What a hidden gem in Islamorada! Just returned from a two night stay in the Canary Island bungalow which was 1500SF of pure comfort. This bungalow was tastefully furnished and decorated. Loved the wrap around deck. A great location with walking distance to several popular dining establishments. If you are looking for a quiet tropical serene getaway…this is your place. Will absolutely return!
Wow! We just returned from a 3 night stay in a Hemingway north unit and honestly I did not want to leave! Our particular unit was a 2 bedroom 2 full bath with a fully stocked gourmet kitchen. The furnishings were so beautiful and everything was beach themed without being tacky and cheap looking. I was surprised at how immaculate everything was kept with practically no signs of wear anywhere. Did I mention it was extremely clean! We really enjoyed being at the resort and enjoyed the beautiful pool, borrowed some fishing poles at the front office and caught some good snapper right at the pier! They also offer bikes for guests to use around the property! We will definitely return in the near future and are so glad we stumbled across this beautiful hidden paradise! Thank you for s wonderful stay!…
Absolutely recommend staying here!! The staff was wonderful. The property was gorgeous and well kept. Our family loved every second there and the Islamorada area. First place we've stayed at where the guests and the local residents were all soooo friendly. The accommodations were everything and more we could have envisioned. We will definitely be back. Before deciding on the Caribbean Resort, we did a lot of checking on different places to stay from Key Largo to Marathon. THIS IS A MUST!! If you have a boat, that's even a bigger bonus as they have their own private dock. We did not, but there is so much to see and do anyway. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Stayed 4 nights during Spring Break, with wife, 3 boys. Accommodations are spacious. Nice furnishings, kitchens. Sadly, there isn't a beach. Hard to entertain 3 boys without a beach. We rode the bicycles, used kayaks. Nice place, but in my opinion, overpriced. I'd much rather stay elsewhere for $500+/night for a place with a beach, waterfront. Enjoyed our stay but probably won't be back.
We had an amazing stay at The Caribbean Resort. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys fishing and a luxury resort. We got to know the other families who were also staying there and the kids were safe and made fast friends. Very quiet and secluded.
I recently stayed with my family for my 70th birthday at the Royal Palm House South. Accommodations were just as described. We all love to cook and the kitchen was well equipped including a SubZero refrigerator and Viking stove. We made use of the grill on our deck which had a comfortable seating area as well as a large table for outside dining. Inside there was ample room for 2 sitting areas and a large dining table. Staff was courteous and helpful. There was a mix up with my original reservation and they did the right thing offering me three other possible weeks along with a 2 night comp. We had so much fun my family and I are planning to make this an annual event. It's just a beautiful spot.
Our family of five stayed at the Jamaica House. It was clean, modern and had everything one could ask for. The property is well maintained and you can see staff always attending to things. They had a lot of Rec. equipment on site, we borrowed fishing poles and had success off their dock. Centrally located on the key. Pool and hot tub are nice could use a few more lounges.
Nice location. Dock to walk out on. No real beach to walk on. We stayed in the Royal Palm North bldg. 2nd floor and were surprised and disappointed for the money we spent we share the balcony with our neighbors. Bedrooms were very small. No turn down service. Kitchen was woefully stocked (no wine opener). No food available to purchase on property, or even to be brought onto property. Certainly not worth the price we paid for 4 nights
I actually couldn't wait to get home and review this property. It was amazing!!! Probably the cleanest property we have ever been to. The master bathroom (we stayed in Hemingway North this weekend) had a nice shower and seperate jacuzzi tub. The shower and tile look like travertine. They looked like they were brand new. No mold, stains, etc. The cleaning staff is amazing!....but let me start from the entrance....we were a little concerned when we first walked in because the base of one of the columns showed exposed wood and looked like it was falling apart. The paint on the door to get in was typical, ocean exposed....so....we didn't really know what to expect when we walked in.....The door was open with the keys in it and we walked into to a beautiful kitchen/family room area with plenty of chairs and a sofa bed (that was actually VERY comfortable) and a TV. The TV's are small, and at first I wasn't too happy, but then I realized I wasn't there to watch TV, and I barely watched anything except at night before I went to sleep. The rooms were spacious. Everything looked new. The washer/dryer were great, but the dryer takes a while to dry your clothes. The toilets are regular flush, so you won't wake someone by flushing the toilet. The rooms were very quiet, and the beds were very comfortable....best sleep I've had in a long time. Kayaking was a lot of fun and easy to launch. Same with paddle boarding. Fishing was fun, but bring something to be able to get the hook out. We caught quite a few needle fish and threw them back carefully. The hooks we used were not barbed. My son loved it. My cousin rented the boat for the day, wow, talk about fun! That boat was fast and we had a blast. Just keep in mind the current gets strong out there and if you are not a strong swimmer you might find the boat farther than you like. We saw lots of fish. Didn't have time to snorkel but that's ok. The pool is also very nice and surrounded by palms, etc., and looks like a tropical oasis. The pictures don't do it justice. This is not like a hotel. It's more like getting a luxury villa on an island somewhere. No rooms service, but a full kitchen, and there are great places nearby to get food, meals, drinks, etc....or, catch some snapper off the dock and have fresh fish for dinner. FYI, if you fish off the boat you will need a license. They have plenty of poles, and the bait shop is a couple of blocks away. There are also bikes all over if you want to ride around. So, why should you be careful? The danger here is that you will now hold other properties to this standard, and that will be hard to beat....but then, why go anywhere else, right? We look forward to coming back!…
Great stay.... nice quiet island. One night key west three nights Caribbean resort, just right. Room was beautiful. Lux. Highly recommend renting the boat on property. Boat owner, Lou, laid back and easy to work with. Boat is steps from your front door. Fish, cruise, boat to the gulf side...all good. Keys at their best!
