Spent 4 days at the inn with 2 other families. The inn provided a great setting to relax and enjoy some family time. The rooms were recently renovated and comfortable. The 3 rooms we occupied (103,104 and 105)were very clean and well kept. The rms had a king bed in the rm, a queen sleeper sofa and full kitchen. The...

Thank you for your stay. We are glad you had a relaxing time at the Sandpiper Inn and our awesome beach. Normally the Gulf is quite calm with "tiny" waves, however whenever there is a storm, (like last week) the Gulf surf does act like The Atlantic Ocean. OK, to be honest I'm more of a Marriott type of traveler. This very small motel was a big disappointment to me. However, my husband enjoyed the charm of the small building built many years ago. The room was definitely very clean and somewhat updated including nice tile floors, an updated bathroom that was lovely, and a comfortable bed. It...

We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay at the Sandpiper Inn LBK, a totally renovated "old Florida" 11 unit one & two bedroom efficiencies, directly on the Gulf of Mexico. I do not understand how our beautiful garden setting on the beach was not what you "expected"?You booked your stay two months ago directly on our site, which...

The Sandpiper Inn is on Longboat Key, a quieter island setting with minimal "activities" in the immediate area. Food, shopping, and people watching are very near, just a very short drive to St. Armand's Circle. The inn is older, but well maintained inside and out with absolutely beautiful grounds. The unit we had was very spacious for two people and...

There's nothing fancy about this place. But there is everything you need. Quiet, clean with everything in good repair and freshly painted. Steps to the beach which is well stocked with chairs and umbrellas. A walk away from a grocery store and 8 miles from st Armand's. I can't wait to go back

I have to rate this lovely Inn in being excellent on everything! Last minute plans turned into such a pleasant stay here. Everything you need is at your finger tips. I stayed in the 2 bedroom 102 and couldn't be happier with how clean it was with everything you needed to make your stay comfortable! The gardens were very well...

Sandpiper Inn is so quaint and charming. Reminiscent of old Florida with lots of tropical, mature trees and shrubs in the garden. We had such a wonderful long weekend. This was a last minute getaway as our previous plans fell through. We were not disappointed. The rooms and grounds were very clean. It's obvious that the owner's take pride in...

We loved this place! We stayed in room 201 which was steps from a private beach! They supply beach towels, chairs, and an umbrella, which is a must for us. The room was large and an efficiency, it had all the supplies we needed. It was clean and updated. The only problem was finding a salamander on the bed (no...

I cannot say anything bad, it was one of the best experiences I have had. Quie, restful and very clean. Beautiful beach to boot. Many restaurants to choose from. Close to the Mote Marine Aquriam. Full kitchen and a supermarket within 4 miles.

The Sandpiper Inn continues to be our favourite location since 1973. The tropical setting close to the surf, clean, new furnishings, central air, even a dishwasher. High quality eateries within walking distance. Longboat Key is a gem, the Sandpiper under the new owners just a few years ago, makes it well worth your stay. Martinii

We keep returning to this little gem of a resort smack on the Gulf of Mexico, and although it certainly is not fancy, the proprietors, Chris & Harold, not only maintain it superbly, but keep adding improvements (e.g., great new beach umbrellas; new upgraded furniture; a second HD wide screen TV). Having been all around Florida vacationing, we have settled...
