We found the resort staff welcoming and friendly. The food was good. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of pool space to have fun. There was plenty of space in the outside patio to relax, hang out and play. Our family had a great time! Also plenty of good local restaurants nearby to try. It keeps us coming back again! Thanks!

Hotel's Favourite
We returned again to the Islander this February. The resort continues to maintain itself well a year later. The rooms are very comfortable with excellent bedding, plenty of dresser space and the convenient fridge and microwave. It is nice to be able to park 10 feet from your front door but then to have a beach or tropical garden out of the back door. We enjoyed sitting on the lounge chairs out back or enjoying breakfast in the lanai. The resort has a lot of activities to offer. in addition to the pools the Islander Girl excursion team is right on site. One day we took a 20 minute boat ride out to the reef for some wonderful snorkeling - saw barracudas, sharks, eels and millions of fish. Another day Sarah taught us catamaran sailing which we really enjoyed. Up and down the road within a few miles are several fun restaurants and other boating activities such as deep sea fishing. The only feature lacking at the Islander is a fitness center. About 5 minutes from the resort is a 24 hour fitness center FNX Club by Islamorada Fitness , which has daily or weekly passes. It has virtual spin bikes, treads, full weight sets and a lot of other toys to keep in condition after enjoying drinks by the pool. The Islander vibe is relaxed, great mix of people by age and hometown. We will be back nest year.

Everything was wonderful. The room big, very pretty and clean. The beach access from our patio was convenient and we loved hanging out there. The only suggestion is to get more help in the bistro area. The food is great, but not enough wait staff to keep up with the breakfast guests.

We have been staying at Islander every year for the past 6 years. We love it. Clean updated rooms with a screened in porch and a beautiful view of the ocean. This year we arrived and they upgraded us to a suite on the north side. It was nice but we didn’t care for the set up. The bedroom was in the back and a sitting area in the front with no ocean view no porch just shared patio. We explained why we come here and just wanted what we booked. A very nice manager came out of the office and found us a gorgeous newly renovated room with an ocean view. They took away the screened in porch which is disappointing but the new patio is beautiful. Room 121. We have stayed at cheeca but it has become tired looking and the pool is so small with barely a beach. Islander has the biggest beach in islamorada with 2 nice size pools and 2 hot tubs. Beautiful ocean area all roped off with platforms put in the water to swim to. The tides restaurant is poolside and great food and libations. There is also a separate restaurant for breakfast that is wonderful. If you get the chance to visit islamorada stay here ! It’s so relaxing and beautiful! We did enjoy the screened in patios that were attached to our room we are disappointed they were taken away. The new patios are beautiful but the screened in patio was perfect at night no bugs bites! Please bring them back. Thank you once again Islander! We will be back soon !!

This place is pretty nice, would come again, The room was pretty impressive Andrew at the front desk put us in a renovated room. The font door was key card but the back door was a latch so make sure you physically lock it, The back patio area was nice maybe the cushions could have used a good scrubbing. The property is nice an bigger than expected the hot tubs and pools appeared clean. There is a bar at the pool area with TV's. On one occasion the bartender, nice woman was very spot on and pleasant, but the bartender on the night of 01/19/2024 was in the weeds and stressed. I was waiting for quite sometime but it appears he had his favorites and I was an after thought waiting. The beach water murkey but that is not the property fault. Keys are really not know for their beaches. The gym is small but clean. The restaurant appeared clean but did to have the eat there. The property is big and quaint. Really liked it. Again the room looked and smelled clean, please do your best to keep that up, it is very important these days.

Islanders has had some improvements over the past couple years and they have really improved the resort. Beachfront area is huge, has to be one of the largest in the keys, and full of activities or great spots to relax and enjoy. Service overall is pretty good, restaurants are pretty modest, basically pool bar menu. Rooms are comfortable, buildings are all angled, set back from oceanfront quite a bit. Islanders is not an over the top luxury stay, but depending on what you’re looking for, it’s a great option.

Can’t say enough about the Quaility and excellence we experienced during our stay last week ! Love the special attention to details bottle of Prosecco waiting on us with free Rum punch upon checkin! The grounds Are absolutely spotless daily . My wife and I stayed for seven days ! Movie night on the beach was awesome they take special effort to set up fire pits on beach at night . All grounds are raked and attended to with very detailed attention. We rode bicycles everyday which were provided and they are all new bikes! We walked the grounds after dinner every night and at times Felt as if we had the whole place to ourselves even though alot of people were there . All staff we encountered during our stay were very happy and friendly . The breakfast was great every morning . Lunch at tides was also Quailty . My wife ate the MAHI Po Boy and was some of the best seafood she had ! I have stayed all over the world and currently have ARBNB in NC so I am Picky when in come to most things and Islander will not disappoint . Can’t wait to book my next trip lots of food outside properly you can walk to or ride your bike ! Well worth your time to stay here !!

Being our first time on Islamorada, we did some web research. The website looks great, but when you get there, the resort layout and amenities don't match the price. The bathroom had little bugs running around the floor. Not a very pretty resort.
