#4 of 20 in Islamorada
Islander Resort is a serene slice of paradise in the Florida Keys. Our breathtaking oceanfront getaway is situated on Islamorada's most picturesque piece of shoreline- a lush, white-sand stretch dotted with gently swaying palms and bordering the deep turquoise of the Atlantic.

We paid $700 at night. The hotel didn’t have the basic amenities: no pool service, towel service, smart TV, or decent food. If you compare this place to a Motel 6, yes is not bad. However, compared to Playa Largo, which is just down 20 miles, that is a hotel worth $700 a night. This place is awful, cheap, overpriced, and has no service at all. The only good person there was Danielle and Andrew. This place should only charge $200 a night, and that’s a lot. The sand is man made, and the furniture is old and cheap DON'T STAY THERE

We returned again to the Islander this February. The resort continues to maintain itself well a year later. The rooms are very comfortable with excellent bedding, plenty of dresser space and the convenient fridge and microwave. It is nice to be able to park 10 feet from your front door but then to have a beach or tropical garden out of the back door. We enjoyed sitting on the lounge chairs out back or enjoying breakfast in the lanai. The resort has a lot of activities to offer. in addition to the pools the Islander Girl excursion team is right on site. One day we took a 20 minute boat ride out to the reef for some wonderful snorkeling - saw barracudas, sharks, eels and millions of fish. Another day Sarah taught us catamaran sailing which we really enjoyed. Up and down the road within a few miles are several fun restaurants and other boating activities such as deep sea fishing. The only feature lacking at the Islander is a fitness center. About 5 minutes from the resort is a 24 hour fitness center FNX Club by Islamorada Fitness , which has daily or weekly passes. It has virtual spin bikes, treads, full weight sets and a lot of other toys to keep in condition after enjoying drinks by the pool. The Islander vibe is relaxed, great mix of people by age and hometown. We will be back nest year.

Dear TarHeelsVirginia, thank you very much for the detailed review. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Having a lot of activities on property along with Islander Girl Watersports really allows for a great time. We have taken your comments about the fitness center and will introduce that as a change for the near future. Please come back soon again for a visit. Safe Travels

These thieves charged me $750/night for a room that should have cost no more than $200 (and that's being generous). They put us in a building that looked like an army barracks. Insufficient windows / cheap decor. Notably no photos of a building/room like ours on their website. Complete sham. Stay away.

Loved staying in the Dewey House Victorian inn as part of this hotel property. If you are staying in Key West, staying in a historic home is a must. The staff were all very friendly. The entire property appeared well maintained. The adults only tranquility pool was very tranquil indeed. The Inn houses were so peaceful too. Loved the option to eat a breakfast prepared specially for those staying in the Inns as well as the afternoon snacks. There was another pool near the beach with a bar and that was definitely for those who love drinking a lot and a louder environment, the location is right at the end of the main Duval street. You can walk out of the peaceful inn, walk down the street and stop in all the shops and a ton of restaurants and all kinds of bars all the way to the other end of the street,

I had my wedding at the Island Resort on November 20, 2021 and I can't recommend it enough. The venue is STUNNING with so many different locations you can pick from to host your dream wedding. The chef's food was incredible and the staff were professional and reliable evening leading up to the day of my wedding when it rained and everyone jumped into plan B in a flawless manner. I especially recommend working with the head of events, Dawn, she honestly went above and beyond leading up to the wedding and was right by my side until 1 am on wedding night until everyone went home. She made sure everything ran smoothly and had such attention to detail like having a golf cart ready to take me to the bridal suite with food prepared for my husband and I before we went out to the party and held on to my personal belongings making sure I got everything at the end of the night. I can't thank her and the entire staff enough for everything they did to make my vision come to life and making it as stress-free as possible. I am picky ... but this place was a 10/10
