We hosted our Florida family holiday dinner at the Terrace with everyone spending the night. It was a cold evening so cocktails in the bar was a necessary situation and the staff was efficient. Service and food for 14 people in the dining room was...More
The Lakeland Terrace Hotel is a delightful taste of days gone by....in old Florida! From the valet to the wait staff, everyone makes you feels so welcome and valued. The hotel itself was opened in 1924, and is oh, so grand! It is lovely. We...More
It's hard to know where to start; this hotel should be closed immediately and refitted. The rooms are shabby and the bathrooms are disgraceful. The bathroom was dirty with an ancient cracked basin which was unhygienic. The bath tub would not fill with water as...More
We stayed at this hotel on a Friday and Saturday night during the first weekend of December, in order to attend a wedding.

I don't know about either - I would email the hotel and ask them. But I agree with other responders - the hotel is in a beautiful part of Lakeland. Next to the hotel is Lake Mirror to walk around (small lake, no alligators), stroll through Hollis Gardens halfway around the lake, walk two blocks in another direction and walk around Lake Morton where the famous royal swans live, as well as white pelicans and many other shore birds, ducks, and geese. The Polk Museum of Art is also on Lake Morton as well as the Lakeland Public Library. A small block away from the Terrace is a shady park. Lots of unique shops and restaurants in that area also.
