning. When I got in the shuttle the driver says that he only makes airport runs once an hour. When I asked why I wasn’t informed of that he said that he didn’t know what Angie didn’t tell me. I reminded him that he was standing there when I asked the process and neither him nor Angie mentioned anything about the shuttle running every hour. When I got back to the hotel I spoke to Angie and I asked her why she didn’t tell me that the shuttle only ran every hour when I requested the shuttle. She said that she didn’t know that and normally he just leaves to go pick up the customers when they request a shuttle. So obviously now someone is lying. Either way this is unprofessional and unacceptable. I wasn’t even going to complain about the roach in the room or the room itself, but thanks to Angie and the shuttle driver…here’s your 1 star! Enjoy!…
Never smelled this much pot before. Walked down to the front desk twice and called once. Management told me “I’m not going to start knocking on doors.” So your just going to allow pot smoking in a non-smoking hotel? Yep. NEVER STAY HERE. Called corporate reservations number and because we booked via 3rd party they won’t do anything. That’s BS! They’d move us to another hotel but only if we pay a more expensive rate.
Since I got back home yesterday I’ve been dying to write this review. I want to tell you guys how my experience was staying at the Spring Hill suites Miami airport hotel. the only good thing that I can say about the hotel was that we got to check in early. I was staying in room 507. When we got in to the room there was hair and stains on the pillows we stayed in a double beds suite with a pull out bed. When I went to use the bathroom there was no toilet paper it did look like somebody previously used it because the toilet doesn’t flush regularly. We stayed for four nights. We was here for Miami carnival. So basically we wasn’t going to be in the room for our whole stay because he was out partying is celebrating for the Caribbean culture. When we went to shower the shower knob was very rusty in a sound like it was going to break when you turn the knob to turn on the water. So that was another issue the walls were cracked and it looked like everything was just outdated so they really do need to update the hotel because it’s just didn’t look right anymore. So the person who checked us in early his name was Ernesto. We also interacted with a few other front desk staff everyOne was nice except Ernesto and I’m gonna get back to my interaction with him. We got to speak with a front desk woman who had dreads and was African-American she was very sweet and helpful she gave us food recommendations and assisted us with other things that we needed. She was the best! When we went downstairs to see what was in the foods market place behind the front desk we had purchased drinks from the fridge they were Coke zeros and they were expired from July 2021. When I noticed that it was expired is when I was back up in my room took a sip and the soda was completely flat. We were just very shocked that they had outdated soda in the fridge so if you do buy something make sure you check the expiration date. There was not that many options for snacks from the little market because it wasn’t stocked properly. So instead we use Instacart and had snacks and water delivered straight to our room. Moving along we had a great interaction with the housekeepers they gave us fresh towels and took away our trash they were really sweet and understanding. The day of check out which was yesterday I called down and asked if I could have a later check out since our flight was around 7 o’clock yesterday night they granted that for us which I am very appreciative of them to honor that. I called down and spoke with Ernesto and asked him about the shuttle and how it ran because we needed a ride to the airport because we had a late flight. He immediately said that we cannot check out that late and the shuttle was based off of availability at the time we need to leave. I said to him I know that we can’t check out later than 2 PM of the time if they gave us to check out. I said thank you and hung up. So after that I was scrolling through my email and noticed that I had a email from the hotel. It stated that it was an invoice and the balance says zero so my initial thought was that they charge me and me and a friend was going to split the room charge. I had called back downstairs and spoke to Ernesto again. I’m not sure if our room number pops up on the phone but when he answered it he had an attitude. I asked him what’s my card charged. Without me getting to explain why I was asking that question he already jumped down my throat and was like no the card wasn’t charged it’s just an invoice that gets sent out the day of check out. I said to him well it does look like my card has been charged and I just want to be able to split the payment if it was charged already then I just need to figure out how to get the payment for my friend to put towards the stay. He said well if you’d like to come downstairs you can come look at our monitor and will show you that it has a been charged. I said whoa I’m not sure why you’re talking to me like this but can I speak to the manager he stated that he was the manager on duty which wasn’t the truth. Because as a past Marriott employee managers do not answer guest services phones unless they’re short staffed or a staff is away from the desk. He would not transfer me to anybody that was higher up than him so I had to call the mainline and speak to somebody from the sales team. I forgot the young lady‘s name but she was very helpful and transferred me to Maria the assistant manager of the hotel. I explain to Maria what happen and she was very nice. I know she said it was going to be disciplinary actions but the way that Ernesto was looking when we went downstairs to check out they didn’t even talk to him. So Maria checked us out a 507 and was very nice to let us leave our luggage and give us our invoice and split our payment but I explain to her that I was very displeased about Ernesto‘s tone while speaking to me, I was a guest that is paying to stay at the hotel. I knew that we had to leave our bags so I didn’t say anything at the checkout because I did not want anybody to take nothing out of our bags but this is my review of that stay and I probably will never stay at this hotel again because I come to Miami often but it’s just a lesson learned. I am going to insert pictures of everything that I saw and of Ernesto as well so you guys can know who I’m talking about.…
Fully honest review here. This place saved the day for us. A competitor next door lost our reservation and had no appropriate rooms for us (6 adults wanting 2 adjoining or close together). Huge thank you to them for accommodating us at the last minute. Good things- -Beds are very very very comfortable. Honestly, I want to buy these pillows. - staff is friendly - common areas are clean. - location is convenient - good water pressure in the shower - quiet. - big tv with Netflix and networks etc - large room. It’s called a suite but it’s just a big room with a mini fridge and a microwave. Things they could work on- - pool is a little sad. 1 chair and 1 broken chair. No ambiance. Of course, we are in Miami and beaches are the attraction. - breakfast is no good. Powder cold eggs, no fruit, no yogurt, grey sausage, no jelly. Really not worth even attempting to eat it. Plenty of people were eating it, and I’m not a foodie by any stretch, but I couldn’t eat it. And our entire party ended up having to go out for breakfast. Even a fruit salad and some yogurt would have made it enough. - the room wasn’t super clean. Crumbs on the couch and floor. I wasn’t horrified but I know some people are easily upset by this type of thing. - For a room that sleeps up to 6, the standard stuff they provide isn’t enough for 2! 2 coffee cups, 1 towel, 1 bar of soap. I’m sure if I asked they’d have added more but we were here one night so just dealt with it.…
I arrived on Sunday afternoon and Kiana at the front desk was candid, professional and efficient. She assured me that at a certain time my room would be available with a lake view. She even communicated with me via phone with an ETA on my room due to overflow of tourists at the hotel. Hotel was clean and Kiana gets 5 stars for customer service. Thanks
No amenities whatsoever. Total disappointment. Room smelled. No breakfast. No pool. No bar. No room service unless you request. Mine was cleaned after five days and my request. No trashbags. No change of towells. Must request them yourself. No conditioner/shampoo.
