All the staff was very friendly, hot coffee in the lobby and hotel is clean. I like the wood look vinyl floors so much better than the cold, slippery white tile floors with dirty grout found in most places. The beach is just feet from your balcony (first floor is parking so had to walk down one flight. Annex rooms...

We have been to the El Governor several times over the past 10 years and love it. The rooms may be a little dated but you're at the beach, all you need is a place to sleep and shower. We could not beat the winter special pricing and decided to take an anniversary trip by ourselves since our honeymoon 24...

We have stayed here as family for 2 years at Thanksgiving & love it. The rooms have been updated since last year (fresh paint, new floors). Rooms are basic w/kitchenette (stoves, microwaves, refrigerators). Rooms are clean, great location and great prices. They even have a beach side bar with live entertainment this year. Great value for the money.

Room was clean. We had refrigerator, stove and microwave. Balcony with great views. Saw man catch small shark from our balcony on last morning there. Recommend to everyone. Live music on Friday and Saturday night at the bar and bank outside of motel on Thursday night. Could basically walk anywhere in Mexico Beach. Love the motel and especially love Mexico...

El Governor has weathered thru many storms. It is old Florida style. The beds are fairly comfortable but the best part of staying here is that all the rooms have a balcony with an ocean view. Bring your own pillows, as theirs are not comfy. Nothing fancy here, just the basics...but that view is worth a million!

Decorations were great for Halloween! Weather perfect! Love the Annex! We go there every October! The gift shop was great to shop at! Front desk very helpful even let us check in early! Housekeeper were so nice; would give you anything you needed!

Older establishment with some modern conveniences such as flat screen tv and wifi. Cleanliness was fair. With large number of check outs and people waiting to get a room, things were often wiped in a cursory manner, leaving obvious streaks and missed spots around the toilet bowel base, toilet seat, tv, counters etc. Porch chairs were plastic, old and very...

Mexico Beach Florida is a family oriented destination between Port St. Joe and Panama City Florida. It is a wonderful place for families to enjoy their summer vacations if they are looking for Gulf of Mexico beaches that are clean and pleasant to splash the day away in. Our extended family vacations there for two weeks in the middle of...

We chose this hotel for proximity to a wedding we were attending. That same weekend was a motorcycle rally at the hotel. It was a great hotel, it has an old Fl feel, no glam and BS. The room was clean, every room has a balcony overlooking the gulf. Great staff, enjoyed the tiki bar and slept like a rock,...

We were disappointed in how outdated it was. Except the flooring which looked new and was very nice. Having our own private balcony was nice and hearing the waves crash all night was amazing for me. Kept hubby up though. I did ask for a room on ground that when i opened my door I was standing in beach sand...
