Sollas is a very nice small village with a great beach nearby. There is only one shop the coop but sells everything you need. The beach is beautifull and goes on for ever and the sea is so clear. The people from the village are all so nice and Helpful.

We only had time to stay one night at Marion and Angus's place, but we would love to have stayed for longer. It's not the easiest place in the world to find, but when we eventually did the welcome we received and the facilities were first class. We knew there weren't many places nearby to eat, so we had come...

While I am an adventurous traveler and hiked at least 5 miles a day, I have to warn travelers that there are no restaurants within walking distance of this excellent B&B, and the bus service was only okay on times arrived/departed at the bus stop. However, Marion and Angus (and Cara the dog!) let me know that I could call...

We just got back last night from an amazing weekend on North Uist. We stayed at 7 Malaglate and we would definitely go back. It's a lovely house situated right by the beach with amazing views. It's absolutely spotless, our room was perfect and looked out onto the water (and the sheep!). Marion and Angus are lovely and we were...

We had a double room with en-suite and an amazing view of the beach and sea.The house has been recently built and was spacious and warm. Marion and Angus were so friendly and welcoming - we only wish we had had more time to spend there. The breakfast which Marion produces was extraordinarily good and plenty of it too. There...

I stayed in this immaculate non smoking bed and breakfast for three nights where I was afforded the most excellent service by mine hosts Marion and Angus. The breakfasts were simply scrumptious - fresh fruit, porridge or cereals followed by a massive full Scottish Breakfast. Marion and Angus' home is in an idyllic situation overlooking a pale turquoise bay. This...

BB's are very individual places. I cannot cope with the smell of cigarette smoke in my home. Beware if you decide this is for you that you do not make my mistake. It was bad enough that I did not spend the night here. It is difficult to find substitute accommodation at short notice on North Uist.

Slightly stunned by the previous negative review. I would ask people not to rate this establishment based on this. We found Marion and Angus to be two of the most hospitable and gentle people we have ever met. The location is stunning with breath taking beaches a few minutes walk away. Breakfasts are to die for, beds very comfortable and...

We enjoyed our two nights here very much, Marion and Angy were great hosts, very friendly and helpful. From here we walked onto the fantastic beach which we had to ourselves and it continued for miles ! The rooms were comfortable, fresh milk for drinks, beautiful breakfasts with a lovely fresh fruit starter and Marion's home made potato cake being...

We booked for one night and got a confirmation e-mail confirming our booking-We arrived after a long journey plane/ferry /long drive on time only to be told in a very unfriendly way to get lost as we were told we were a day late. On remonstarting offering the e-mail confirmation of our booking we were then offered a very small...

At long last I have time to refute the tissue of malicious lies spun by Dorset, Vermont. We had expected this person and had a double room prepared. When 10pm approached with no contact regarding late arrival we gave to double room to a honeymoon couple who were staying one night. About 1030pm the phone rang and on picking it...
