We stayed in a kitchenette and the little extra money for the room was worth it. Our room was on the ground floor only steps from the beach. The Resort had free kayaks and a small fishing pier. Bring your snorking gear because you will see lobster and tropical fish everywhere. We loved this place and will definitely stay here... More

We lucked into booking this spot by chance last year and had such a good experience that we came back again this year. A family of 4, we stayed in the 3 BR townhomes on the ocean side and loved the balconies and pool. We saw a Manatee in the canal! So nice to come back to clean towels and... More

Thank you for your kind review. We are always delighted to see our repeat guests. The townhomes are perfect for 6 people whether it be a family or 3 couples. The boat canal has our gentle manatees in it quite often and what fun you were able to see one. So happy you found our staff friendly and that your... More

1/2 of the Lime Tree Bay Resort is beautiful, with tropical landscaping and a great view of the bay. The other 1/2 of the resort is located on the other side of the busy highway with no views. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apt. which was well maintained. The property, not the town have laundry facilities. I had to... More

First of all, I sincerely apologize for a rude staff member. That is never acceptable, as our first impression we hope you will be greeted with a smile and kindness. If you want to stay somewhere away from the crowds, this is the place for you. My husband, son and I stayed recently for 4 nights, Our room (Jr. suite) was basic but very clean. Although this was my first time staying at Lime Tree, it was a return visit for my companion. The sunsets were beautiful, but it was difficult to enjoy because of the smell of rotting seaweed. In the past the seaweed had been raked out so that guests could access the water without wading through muck. Our room was also less... More

Thank you for your review. The seaweed is something we cannot do anything about, and raking it we were told by the previous managers does not work. Happily it does not stay around long. When staying in March or April many of our guests are families on Spring Break and the kids love the hammocks... We are going to add... More

If you are thinking of visiting the keys this facility is located 60.5 miles from Key West of about half way between the first and last key. Great hotel with a stunning view and a fantastic rustic atmosphere. Sits next to a state park where you can see wild llife or rent a motor boat right across the street to go snorkeling. The staff is nice and we got a discount as we were second time visitors!
