I came to the this Hampton Inn due to the proximity to my partners job location. Unfortunately has not been one to be memorable. We have been here almost for a week and they seem to get upset if you request anything. Last thing that is promoting to write this review is that obviously in this limited service hotels HsK is on a schedule or by request. The first day I requested service (we stayed for a week) the only placed the new towels inside the room and took the old ones. No trash was removed. Today we requested service at 11 am. Is 3pm and no service has been provided. When I went to the front desk and stated “ I know you notified Housekeeping but no one has come and has been more than 4 hours since we requested service the gentleman at the desk “Antonio” looked pissed and told me they have until 5 to provide the service. I explained that the reason service was requested was because towels were needed and trash has to be removed” then he spoke in Italian and said “service has been requested… they will be sending someone now… guess what. Is been 30 min and nothing. Hampton has a warranty of service but they don’t live to those standards anymore. Is Sad. We paid until Sunday and we are leaving tomorrow.

The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. We had a view of the highway, but could not hear it from the room. When we were in the pool area, also very quiet, could hear metro rail though. Pool and hot tub are very nice!
Our grandbabies were in the room next to us and we could not hear them cry at night. Breakfast was great too, waffles, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, cereals, pastries, yogurt and fruit. Location was a bit tricky to get into, our GPS kept taking us to the apartment next door, but didn't realize we's have to climb a chainlink fence! So you have to take the one way street almost under the overpass of the highway, or come past the Dadeland north station and turn into the short street and forces a turn into the parking lot before you go the wrong way on a one way. Staff is very kind and accomodating. Location is very convenient to Dadeland Mall, shops, restaurants and the Metro Rail station.

This Hampton Inn is not in Downtown or South Beach but is still in a good location and costs a lot less than hotels in those areas. Located right off of the Dixie Highway, 826, and other major roads it was about a 25 minute drive to Key Biscayne, the Miami-Dade Arena and downtown, and maybe 30 minutes to South Beach. It's very close to the University of Miami. The hotel was comfortable, clean, quiet, and well maintained. The staff was all extremely friendly and helpful. Adrian at the front desk went above and beyond helping us adjust our reservation when we had an emergency and couldn't arrive as planned. Breakfast is standard self-service fare. Nothing fancy but decent food to start your day in a clean and pleasant space. Pool is lovely and a nice little workout room as well. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

This hotel is relatively new but very poorly maintained. We have stayed here on multiple occasions over the last 2+ years and it has gone from a very nice hotel to unacceptable. There was no a/c in the elevators or hallways and large portable a/c machines in the halls very ineffectively trying to cool the hallways. Nothing was said to us about this issue when we checked in and it had obviously been an issue for a while. TV in the breakfast gathering area did not work and toaster only worked on one side. After returning our second night, we discovered that the TV in our room did not work and hair dryer did not work. "Manager" on duty offered to move us but took forever to actually accomplish this. After we moved into the new room we found that even though the TV worked, neither ESPN or ESPN2 worked. When we asked about this the "manager" told us that the hotel did not offer either of these channels. Really??? No ESPN at a hotel? The crowning blow was our third night when the alarms started going off about 11pm and continued to do so intermittently for a good while. Hotel staff had no idea why alarms were going off, but assured us "they" had checked and there was no emergency. Refused to call fire department and could not even tell us whether the hotel had carbon monoxide detectors or just smoke detectors or what was activating the alarm Did not call in a manager with any authority, but said they called in maintenance manager, who did not arrive before we packed up, checked out and moved to another hotel. Staff on duty were either not trained or not capable of handling an "emergency" of this type or Hilton does not have protocols in place for handling situations such as this. Those who complained were simply told they would have to talk to the "Manager" who would be in at 9am the next morning. Rooms were standard Hampton Inn, food was standard Hampton Inn, but this hotel is not at all up to Hampton Inn standards. If I could have given it a "0" rating I would have, but the lowest I could choose was a "1". We will not be staying at this hotel again and if you need a hotel in this area, I would recommend that you find a different hotel. This is a shame because the hotel is in a very convenient location and was very nice when we first started staying here a little over 2 years ago. Hilton should be embarrassed at the poor condition of this hotel.

Many of the issues that you mentioned here has since then been resolved. The AC unit has been fixed and no longer have those portable AC units in the corridors. New fire detectors were being installed during the time you had stayed and reason they had been triggered during that night. We hope that in your future travels, you will stop by and give us another shot.

The staff was friendly. Our room was a nice size and comfortable but the bayhroom could use refreshing especially a new coat of paint. The carpets could also use cleaning. Breakfast was pretty good and there was a nice outdoor dining area.

I’m surprised that the Hilton has this property. The staff is not friendly. Checked me in without so much as a single hello, when I asked if I could receive my water and snack as a gold member, the gentleman proceeded to tell me that it doesn’t always apply, but then gave it to me anyway. The beds are uncomfortable and the pillows are even worse. This was one of the worst nights sleep I got in a long time.
Oh and my door had just been painted so smelled like paint and I asked for a different room and I was told I could not because they have all been painted.

We love the location, it's centrally located and away from the tourist area. BUT, the bathrooms in our room where not clean and the furniture was full of dust. For being a Hilton chain, I believe this needs to be improved.
They have free parking which is a plus in the Miami area.
The reception area needs to be consistent with service (we were not offered free water) and we were not ask if we were part of the Hilton Honors program. (other hotels, always ask this when we check in).

Great location, excellent staff and good breakfast make for a nice play to stay if you’re looking to spend a few days in Miami. Hotel is clean, front desk staff is friendly and short drive to Dadeland mall and nearby restaurants make it a good place to stay for vacation or business.
One of the big plusses is that they do offer daily housekeeping again (you do have to ask for it) which is the #1 thing I look for these days when choosing a hotel.
No major complaints though they have extremely limited parking (other guests will double park and block your car from leaving) and really slow wifi (though they seem to be working on it.
Will continue to return on my trips when on business to south Florida

I regularly travel for business, and use Hilton brands. Most often, I stay at Hampton Inns. While I have stayed at over 50 Hampton Inns, this one is well below average. Beds are comfortable, nice showers, food is on-par for Hampton. The facility was updated in the recent past (not sure what year), but certain older/dated items remain (one example being the older painted wood door in bathroom is delaminating from the core). Room air conditioning units do NOT remove humidity, just makes it cold and humid. Five other people I am traveling with said the same thing for their rooms. This is a problem in mid-June in Miami. Clean clothing felt damp when put on. Towels never dried over three days. WiFi was down for two days and no compensation for the inconvenience was offered. If in town again, I will look for other options. I recommend only if the price is right.
