Casa Morada is an upscale sixteen suite privately owned hotel inspired by the informal character of the Caribbean. The atmosphere is private, peaceful, and serene. The staff is known for their warmth and attentiveness. Casa Morada is a 90 minute drive south from Miami International airport and 90 minutes north of Key West. Guests of Casa Morada may also arrive to the hotel by boat. My husband and I stayed 3 night at this beautiful boutique hotel on Islamorada. Our room was pretty standard but the grounds and service were fantastic! The hotel is right on the water and the pool area kind of has its own little manmade private island. The water around the island is crystal clear and perfect for snorkeling or just viewing from above. Just from viewing the water from above we saw a manatee, fish, and a small nurse shark! The service was also great. The workers were very tentative around the pool area offering several cool cocktails and drinks. The hotel also offers complimentary kayaks, paddle boards and bikes which we took advantage of. My husband and I are definitely planning on coming back soon!

We had originally scheduled a trip overseas for our 30th anniversary before the world shut down. I decided to try to find somewhere in the US that was somewhat secluded but still warm and nice enough to replace our planned trip. It is an expensive place to stay but well worth it compared to other options we could find. Casa Morada is a beautiful little place to stay. There are a limited number of rooms available on a fairly large property. The private little island that has the pool, bar and lawn chairs was a great place to hang out in the sun without dealing with crowds of any sort. So we booked our trip for a week at the end of Dec/beginning of Jan 2021 The service is excellent. Each morning our breakfast was delivered to the room since they could not do their normal setup due to the pandemic. We stayed in the Iguana suite, which is one of the bigger ones and has a little private area with a couple of chairs and looks out to the little harbor and island. The room was clean and comfortable and could be made private by closing the inner doors over the huge sliding doors that overlook the harbor/island. We took advantage of their sunset sailboat cruise on the day of our anniversary and it was well worth the money. I'm terrible with names, but the captain and his mate were full of interesting information about the area while we were getting our private sail. The free yoga classes that were offered were very good and we took advantage of 2 of them. The free Bikes, paddle boards and kayaks were also very useful. You can kayak/paddleboard starting right in the little harbor. They are located close enough to many restaurants that you can just walk, so the car never moved unless we were headed to another key. I'd give them 6 stars if I could, it was just the quiet escape we needed.

We stayed here for 7 nights in the "Wildflower" room. Garden view. Room was very clean. Barely ever heard neighbors. Friendly staff. Used the free kayaks. Included breakfast from 7-11am. Danish, bagels, muffins, cereals, yogurt, fruits, hard boiled eggs. Juice/coffee/tea. Just wish the rooms had coffee makers in them. The bar at pool is not a full bar. They can make drinks with Sake. They had some beer and wine to also choose from. AMAZING sunsets here. No need to go to a busy location. We would definitely stay here again.

We understand that after the pandemic a lot has changed. We can no longer have a descent “latte” or a Capuccino” and the pastries are not good. The room furniture have been worn out. One of the windows had no shades and I had to literally verbally fight with the hostess Maura to get it fixed, so no one was going around the rooms to check if there is something wrong/missing in the suite. For the rate over $600, it is a disappointment. I hope next time we visit, it will be a better experience because we love the location. Cheers

Just spent a week at Casa Morada. We were a bit apprehensive seeing some of the less favourable reviews which, having now stayed there, we are really surprised by. Our second floor garden room was immaculate and very peaceful. Service was efficient and friendly, we requested room service once during our stay (it’s optional) and we also asked for a coffee maker so we could have an early morning drink (we are very early risers) and this was provided, complete with coffee and cream. Buffet Breakfast was lovely, fruit, cereals, pastries and breads, fresh juice, coffee and tea. The setting by the bay was truly spectacular, saw two manatees on day one! Drinks at the bar were awesome and served by the lovely Justine who always had a smile. We made full use of the complimentary kayaks and cycles (hardly used the car!) and even did a couple of yoga classes. All in all this was the most perfect week and we would highly recommend Casa Morada.
