Had a pool view room. It was clean and nicely appointed. Loved the view. The pool and Cheekie Hut were just great although the kitchen was only open til 5:30 and the Cheekie Hut itself is only open until 7. A couple of miles away...More
Spent 2 nights here in January 2018, for a first time visit to Key West. I was delighted with the hotel, the employees here go the extra mile, each that I encountered was polite, helpful and professional. They answered questions and gave us advice on...More
We went to Key West at the beginning of the tourist season so from month to the next hotel prices went up. Honestly, it was a bit of sticker shock. We had no expectations when we planned this trip because the timing coincided with spring...More
This was our first visit to Key West and we did not fully understand how removed this hotel is from "the action"

We got the trolley tickets the first time in key west. Was able to buy them right in the Lobby of the Best Western Key Ambassador. They were $30 something a piece. Best part there is a trolley stop right at the hotel next to the lobby. Enjoyed the tour around town. Worth it to take the whole loop once. Then you can get on and off where ever there is a trolley stop. If you don't have trouble walking it is a great way to get around. I am handicapped but managed just fine. Know where you want to go and get a trolley map to find out where the closet stops are to what you want to see. They offered two day passes as well. Driving around downtown is not too difficult but parking is. Most spaces are metered. There were some parking garages so I have done it both driving and by trolley.
