We booked an overnight stay for 13 February 2020 as we liked the sound of the newly renovated hotel. Unfortunately the hotel should not have been open as it was clearly not ready/finished. The staff were nice and friendly...but there were no facilities, the ground floor restrooms and drinks machines were out of order. There was only one lift working which did not appear to be certificated. The rooms were nice but filthy, I could write my name in the dust in the shower. The bedroom doors slam very loudly, hence we were woken in the night and again very early. We complained to the Manager in the morning, although we saw him, but he was too busy to talk to us and promised he’d call us but never did. A huge disappointment...which is such a shame as the hotel has huge potential.
Fabulous little get away!!!. Perfect spot to find yourself. Staff were top notch and friendly. Atmosphere was splendid!!! I didn't have to worry about anything and the retro decor was so much fun to be able to step back in time like this!!! Amazing!!!
My husband and I celebrated our Anniversary here and everything was perfect. We will be returning again with our friends and family . The owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome - he is a fellow Canadian!
This is by far the coolest hotel I have ever stayed in. As if a 55 inch flat screen isn’t enough they have ultra cool rooms with Amazon Alexa Echo Dots, Amazon tablet, retro fridges, and even a retro Simon Game to play with. Definitely coming back since didn’t have time to use their cool vintage bikes!. The entire hotel is a cool unique retro experience from start to finish. If only the walls could talk from the days President Nixon and Frank Sinatra stayed here!”
