We booked a canal room which would be very convenient if you have a boat as you can park it in front of your room. The owner is quite nice and clearly wants guests to enjoy their stay by providing free kayaks and bicycles and offering up good restaurant suggestions. He mentioned that he's planning on upgrading the property. The...

Look, there are two different generations of motel rooms at Coconut Cay, and that is why the reviews here are so divergent. Whatever you do, don't stay in the older rooms closest to Route One. In fact, ASK to see the actual room before you give them any $$$! I stayed in Marathon because Key West was full-up for the...

We stayed in Marathon for one night and ended up at Coconut Cove upon recommendation from the visitor's center. We paid about $100 for a night in a canal view room. The room was fairly clean and the a/c worked well. The pool area was nice and again, fairly clean. We spent the afternoon poolside and had the place to...

It's a bit old and funky but great if your expectations are in line. Romantic and spotless? Not so much. Homey, spacious and a great value for fishing, boating and hanging out in the keys. My family was very happy, third stay for us, a great value with their fall special as the occupancy was low, everywhere in the keys...

Our room was great. You would think you would have to spend a lot to stay in the keys but this wasn't the case. The price was great and the mini resort was really cool. The pool was kept extremely clean and our room was clean too. I would definitely recommend and hopefully come back again

This motel was recommended by the visitor center. It seemed like a good deal for $79.00. However, we found that the room was dirty and the deadbolt lock did not work. The bottom of the door was rusted through so you could see daylight. We had to put a towel along the bottom of the door so rodents would not...

I wouldn't recommend for a romantic getaway, but if you have a dog like us or are looking for a place to rest while fishing, this place is perfect. Our room was very big, clean, and had a very soft king size bed. Microwave and fridge. Outdated furniture, but fine for staying a few nights. Very comfortable. There's a dock...

Thank you for your review. We enjoyed you and your pet staying with us. We have a wonderful Romantic Sunset Point on the back side of our property overlooking the Gulf of Mexico with wonderful sunsets. We have many return guests and we hope to see you again. Thank you.

We read the reviews and found a great deal for this hotel ($70), so we decided to give it a try. The hotel was clean, but that's where the positives end. The walls were thin so we could hear our neighbors. The hotel is outdated. We would spend our money differently in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. Our quaint hotel was built in the 1950's and after several storms has held up quite well. Most of our rooms have been updated with fresh paint, new furniture and NEW BEDS! We are always striving forward to make our customers happy and to have "the way it used...

Thank you for the great review. We love your family too. We love having families come and enjoy our backyard. The Gulf just a few yards away and the Atlantic just a quick ride. We have had some nice catches from our canal lately as well. We look forward to you returning. Be blessed.

We had the pleasure of visiting Coconut Cay this past week on our annual Florida Keys Vacation. The staff is always happy to accommodate any last minute requests and to make a visit with them as pleasurable as possible. The rooms are clean, a bit outdated, but very cozy and quiet. I would recommend a dockside room if you have...
