We were able to secure a last minute reservation and everything was first rate all the way: Room, Service, Food, and general ambiance. Family pool area has chairs for all and towels to spare. Remember this is not an inexpensive hotel for all the extras. People expect more for less and you might be upset and disappointed. Carts will take...

We visited Cheeca Lodge for a long weekend getaway (much needed R&R) and were excited to be at a place where we could park ourselves for 3-4 days and not need to go anywhere for activity, food and fun. The room was nice, clean and updated. A double queen room felt a little small for 3 people (2 adults and...

Our South Florida neighbors like you are very important to us, and we greatly appreciate your feedback. Cheeca is just a 90-minute drive south from Miami, and the perfect place for a Caribbean-style vacation without the need for a passport! We are elated you found our resort beautiful and our rooms nice, clean and updated. We will make sure that...

My boyfriend and I recently stayed here as the last night to our weekend Florida Keys getaway. We were willing to splurge a bit for a much needed vacation from our stressful work-lives. We arrived at 2:10pm, after driving several hours from Key West, tired and hot. As we drove up, the front gate woman was friendly and welcoming, and...

Thank you for your review. We are glad you found the drive in beautiful and that our staff gave you a warm welcome upon arrival. We are happy you found our lobby beautiful with stunning views of the ocean, and that you found our adults-only spa pool to be nice. We are very sorry our valet and check-in process was...

Pros The landscaping was beautiful and well taken care of. Food and drinks were good. Cons Not all rooms are the same. We reserved a room with a private patio that was to have a TV, fridge, and cabana. What we received was a 2 chairs and a end table. Ceiling fan was so noisy that you couldn't sleep with...

We are grateful that you found our tropical gardens to be beautiful and well-maintained, and that you enjoyed our restaurants. Cheeca does offer a wide variety of room types, and we are very sorry that your room did not meet your expectations. We are also very concerned that your issues were not rectified as promised. We would very much like...

If I could do 0 stars-- I would. What started as a decent stay where I could justify a 3.0 star rating quickly derailed when I woke up on our last night to use the washroom at 11:30pm only to see a large ROACH scurry across the floor when I flipped the light on. I grabbed my shoes as it...

Please accept our deepest apologies for the issue you had with your room. We immediately dispatched our maintenance team to address the problem, and we understand and sympathize with your concerns. Unfortunately, the sub-tropical climate of the Florida Keys in these warm summer months can exacerbate this issue – we are very sorry for the inconvenience it caused you. Please...

We stayed for a week for our engagement and the staff had been so accommodating and plenty of views of the water and two pools to relax plus a spa. Plus a 9 hole short course. A perfect week for relaxation away from home

Second time here, and although it is quite pricey, the general ambience of relaxation in the Florida sunshine, the well manicured grounds, and the very pleasant rooms, makes it a worthwhile stay. We had one of the lagoon room suites with full kitchen again which we really appreciate. Look at the website as it really does give you a good...

Cheeca Lodge has a reputation as being one of the premier resorts in the Keys. They've been around a long time and hosted many famous people. But that's not an excuse for resting on their laurels. Yes the grounds are stunning and the staff always courteous. But had this been "Season" and had we paid "in-season" prices for our room,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The "Queen of the Florida Keys", Cheeca Lodge & Spa has been an exclusive hideaway for celebrities, business leaders and U.S. Presidents for over 70 years. Set on 27 private oceanfront acres in Islamorada, Cheeca has been constructed with a porte-cochere entrance, traditional Florida Keys architecture, chic West Indies décor, and spirited tradition of “barefoot elegance” -- a term coined at Cheeca. Along with a new breakfast bistro and lobby bar, Cheeca boasts three distinctive restaurants: Nikai Sushi Bar and Lounge offering the Florida Keys’ freshest sushi, Asian-inspired fare and a unique selection of Japanese sake and wine; Atlantic’s Edge with a seasonal fine-dining menu of fresh local seafood, prime steaks and organic local produce; and its family-friendly Limoncello Italian restaurant serving up Tuscan favorites in a casually rustic setting. Cheeca Lodge & Spa features 2,400 square-feet of retail shops with a Cheeca Signature store featuring the latest designer fashions and accessories. An expanded roster of activities include offshore and backcountry fishing, parasailing, sightseeing, eco-tours, paddleboards, water trikes, kayaks, golf, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard and more. The resort’s signature features include a classic 525’ wooden fishing pier, tropical gardens, crossing palms archway, nature trails, Tahitian-style Spa Lagoon, spectacular purple sunsets, 1100 feet of beaches, Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, Camp Cheeca children’s environmental activity program, and access to world-class sportfishing. Located just 90 minutes south of Miami International Airport in the Florida Keys, Cheeca Lodge & Spa is just a few hours by air or drive from major East Coast U.S. cities. ... more   less
