The hotel was ideal for visiting the middle of the Keys. The room was clean and cool when we arrived. The shower was a bit old fashioned but it worked fine. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The style with the bright colours was very fitting for the location. We enjoyed the swimming pool. The overall hotel was great value compared to others in the area.

We checked in a little early and the room had obviously just been cleaned with a very strong smelling cleaner. Luckily we had wandering to do while it aired out. The gentleman at the front desk had lots of information to share about local eateries and we found his reviews to be spot on! Parking was very close to our door and since we were on motorcycles, that was important to us. We were just a short ride from the Seven Mile Bridge, Turtle Hospital and Sombrero Beach, and were able to walk to a nature center, and Publix for necessities. Chickens were present but not intrusive. Loved the vintage feel and the TV channel card on display that explained how to make a phone call on the nonexistent room phone :). Would stay here again!!

Had a fabulous stay here recently. Rooms and motel are a tad dated but given the location, facilities, pool, cleanliness and value for money the Sea Dell Motel is an ideal base for touring The Keys. I found the accommodations very comfortable although the towels and pillows weren't my favourite. The hotel has a lovely pool, ice machine, communal BBQs, outdoor dining areas and fantastic AC. Staff we met were very obliging. The motel is very close to Publix, selection of fast food and regular restaurants. Sombrero Beach and Seven Mile Bridge are a short drive away and Bahia Honda and Key West is a lovely day trip.

This motel is dated and needs some work but it is clean! The pool was also clean but is set right at the front of the motel near the road. There are bushes there though so it is private. It sets right on route 1 so it’s a little noisy. It did the job for us as we only spent one night there. If you need something cheap and just a quick place to stay it will do the job.

Yes it's age is showing but they welcomed our 40 lb fur baby. The owners were friendly and helpful and the crew worked really hard to make our stay pleasant. They made sure we always had clean towels 🐶

Simple Old Florida motel, some good points some bad that need improvements. The location was perfect for our biking to old seven mile bridge and up to Key Colony and then Sombrero Beach, lots of restaurants around for breakfast and Publix for snacks drinks and lunch. The staff Ryan and Chris were very friendly and informative, we had our own parking spot infront of unit 23 with a a couple of chairs and table and BBQ. Inside the two queen size beds need replacing or at least with a comfy topper, the pillows were too small and luckily I had brought our own. The shower was set up for ADA but at an incline up to it from the bedroom area did not make sense. There is a good size frig and sink and coffee maker. The toilet and sink was also at an uneven floor for someone who would be in a wheel chair. Had 2 bars for hanging onto. This was the only room available at the time I booked and did not need these amenities. The tile floor needs a good steaming to clean the dirty grout, if anything spend money on that and new bedding . It was fine for the 2 days we were there, big room and had everything we needed but not if you want a fancier place and more comfy sleep and the price was right.…

I loved this Old Florida style hotel. It was clean. We stayed in two queen beds. It is a basic room, but it is a Large room with a kitchenette. It was soundproof, the pool was maintained, and I felt safe. The staff was very helpful. If you don’t need a lot of amenities, I definitely recommend this hotel.

We generally do not spend a lot of money on lodging when we travel. For us the room is just a place to sleep and shower. So in that regard the Sea Dell fit the bill. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately that’s where the positives ended. The shower had lots of mildew. The hot water was dangerously hot. The faucet controls were wildly uncontrollable. The bathroom had no exhaust fan. The exterior door lock was a joke. The staff was friendly. The owner needs to invest some money in an update. The other positive is the location. Only an hour to each end of the keys and close to Sombrero beach.

I stayed here because it’s a few miles from 7 mile bridge. So we arrived and unloaded our e bikes. Originally, we were in a bigger room. But it had a couple steps, making it hard to keep our e bikes in the room. So I asked for a different room with no steps. Turned out it was a lot smaller. Clean, but small. Overall, the property is very nice and clean. Close to shopping and food. Pool was warm and fantastic. We enjoyed our 1 night stay.

Upon arrival and check-in, we went to the room. We were there an hour, an hour too long. We first noticed that the refrigerator was leaking on the floor. We wanted to take a nap and we pulled the comforter down only to find thread bear sheets, and it appeared that they were dirty, not changed from the last occupants. We reluctantly laid down to nap. We got up in about an hour - my wife says that she had been laying there she noticed a crack below the AC and commented that it was there and that the AC was not cooling the room. I booked a room in another hotel. I was quite mad and upon leaving dropped the keys at the office. A couple of days later I tried to contact the office and the manager refused to call me back. I was requesting a one-half of the room rate refund. I contacted Booking dot com and they were unable to secure the refund. …
