Was located this hotel to isolate after testing positive for Covid on a cruise ship. Found the rooms very dark but spacious. The hotel pool is nice and quiet but they don’t seem to clean it. Breakfast is waste of time getting up for. Nice to have coffee available all day. Found front of house, the receptionist very unhelpful. APART from Francesca who very helpful the rest don’t bother with Did not have a car but there’s plenty of parking and the hotel is close to a lot of shopping amenities
We stayed here for 2 nights. The power was out for a full day due to an electrical box issue. The manager was no where to be seen so the lady working the front desk had to handle all the questions. This was a situation where the manager should have been on site. The laundry service wasn’t working. They close breakfast at 9:00 - on the weekend even! And it was New Years! Who is up that early on New Years?? This hotel is a joke. I would not stay here again.
Very accommodating suite close to amenities. CVS close by along with a Wendy's, chic fil a and a Chinese restaurant. Nice pool and spacious rooms. Well maintained and staff capable to assist you. Breakfast was ok; nothing fancy - scrambled eggs and sausage with bread etc. typical free breakfast.
We like this hotel for its location and convenience. However, this time we have been surprised that, under the COVID argument, serviles as important as cleaning are limited to “cleaning your room every fifth day”. Likewise, under the same argument the breakfast service is extremely limited. Certainly we are experiencing a pandemic but that should be encouragement and not an excuse to provide better customer service ... especially when you are paying full rate. Very disappointed.
Didn’t realize they only clean rooms every 4 days, as wasn’t notified at check in. On day 2 I called and asked for a cleaning, and they promised day 3 that it would happen. I highlighted that upon check in, my room had black hairs all over the bathroom floor and sink, and the desk area has food crumbs, and dried up, spilt juice- pretty gross. Day 3, no clean done to my room, and all the hair and spilt juice remained. They were unapologetic when I called down, and still left my room I’m the same state. Day 4 check out, never to return again. Hotel also has no restaurant, bar or self catering, and the continent breakfast they provide is worse then airplane food. There is no value for money at this hotel, and when you consider the rock hard beds and flat pillows, you would regret staying here.…
The facilities are very nice and the lobby was open and inviting. The pool was clean, the front desk staff was nice. Overall a very nice place with large and comfortable rooms. The reason for the 3 stars is the breakfast and lighting. Breakfast was a joke, they had such a minimal selection compared to what breakfast at a Springhill Suites is supposed to look like. They used covid as an excuse. There was no fruit, it was just awful. Also, the room was so dark, I could not see. Very reduced lighting to save power. The lights were so dim it was hard to see anything. Even with all the lights on in the room. Its a shame as the hotel itself is very nice. My room was clean and so was the lobby. But cheating customers to thinking they are getting breakfast, and offering them gross water and a few pre-packaged pastries is just not acceptable. Bring back the Springhill Suites Breakfast!…
I didn’t like the fact that there was no storage room available to leave our suitcases after checkout. This is a MUST in a hotel that has an airport nearby. The breakfast was no big deal either: no toasts, no eggs and only one waffle maker with a lot of people waiting.
When we bought the reservation, the website never told there were no cleaning for the rooms. It is gross that they won’t be able to change towels, to change the bedsheets or to clean the room. The breakfast is only packaged bread, gross water coffee and the worst customer service in charge.
I like the location and generally the rooms are good also. This time, upon my arrival, they informed me the water to the entire hotel would be shut off the next day for the entire day. This adversely impacted my visit and there was no advance warning. There were no hangers in the room. No batteries in the tv controller. I tried to call the front desk. There was no answer. I walked downstairs and found no one at the the front desk. One guest walked away in frustration. The clerk walked up from the kitchen area. The breakfast is hit or miss depending on the bag that you receive. When I attempted to get the GM email, I was told her business cards were in her office locked up.
Not sure if this hotel paid for the high ratings. We stayed for 8 nights (based on good reviews), and it was 7 nights too many. This hotel doesn't even have the basics like a vent in the bathroom, or stopper in the bathroom faucet, ceiling lights, etc. Room is like a dungeon with very little light. Asked for certain room location that fell on death's ears. If it were one night, we wouldn't care, but 8 nights matter. We asked for a quieter room, and of course they put us right next to the elevator. Didn't even read my request. Those doors are hollow, even though they slam LOUDLY when they close. You can hear everything in the hallways on both sides! Front desk staff are overworked and they have the worst reservation system through Marriott site, mind you -- not a third party site either. It's black-screen, DOS based (think 1980's). They almost tripled charged me and made me (the customer) proof to them that I cancelled the other reservations properly. They don't apologize and I feel bad for the employees for such a poor internal booking system. From time to check in through resolution of me sending them Email proofs that I cancelled correctly, it costed me another 3 hours. Breakfast and service were a joke. No room cleaning as we have to take out trash from our room ourselves. We had to ask for new towels, but they they don't replenish and give us new ones. So, you have to go down stairs to ask for towels, tissue, etc. yourselves. Phone service from room does not work -- we tried calling so many times, at different times. Even called from outside lines thinking they will answer calls of new customers vs. existing guests. Such a joke! Read the low-rating reviews. I think those reviews are legit. Don't know what the hype is of this place!…
