Coconut bay is a lovely small friendly resort on Key Largo. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Alexandria? from Tennessee who booked us in she was really helpful and gave us some really good advice on the local area and was funny telling us about Stanley the lonesome pine on seven mile bridge. The use of the canoes is a great idea and sitting on the beach front at any time is so relaxing. We enjoyed it so much way stayed again on our return from Key Largo. Pegs scones and coffee are a great way to start the day.
This place was amazing - it was a relaxing, quiet resort. There were so many comfortable spaces throughout the property, it was easy finding somewhere to relax and have peace. You can tell they take a lot of pride in the upkeep of the resort - the flowers and property in general were gorgeous. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and courteous. Several single and double kayaks, and Stand Up Paddleboards available made it easy to explore the coastline. The pool was great, too but we spent more time at the beach area. Food, grocery, and shopping options less than a mile, with tons more 1 to 5 miles away.
Quaint apartment style cottages. Extremely clean, updated rooms. One of the best perks - kayak, paddle board, and paddle boats usage was included in the affordable room rates!! Only downside - visitors not allowed. We were in the Key Largo area for a wedding being held at the Playa Resort. We had multiple families staying in the area, all at different locations. The fact that visitors were not allowed made it difficult after dark to spend anytime with family members. To be fair - not one of the places we rented allowed visitors. Would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing getaway.
We did my daughter's wedding. Everything for the event was excellent. Staff 100% attentive and did their absolute best to make the event a success. Food, everyone is raving. The one thing I find VERY annoying is the dinner reservations. It takes too much time and energy to do this. You have to be on line early etc. Everything booked up very fast even though we took the concierge pkg. Cbay is advertising they have so many restaurants, one of the reason we choose them for this trip, but it was very difficult to get in. I have been to many other ALL INCLUSIVE resorts and did not experience this. I also feel they can do better with the timing of their shows/entertainment. Most nights we are eating dinner while this is going on, hence we missed most. Beach has plenty seaweed. Resort grounds, pools area, lobby etc very nice. Bar great. Again the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. ALL OF THEM. I will definitely re-visit and recommend this resort.…
This was an inaugural sisters trip. The main thing that stands out was the hospitality of the entire staff! Jonathan and his family have created a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. They went the extra mile to ensure our stay was comfortable and accommodating. Renee at the food truck was personable and so kind. The gluten free scones were a treat and iced coffee was delicious. This is a great hidden gem that we plan to go back and visit again!
The Bay Harbor and Coconut Bay Resort in Key Largo exceeded all of our expectations in every way. The family owned 2.5 acre bayside property has a delightful assortment of 23 cottages, some right on the water with amazing views, efficiencies and rooms. We stayed in #3, the waterfront Seaside Cottage and had an outstanding view of the Bay where we watched dolphins feeding close to our front door porch. Best way to describe our stay - SERENE BLISS. The family who owns the property goes above and beyond in every area: the units are sparkling clean, many have brand new kitchens and updates, the tropical landscaping is intricately manicured and has so many beautiful tiki huts and special seating areas to explore and the commitment to customer care and service is awesome. Peg and Jonathan made our stay so memorable because they manage their beautiful property with such loving care, which is evident throughout. The majority of guests are all repeat regulars who come every year because there is nothing else like it. The pricing for all of their units is very reasonable, considering this is the Florida Keys. Plus there are so many amenities included in the price such as Peg’s amazing fresh baked scones and coffee every morning and the use of their brand new kayaks and paddle boards. We will be booking this property again very soon.…
We had an amazing stay here for a week in Jan 2022. From the nice rooms (that feel more like a little cottage) to the kayaks on-site, the beautiful water views, the MOST friendly and accommodating staff you'll ever find and the icing on the cake of fresh baked homemade scones each morning, I do t know what we liked the most. Also the landscaping is absolutely beautiful. Take time to talk to the owner and her son and let them tell you about the property..they are such kind people and they made us feel like we were visiting family. I can't wait to go back.
Great quiet clean well appointed rooms parsed in pairs or quads across ten small well built cabins. Extremely well landscaped with great waterfront & pool (plenty of romantic spots). The great staff will loan you kayaks, paddle boards, and board games. Our room had a microwave, decent fridge, utensils, plates, and there was a grill & picnic table outside our door.
Gorgeous hidden gem. Staff was amazing. The wife and I made a last minute trip, and was so impressed with this resort. Beautiful landscaping, friendly staff, free kayaks and Paddle boards to use. The rooms are extremely clean and beautiful. Peg the owner makes delicious scones free of charge every morning. Her son Jonathan was very helpful throughout our stay. Will definitely be back. Like Peg says. Come as guests and leave as friends. Thank you all for a great stay. 😊
We stayed for 3 nights and it was fantastic! Family owned property with wonderful customer service. The scones are out of this world and the owners are helpful. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything was updated. Right on the water and the kayaks/paddle boards were fun to take out and enjoy. The sunsets were perfect watching from the dock. We would highly recommend this!
