Well maintained property with a great location, friendly staff, nice beach and a small pool. Positives: Our balcony had great views of the ocean and sunset / sunrise, and was positioned so that it was still fairly private. It was a wonderful spot to have our coffee and tea in

We arrived full of excitement after spending 7 wonderful days in Miami. We had booked three nights at the Pelican Grove and at $600 a night, presumed this was going to be a luxurious stay. We arrived at 2pm and parked in the space allocated for checking in. The receptionist told

My wife and I stayed here for a week. The place was lovely and nicely maintained. Islamorada is a good location for seeing the rest of the Keys. The bar at Pelican Cove was place of quiet fun. Duke makes a great pina colada and they have a nice small afternoon menu ( but stop

they have snorkel gear but not scuba gear. for actual diving there are plenty of sites off shore which you can reach through charters unless you have your own boat.

Yes, that lager on is a part of Atlantic Ocean. However ther is no lifeguard on duty so it’s not recommended to to swim past the buoys.i don’t remember if there were screens on the doors, but we didn’t have a problem with mosquitoes whatsoever. Even sitting by ocean side in the evening was not a problem. I guess in keys there is a breeze that blows bugs away. Mosquitoes like to live in humid areas with bo breeze. On another note, I don’t think you will want to keep windows open at night. It might be too hot for that. All rooms are equipped with air conditioners

Do you offer marina slips to your guests if they trailer a boat in?
There are a few slips there for smaller boats. Maybe 25 feet or less.

We were very happy during our recent stay. I do not have photos of my oceanfront room but had no complaints. I felt that the photos on the hotel's website were very accurate in the size of the room. The rooms are not sprawling, perhaps more on the cozy side but I never felt cramped and looked bed the terrace. We visited their sister properties. Both Amara Cay and La Siesta were larger but we felt we had made the right decision for us with staying at the more intimate Pelican Cove. We also preferred that Pelican Cove had the only true beach. I found it quite peaceful and relaxing. Yes there was music playing near the pool but we enjoyed it and did not consider it to be too loud. I also felt that the staff was exceptional. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. I hope this eases your mind.
