The room was spacious and bright with lots of lamps and outlets. The water pressure was great. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. They found room for us when we had to increase our stay from 3 nights to 5 nights. The maid only came once while we were there, but when we needed anything, it was readily available. We also liked the patio area. The beds were comfortable, and the traffic noise wasn't bad. We also didn't hear much resident noise.
The food was very good, but the service, not so much. The first night we were there was a Friday night and the service then was great. The weekend waiter seemed to need quite a bit more training. We would get the bill before we got all our drinks and he seemed lost most of the time. They ran out of the main dishes on Sunday night and we ended up buying food from the convenience area and microwaving our supper. The breakfast was the usual food you would find in a free hotel breakfast.
The things we didn't like about the room was the frosted glass doors for the bath. There was a separate little room for the stool and small sink, and another larger room for a bigger sink and shower. Whenever anyone would use the facilities during the night and turn on the light, it would disturb our sleep. When I walked around in my socks, they were black from the filthy carpet.
It is a 10-minute walk to the medical facilities, which made it so convenient, and about 10-15 minutes by car to Bayside Market and Little Havana.

The Springhill Suites Hotel located at 1311 NW 10th Ave, Downtown Miami, FL, is part of the Marriot group. This particular hotel has a not so good location as it is in a place where there is nothing to do or go to unless you take a car or call an Uber car. The room is comfortable, with a king size bed, a very good bathroom, but nothing inside the room's fridge, not even a simple bottle of water. An anteroom inside the room is a good thing if you are with your family. Finally, there is also a good free internet signal, which is always welcome.

I was very surprised when arriving at the Springhill Suites. Like most travelers we were here due to a hospital visit. Pulling up the property looks very run down and not very inviting. The pictures on the website do not reflect the current condition of the hotel. The parking garage was a plus, but was very dark and until you checked in, you could not access the garage. The people working at the hotel did their jobs very well. They were always responsive to our needs. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. Water pressure and air conditioning were excellent. The lobby area and the restaurant ( I use that term loosely) were below standard. The fabric on the chairs was very stained. Made me very nervous sitting in them. My daugher and I were planning on eating in the restaurant but everything we chose they were out of. Out of 4 dinner entrees they were out of 2 and they had not pizza. Unless you wanted a sandwich you were out of luck.
I would think twice about staying again. The cost was much to high for such poor or average quality.

Booked this prior to our cruise departing from the Port of Miami Dec 26th. This is perfectly fine for this purpose. We booked using Bonvoy points.
Some specifics: 1. For a pre-cruise stay, this was nicely positioned in between MIA and the port. It was ~ $20 Uber XL drive from the airport, and a similar price from the hotel to the port. 2. The woman at checkin (who had to work on Xmas day!) was lovely and courteous. Sorry I can't recall her name. The front desk staff was similarly friendly and courteous the next morning. 3. The room itself was good enough. The two queens beds were surprisingly comfortable. Room is set up such that the toilet is separated from the shower, which helps when there is a large family staying in the room. 4. The complimentary breakfast had what you would expect: toast, bagels, english muffins; usual buffet scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurts, cereals. No fruit however.
My only negative is the $17/night charge that includes a daily relaxation class, "drink of the day" for two guests at the hotel restaurant, metrorail vouchers, and high speed internet. If I was staying long enough to use those features, i guess it isn't a bad deal. However, we arrived at 10 PM after the restaurant closed (and thus couldn't get the drinks; however we were able to get two drinks from the small lobby store), and as Bonvoy members we get free high-speed internet anyway.
For a pre-cruise stay, for which you really only need a decent place to stay and some reasonable food in the morning, I would stay here again if the price is once again better than other Bonvoy options. I agree with others that there really isn't much around there within close walking distance, especially if you are travelling with young kids or older adults.

We have stated this hotel for 8 years. We chose this hotel because it's convenient location to lone depot park which is where we come every year to see the marlins vs dodgers. The staff is always very nice. And the location again is very convenient and the rooms are extremely clean. However after several years being charged guest amenity fees of $28 For what we're being told is the metro train which we have never used, one free beverage per guest ( there was just 2 of us). So just 2 free drinks we received and It included free wifi which you really don't need because people have 5G service on their phones. So looking into other hotels , because I think this charge of $28 per day ($56 in total was a bit ridiculous) Now , to mention , we had to pay for parking which I can understand that. But $56 for 2 drinks. No wifi used an didn't use Metro

Everything was good until housekeeping personnel admitted throwing away a bag of snacks and capsules we had while changing the linens. The person did not check what’s inside. We had unopened bags of snacks and packages of water capsules in that bag. No common sense. Just don’t leave anything in the hotel room. Or put do not disturb so housekeeping doesn’t come in until you leave.

Had to fly from Ohio to Miami with my sister for a medical emergency with her son. He was at Miami University hospital and staying at the Springhill suites made it very easy to get to the hospital. The free shuttle to the hospital was very appreciated. Because we didn't want to travel around we ate and drank at the hotel every day. I would definitely like to thank Leda who was handling everything at the bar. The food was really good and her Long Island ice tea's were the best I've ever had. She really was amazing!!! Thank you to the staff and Leda for making a stressful time the best it could be. Also recommend Onoy who picked us up who's number we got from the front desk to take us to the airport very nice and reasonable prices. Thanks for the teams kindness a job well done. Room was great also

I had to travel to Miami for business at Jackson Memorial. This hotel was a perfect fit and I would recommend it highly for anyone needing a hotel within a short walking distance from the hospital. The room was extremely well-appointed, especially for the price. It included a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker, a sectional sofa and large desk with plenty of charging ports, a comfy king bed, a big TV, and a nice shower with delicious smelling bath products and a hair dryer. The armoire held a full-size ironing board and iron. There were horizontal shades on the windows, which blocked out all the light from the street. There is a small business center which I used to print some documents and the staff were very professional and friendly. The breakfast was typical for similar hotels. Everything was spotless. This hotel is not fancy, but it is a very solid 3.5 star hotel that gets 5 stars from me for location, price, and amenities.

This was a poor overpriced hotel with poor service. They charged an activity fee for hardly any activities except a yogi class that nobody wants. Handicapped were not accommodate. Parking was very expensive and there were no discounts for handicapped. The room looked like a motel 6 for over$200 a night. It had one stylophone cup, and a basic bed with no comfort. The toilet and shower were in two different rooms. The free breakfast had prefab eggs of very low quality. Even though it was only 1 mile from the ballpark, there was no shuttle and s cab ride was $20. Never again will I try to stay in this place.

When we checked in late last night Thomas was at the front desk. There was a gentlemen in front of us and he was being a bit rude. Thomas was extremely professional to the man and at no time did he get frustrated with him. We checked in, the room smelled a bit like mildew, so I walked back downstairs and talked to Thomas. He explained that with the rains recently it has been a little bit of a problem. He allowed us to check a few additional rooms. We found a room on the other side of the hotel that didn’t have the smell. All in all he was a great representative for the Marriott brand.
