They gave us free drink tickets but the employees really do not like this. Mis-information was given as to where we could use the tickets. There is a free shuttle to downtown which was really nice. The pool bar was under repair. It did look like there was blood on the wall of our room as well as the bathing suit panty liners. Unfortunately this made me make this rating. I was shocked bc normally Hilton is a place I don’t have to worry about which is why we book through Hilton. I think it might be a Key West thing.
I was staying here due to unfortunate circumstances of my spouse being admitted into the ICU the second day of our trip to Key West. (I had previously been at a different hotel on Duval but wanted to be closer to the hospital.) I wish I could give every employee the credit that they deserve for the kindness I was shown. Joseph was working at the front desk when I met him and when I explained the situation he did me the courtesy of simply talking to me like a friend. He gave me hope that everything would be okay and even made me cry with his kind words. I will never forget that. Leo was working behind the bar at the restaurant on site. He and I had fantastic conversations and it was so much appreciated. I ordered my dinner a little late and he allowed me to stay after closing to finish my drinks. Being alone in Florida, I could not have been more grateful. Tariel was working breakfast and also behind the bar of the restaurant at night. I’m being 100% honest when I say that he constantly kept me laughing. His spirit and enthusiasm for his job are remarkable. You can tell he truly loves what he does and enjoys making a simple hotel stay turn into an unforgettable experience. Not only was the service amazing at every aspect of this hotel, but I also genuinely felt like I was cared about. Every employee here felt more like a friend than anything else. I ended up staying four nights, with my spouse finally able to be discharged from the hospital the last night. We didn’t get to experience Key West but when we come back, we plan to stay at this Hilton again.…
The room was out of date with stained carpet, broken mirror, and in bad need of remodeling, The pictures on line did not represent the room at all! Way overpriced for the quality of the room! Would not book again!
This place had lots going for it...very clean surfaces and sheets, great food, Tony at the front desk was great!, all the free water we could drink, great landscaping, the a/c gets super cold, free shuttle into town, big pool area...not currently very functional since someone smashed into it during a police chase and knocked out the pool bar. Nobody worked on it the whole time we were there. People still swam in the pool though and they offered the option of being able to swim at neighboring resorts. The main problem was that the beds were so uncomfortable. Please invest in quality mattresses Hilton. It would make a huge difference. Also the carpet seemed like it needed a deep clean. Water pressure sub par.
As a loyal supporter of the Hilton brand, I am very familiar with the facilities and the services. I was not disappointed with my stay in Key West. Just wish it was less pricey. Employees were very helpful and friendly. Special Kudos to Jim at the bar and the shuttle bus drivers - Jesus (in the morning) and Joey who picked us up at 3pm on March 31st from the waterfront brewery. An overall pleasant experience.
